I was determined that this year would be the year and so far all I've done is gain weight.

After crying this morning because none of my clothes fit, tomorrow I am starting again. I'm planning to calorie count - anyone want to join to support each other through, on any WOE?

Hello! Please can I also join 😁

I have been on a weightloss "journey" since August last year trying to lose the baby weight. I have 2 under 2 🥴
So far I have lost just over 2 stone but for the last 6 weeks have massively plateaued and struggled to make it happen.

I don't really mind what the scales say now - a size 8 is my goal! Currently a small size 12 down from a 14. I do fit into some size 10s, but not all. I sent back some size 10 mom shorts last week and swapped for a 12. I think I need to probably shift another stone to get there.

I have been working out about 4 or 5 times a week and counting calories, but diet is my downfall - I have a sweet tooth!
I will weigh every Friday 😁

miltonj · 12/06/2021 19:07

Hi guys... I'll join!

I had a baby last year and I've managed to loose 22lbs off of my ore pregnancy weight. I'm now 10 stone and wear a 12 (I'm a shorty). I've never been under 10 stone in my adult life so I'm pretty pleased with myself. I've been eating for England tbh but I think breastfeeding has helped although I've stopped during the day now. A more active lifestyle due to being a mum maybe? But most likely it's cos I have my tea at about 5 o'clock now before I put the baby to bed! I do snack in the evening tho.

Anyway I'd love to get to 9 stone and be a size ten!

Seasidevibes · 12/06/2021 19:58

Hi, can I join you too. I’m 5ft 7 and stuck at about 10 stone after lockdown, before lockdown I was about 9 1/2 stone and 8 1/2 at my lightest.

ShinyGreenElephant · 12/06/2021 20:12

@cherrybutton and @miltonj well done thats amazing!!

I've been absolutely rubbish today, write off. We go again tomorrow!

Southwestrunningmum · 12/06/2021 20:34

Ooo following an a very tight size 10 now

Miseryl · 12/06/2021 21:49

I've never been that slim and would love to be, not sure how low I need to aim. I'm currently a small 14/large 12, about 10st 12lb, 5'5". My BMI hovers around 25/26. I have quite a large frame for my height- broad shoulders and hips. What BMI are everyone's target weights?

Insert1x20p · 13/06/2021 01:51

My BMI is 23 at 65kg but I definitely wouldn’t want to be much lighter than that ( got to remember that BMI is a range for a reason). Like you, I’m pretty broad and also weight train every weekday so might turn out 65kg is too light. I’m just going to take it 1kg at a time with a view to stripping off a bit of flab to give my muscles more definition. First stop, 70kg!!

NumbMind · 13/06/2021 06:34

@Miseryl I think it really does depend on your shape rather than your BMI. I'm roughly the same height as you and for me to be a size 10 I need to be less than 58kg (21 BMI) and for a size 8, I need to be less than 56kg (20.32 BMI). I'm quite muscly though and I know a lot of other people at 166cm can get to a size 8/10 at a different weight.

Rapunzel91 · 13/06/2021 07:27

Can I join please? I've gained a stone and gone from a size 12/14 to 14/16😫 I'm 5"3 and about 12 stone which is way too much. Aiming for 9 stone.

This is the biggest I've been and I really need to change my lifestyle, the main reason is snacking on high calorie food in the evening so that needs to go/be minimised.

PlayItCool · 13/06/2021 07:50

Can I join too please? I've put on a stone over lockdown and want to fit back into my size 8-10 clothes (currently a 12). I've bought some bigger trousers and jeans to get me through but don't want it to be a slippery slope!

Great idea about knitting to distract from snacking in the evenings. I used to knit and crochet a lot (and was much slimmer back then 🤔)

nc8765 · 13/06/2021 08:02

Me please!!

I'd love to lose a stone but would be happy with half.

I'm a 12 at the moment and nothing fits me. I feel lardy and unattractive. I'm comfortable at a 10. Very happy at an 8!

nodtik · 13/06/2021 08:03

Please can I join too!

I'm and 10st 12lbs and 5'4" and can't wear some of my more fitted size 12 work clothes!

I want to lose a stone.

I have ordered and am starting a 9 day detox to kick start the new me, from tomorrow.

Trying the SMUG one - let's hope that gives me some impetus to continue xx

CherryButton · 13/06/2021 08:14

Morning All

I had a rubbish day for diet yesterday as went round a friend's garden, she made homemade pizza, and then I had some chocolate and biscuits too.

I have decided overnight I'm giving up fizzy drinks too as they do just make me feel awful, time to face up to that!

