I was determined that this year would be the year and so far all I've done is gain weight.

After crying this morning because none of my clothes fit, tomorrow I am starting again. I'm planning to calorie count - anyone want to join to support each other through, on any WOE?

First day logging calories on MFP today. I forgot how little food you can actually fit into 1200 calories Shock

Need to be smarter with my food choices, it really doesn't help that I found half a bag of chocolate eclair sweets in my handbag and ate 8 of them...

Soup for dinner tonight and going to be better at planning tomorrow's food out!

Well done on those with weight losses. I too have lost again (after a blip mid week), I’m now 55.5kg.

I think one of the best things I have learned is not to give up for the day if you “fail”. Every meal/snack is a choice and if we mess up at 10.30am it doesn’t mean the rest of the day has to be a write off.

Planning my meals has also helped massively.

Mumski45 · 22/06/2021 10:38

@blueskyemily well done for making a start.

I find it helps to plan food at the start of the day and log my meals into MFP all together in the morning. That way I can see what is left over for snacks.

I also try to load my calories towards the end of the day as that is when my will power is at its lowest. I am less likely to give in if I feel full after an evening meal.

I normally weigh on a Friday but I did a sneaky extra one this morning as curious - and I have lost 3 lbs! Wow!
On Friday I was 10 stone exactly, today I am 9 st 11.
I am on Day 3 of being super good with my food. I have had less than 10g of added sugar each day, everything else has been natural whole foods! No workout this morning but I did do a 40 min walk with the buggy. And I might do a yoga stretch before bed.

Only problem is OH wants to order a takeaway for dinner 😖 but if we do get one I will order the healthiest possible thing I can 😇
Drink lots of water and a good workout tomorrow hopefully means I wont reverse my hard work!!

Happy Tuesday All ✨

I did it. I got off my arse and went for a run, outside and everything! Haven't done it in ages and it felt amazing.

blueskyemily · 22/06/2021 22:09

Wow @trufflypig and @CherryButton, great achievements!

@mumski45 I followed your advice and planned out my foods in advance today. It seemed to work much better. I actually did the opposite and ate most of my calories in the first half of the day. I find my willpower is actually stronger in the evenings (when the kids are asleep!!)

Mumski45 · 22/06/2021 22:39

@blueskyemily well done on having a good day. Everyone is different and circumstances change. My kids are older and are not around in the morning. I work from home and am generally busier in the morning so I have more to take my mind off food.

@TrufflyPig that's great that you got out for a run. Making the first step is always the hardest.

I had a good day today, got out on my bike for a 19m spin and burnt 650c. I'm so hungry now though, really struggling not to snack back all those calories. Hoping for a small shift in the scales tomorrow morning as not moved for 2 days 🤞🏼

TrufflyPig · 23/06/2021 05:50

Thanks guys. What does everyone eat for breakfast? Normally toast and butter for me but that's got to change.

quiteathome · 23/06/2021 06:06

Up an ready to go to a body confining class. I am slightly nervous, don't know why. I don't think my muscles are very strong or even exist at the moment

nodtik · 23/06/2021 06:12

@TrufflyPig @CherryButton
Some great news there!!

Need some inspiration moving forward as have to go away with work and included is a three course meal with wine on Thursday!

Need to be strong and not eat the whole lot!

Mumski45 · 23/06/2021 06:12

@TrufflyPig at the moment I'm on a slice of dry toast only but I need to up my protein so going start adding a boiled egg from today.

Could you swap the butter for a boiled egg?

debbrianna · 23/06/2021 06:17

@TrufflyPig

Well done
Wildernesstips · 23/06/2021 06:58

I usually have one slice of multigrain toast and a piece of fruit for breakfast. This morning I had half an avocado on toast and a peach. With my cup of tea that is 213 cals.

TrufflyPig · 23/06/2021 07:00

Yes good idea, I'll boil a few eggs tonight for the rest of the week.

I had low sugar Cereal and skimmed milk this morning but worried I will be hungry again soon.

Montysauras · 23/06/2021 11:28

Well done everyone sounds like you’re all making good progress and will be dusting off those size 8’s in no time 🔥

Weigh day for me today and I am another 2lbs down and it’s my TOTM so I keep telling kidding myself it was probably more Grin only another 22lbs to go….I’ve had a clingy, poorly toddler so not got much exercise in but at least I’ve eaten ok!

nodtik · 23/06/2021 11:38

Eeekkk colleague at work has a birthday!! I've just eaten cake 🎂 xx

TripleB32 · 23/06/2021 14:06

Can I join please? 154lbs and want to drop a stone. But half a stone would be great at the rate I'm going!
Have good days and then something like a birthday or anniversary happens and I go off track.

debbrianna · 24/06/2021 08:32

I am 68kg. Still going strong. I am hoping I don't slack this weekend. 🤞

JSL52 · 24/06/2021 08:38

Yes ! I'm 3lbs under my heaviest. Size 14-16.
13 stone. I'd like to be 11 stone and a 12/14

I'm tall at 5ft9 but feel 💩

What day is everyone weighing ?

quiteathome · 24/06/2021 08:46

I weigh on a Monday.

Still too ashamed to write my weight on an anonymous forum

TripleB32 · 24/06/2021 09:29

I weigh every day. Probably not the best but it helps me keep track more and be a bit more accountable to myself.
I'm 69kg, want to get to 61kg ideally, I just can't seem to shift anything substantial!

LaPufalina · 24/06/2021 09:32

I'm 10st 8 this morning and those numbers need to swap Grin reckon I can do it by Christmas at 1lb a week.
I tried noom but didn't click with me, not sure I can be arsed with weight watchers, MFP has worked before but the American foods get in the way; anyone got any UK based ones that work? I'd prob get a bit of intermittent fasting in there too. Not sure im noom might be it and I just need to give it another go Hmm

blueskyemily · 24/06/2021 10:27

@tripleb32 I weigh every day too, but then I take an average across the week. Best of both!

I'm quite pleased with myself so far, have stuck with my calories and am already seeing a tiny difference. Obviously the challenge now is keeping the momentum going.

becca3210 · 24/06/2021 12:26

I would like to join! Need some support with will power. Pre baby - 56kg current weight 63. Baby now a toddler 😂 slimish elsewhere but v poochy tummy that I want to lose as think it makes me look like I am expecting again! On day 4 so far and doing well. Just find it sad to not have those little food treats to perk up the day.

Mumski45 · 24/06/2021 17:06

I weigh every day but have to be prepared for the ups and downs due to different levels of hydration. I am used to the scales not shifting for a few days and then I get a bit of a jump as long as I stick to my calorie goals.
Scales stuck at 9 5 now for 3 days so am hoping for a shift tomorrow.

Target is about 8 10 ish so still a way to go.
