Trying to get from a size 12 to a size 8... anyone want to join me?

I was determined that this year would be the year and so far all I've done is gain weight.

After crying this morning because none of my clothes fit, tomorrow I am starting again. I'm planning to calorie count - anyone want to join to support each other through, on any WOE?

I'm doing ok food wise, just feeling so hungry. Drinking loads of water to try and fill up but feels like I'm spending my days predominantly on the toilet.

It’s been a week of low carb for me (I’ve cut out all bread, pasta, rice, fruit…basically only carbs are in dairy and vegetables). It’s been easier than expected though I struggle in the evenings once the babes are in bed as we had got used to snacking in front of the tv. We eat our evening meal as a family at 6pm so I’m always hungry again by 9 and don’t know what to eat instead of chocolate and crisps!

I’m not weighing myself until Monday but my jeans feel a little looser. I’ve got a wedding in a couple of weeks so really hope I can be down a couple of kg for that.

I quite like a sugar free jelly to eat on a night - I make a couple of bowls of it from the packet mixes. They’re very low calorie but I am not sure they are very healthy, though they help me when I want something sweet on an evening.

Man, this week's been terrible (but fun). Had a friend's leaving party yesterday and we went out on a boat. Non-stop fizz and food all day and most of the evening. Then had to have a sausage bap this morning to get over it. I have beasted the gym though and on Monday I'm inheriting an exercise bike which I plan to use while watching Netflix in the evenings.

I’ve not had the best week and I’m back where I started at the beginning of the week weight wise. I feel like I’ve really plateaued.

But anyway, onwards and upwards.

I weighed yesterday and I am 0.6lb up. BUT I have done nearly a whole week without any fizzy drinks, so that's something.

I felt ill this morning and have eaten a whole big bar of Aero Orange as felt sorry for myself. 🙈
Tomorrow is a new day!!
I am planning a big workout tomorrow to sort myself out a bit.

Well it's been a much better weekend than expected. DS2 PCR came back negative so we were released from self isolating. I've managed 2 bike rides this weekend so about 1900 c burnt. Weighed in at 9st 5 this morning so another lb down from tues and on target at 2lb a week so far.

This is the stage were I usually start to weaken my resolve but starting from a higher point this time I need to keep going for longer. Aiming for at least another 3 weeks if not a bit more.

How is everyone else doing?

@Mumski45 good news about the neg test, we just had results back too for DS and glad it was negative! Ooh would love to be in the 9s - well done! I’ve been really good up until today… eating nothing until now and Prosecco and Cadbury’s isn’t exactly nutritious Blush but it’s been a crap day…

Still on track for at least a 2lb loss this week though so I’m pleased.

Not good here. However it is a new week now. And I have a gym membership now. And I have booked loads of classes. (I have a special deal for the next few months.)
So once that part has started I will then try and near the monster sugar cravings.

I had a bad day yesterday- had a friend over and ate lots of biscuits! But back on it today. I’m cutting out starchy carbs and refined sugar so not feeling hungry really, which is good as I’m breastfeeding. Will weigh in tomorrow am. Hoping to be 67kg or lower 🤞🏻

I think this is the thread for me! I weigh 10st 11lbs and am a size 12. I had a baby just before lockdown last year and failed to lose the baby weight! I've tried a few times but keep going back to square one.

My goal is 10st which should put me back in all my size 10 clothes. Although if I could get down to 9st 7lbs that would be a dream!

My weight has gone up and down a bit in the past but until now, I've always had a flat stomach. I guess the weight used to go to my hips and thighs instead, which was easier to conceal. Sadly those days are gone! I don't know if I have the two kids to blame or if it's just age. Would love to get my flat stomach back again.

Please can I join? I am currently hovering at around 11.7, which is a 12/14 for me, and I'd like to get back down to around 10 stone. I keep making a few pounds of progress then putting it back on! Tomorrow I start for real though 😊

Joining thread please. I am 5ft 5 inches, 10st 12 lbs. My bmi is 25 and most of the weight is on my tummy. None of my clothes fit, never been so fat, I am usually under 9 stone. I would like to get to 9 stone by Sept/Oct.

The plan is no processed food, no junk, no bread (DH baked bread daily since WFH and I have gained a stone from fresh bread and salted butter alone). I don’t expect to lose fast as I am 53.

I'm back on the straight and narrow today!
I did 30 mins of yoga this morning.
Breakfast: Overnight Oats with Berries & Almonds
Lunch: Wholemeal Toasted Sandwich with Mashed Beans & Avocado
Dinner: Burger (no bun) and mixed salad (no chips)
Snacks: cucumber sticks and homemade hummus

Also going to attempt to make a zero sugar "coconut custard pie" this afternoon. See how that goes 😅

Hope all doing OK, longest day today, darker evenings from now on already ☹️