Trying to do better today - I've done a 40 minute workout this morning (fitbit says I burned 350 ish calories) and I've had Coconut Quinoa for breakfast - 😋. Then I a have BBQ later - must stay strong for that!

@Miseryl I've just had a play around with the NHS BMI calculator and I think my goal BMI is 21. I'm 5 foot 5 too!!

Moonshine86 · 13/06/2021 08:25

I would love to join. I’m currently a size 12 but would love to get into my size 10 clothing.
For me it is portion control and exercising more!

Mumski45 · 13/06/2021 09:39

Had a good day yesterday as got out for a bike ride and managed not to inhale the contents of the fridge afterwards. I find the first few days are the toughest but then my body gets used to it and it gets easier. I'm almost 2 weeks in now so not feeling too bad.

Not sure how today will go as I had run out of bread for breakfast so had to have granola which is higher calorie. The equivalent calories to my usual toast gave me about 2 spoons full. So I had a bit more to keep me going.

Wildernesstips · 13/06/2021 13:54

Ate too much yesterday. Frustrated because I ate really healthily, but then had wine, and the Doritos and chocolate followed. New plan is to prepare a fruit dessert so I have something healthy to snack on.

Anyway, doing well today. Done a decent 7km walk. Having a BBQ later but already planned that I’m having tuna steak and courgette & pepper skewers.

Think my BMI at goal weight is 21/22.

Montysauras · 13/06/2021 16:34

Hope you’ve all had a nice weekend! When is weigh in day for everyone? I’m going to go with Wednesday as pretty sure this thread started last Wednesday.

Just got back from the pub, 2 Aperol Spritz, handful of chips, flatbread and hummus and a couple of pieces of crispy chicken so hopefully not too bad…but only had a protein bar today so fingers crossed it balances out

Mumski45 · 13/06/2021 16:47

I'm hungry now but trying to last till tea time. I've not had much today Just small breakfast one slice of toast an apple and copious cups of tea. Looking forward to a prawn curry for tea and then a mini ice cream as my treat for the day. 🤞🏼I last out for the next hour.

Trayble · 13/06/2021 16:55

Id like to join too. I'm 5,6 11 stone and a 12 in most places. Wouldn't mind being a size 10 if I can't get to an 8 but feel like I'd like to lose another 2 stone.
I started at 16 stone 7 and never thought I'd get here so feel cautiously happy that the end could be within reach this year.

nodtik · 13/06/2021 17:13

@Montysauras
Weigh in for me is likely to be Monday!!

whereiscaroline · 14/06/2021 07:38

Morning all... I've had a not so great weekend of food. Hope others have got on a bit better than me Blush

I've decided to use Nutracheck to restrict my calories more Mon-Thurs so that I can have more Fri-Sun without blowing the diet. First day of 1200 calories today which feels like very very few!

Morning! I've been awful all weekend but made a good start today. Weighed myself this morning and I'm back to 11 stone which is what I was when DD3 was first born 4 months ago, so I'm really annoyed at myself. This morning though I've got up and made DD1 a full English breakfast without stealing even a bite, walked to the duck pond before nursery then done an hrs HIIT class which the baby kindly slept through. Fasting today so haven't eaten yet but taking DD2 and 3 for a picnic after nursery in an hour - my picnic will be an apple and an alpen bar. Already at 7k steps and about to go back out. Happy with that so far!

Montysauras · 14/06/2021 11:22

@nodtik good luck if you are weighing in today!

And good luck to everyone else weighing in.

@whereiscaroline 1200 can feel like plenty if you plan your food right. I try and plan my food on MFP for the next day and I find that helps me utilise them a bit better rather than eating and then logging afterwards.

Chatting to DM today who is also trying to lose weight and I’m so sick of not losing weight, feeling miserable etc but I only have myself to blame. I’m a terrible at self sabotaging and want to prove to myself I can actually do it this time… have some lovely pre-preg dresses that fit me but don’t ‘fit me’ if that makes any sense - feel so frumpy! Would love to get into a red bodycon dress in about 7 weeks time for an event so fingers crossed.

CherryButton · 14/06/2021 13:43

My willpower did not go far at the BBQ and I ate far too much French bread (and ice cream...)
But going to be good for the rest of the week before weigh day on Friday.

40 min workout done during naptime just now. Will drink 2 litres of water minimum.
Breakfast: Coconut Quinoa
Lunch: Homemade Hummus & Veg
Dinner: Sausage & Pepper Pasta
Protein shake as a snack.

I use MFP too, it definitely helps me keep on track!

greedymum · 14/06/2021 13:58

I've had a great weekend but not when it comes to food! Away for the weekend so too much restaurant food and wine. I'm going to make a real effort for the rest of the week.

I'm doing C25K on the cross trainer too.
