Hi All welcome to the March loose 7lb a month. Our founder and usual host @cricketmum89 is taking a well earned break so I've started this thread to help keep us all on track.
We are a friendly bunch doing lots of different diets at lots of different weights.

Wow, some great losses!
I need to get back on track. I’ve been hugely unmotivated (and a bit inexplicably low) this week despite my best intentions to eat better/ exercise more now the dc are back in school. I’ve been snacking, had carbs... I walked more but it won’t be enough to compensate and I darent weigh in! DH suggested takeaway tonight and I didn’t even hesitate...,
Someone give me a kick up the backside and tell me how to restart this please!

NerrSnerr · 14/03/2021 11:44

Good morning. My scales are saying I had a 5lb gain after yesterday's takeaway but know that's not a true reading. I'm back on it today. Need to plan my lunch and tea. I'll go out for a walk with the children and go for a run, ride on exercise bike or do a exercise video later. This week has been tough on people for various reasons so I hope you're all doing ok and keeping your heads up.

Hartleyhare1206 · 14/03/2021 15:00

Hi everyone, well done on your losses.
Hope you enjoyed your takeaway @NerrSnerr? Like you say, that gain isn’t real. Sounds like you’ve been doing some lovely runs too. Good on you!
Weigh in today for me. Period started yesterday and I’m as bloated as anything so wasn’t expecting much. Scales showing 0.3lbs down which, whilst not exactly thrilling, I’m pleased about given the time of the month!
Now 13 stone 1.5lbs. - really hoping to be super good this week and be something starting with a “12” at next weigh in

Happy Sunday and happy Mother’s Day everyone xx ❤️

GetTheStartyParted · 14/03/2021 16:28

Ooo, @Hartleyhare1206 I love dropping into a new stone bracket. I'm 11st1 at the moment and desperately wanting it to start with a 10.

I got to 11st0.8 last October but then had a few of months off dieting. Finally getting close now. Hopefully we will both make it this week. I haven't been in the 10s for about a decade Blush

DS made me a Mother's Day breakfast, and has baked some keto donuts for dessert this evening. DH is in the process of cooking a roast dinner too. Looking forward to it.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. Fingers crossed for weigh in tomorrow morning.

Hartleyhare1206 · 14/03/2021 16:32

@GetTheStartyParted hopefully next week will be our time to shine 🤩😆
Enjoy the roast and donuts xx

Foresttheout · 14/03/2021 16:36

Some great loses well done everyone! I haven't weighed this week. Will do so tomorrow morning, not expecting much as I've eaten so many carbs this week and had 3 of 4 meals out this weekend but I have been really reducing portions so hoping I've somehow just maintained.
Glad your daughter is doing ok @GetTheStartyParted

Hi all

I too am teetering above my desired weight bracket!

SW: 10st 4lb
CW: 10st 0lb
GW: 9st 4lb

Have not been below 10st since before Christmas so hoping to make it this week. Weight had been stuck for a few days last week, then on Friday after a bad day at work went over my calories with wine and chocolate, then on Saturday started losing again! Does that happen to anyone else?

GetTheStartyParted · 14/03/2021 17:14

Thanks! Fingers crossed for us all.

@Foresttheout I'm so jealous that you can eat out Sad It probably does help me to stick to my diet but I love restaurants and not cooking. Hope you've enjoyed it.

NerrSnerr · 14/03/2021 18:43

Thanks @Hartleyhare1206 I really did enjoy the takeaway and have been on track today so should get back to where I was in the next day or so. Good luck with getting in the 12s- it's always so good to go down a stone bracket.

I have been out for a run this evening and I have annual leave tomorrow so will run again then. I always do so much better with my eating when I'm doing a decent amount of exercise. I have a crustless quiche made for tea tonight which I am looking forward to.

Hope you all have a lovely evening.

WhoAreYah · 14/03/2021 18:50

Can I join please?

I don’t own scales any more so won’t be weighing in, but need something to push me to make better choices. My mum posted a picture of me from today and my face is so fat. Made the mistake of comparing it to when I was a size 6 and feel so awful about myself. Just sent DH to the shops to buy me a box of quality street to lament into. But tomorrow is a new day!

I weighed myself at my mums a few weeks ago and I was 10st 4.
First goal is 9st 7 (won’t be able to weigh for a while)
Ultimate goal is 9st (but would love to be 8st 10. Can’t see that happening. Haven’t been 9st since 2015 so not sure if that’ll happen either).

I have binge eating disorder which complicates matters and I am a carb fiend.

Foresttheout · 15/03/2021 08:15

Glad you enjoyed the takeaway @NerrSnerr
Sadly my weekend of eating out has put me back to 72.3kg so going to have to be on best behaviour this week to make up for it. Particuarly as I am going away for easter and my diet will probably go out the window. @GetTheStartyParted I am terrible for eating out, makes it very hard to stick to the diet but as I do 100% of the cooking in the week by the time Saturday roles around I just want someone else to do it as DP is a hopeless cook so that usually results in us heading out. Hoping you can get out and be waited on soon!
Welcome @WhoAreYah I am a fellow carb fiend, I am trying very much to reduce them but its bloody hard

NerrSnerr · 15/03/2021 08:17

welcome @WhoAreYah. I'm a carb fiend too. I try and reduce the carbs I eat but find low carbing miserable so don't do it (although it works for lots of people).

WhoAreYah · 15/03/2021 08:20

@NerrSnerr I’d honestly rather not have the meat than give up the carbs on my plate! A bowl of mash and veg is far preferable than sausages and veg for me.

Thank you for the welcome. I normally fall off the wagon by 3pm

pumpkinpig · 15/03/2021 11:16

Some great progress for some people - well done!

New SW 01/03/21 170.8lbs
Last week 08/03/21 166.4lbs
CW 15/03/21 167.2lbs

Not unexpected considering how much appeared to come off last week. We also had a curry last night with rice and naan and I had a few cheeky TimBits from Tim Hortons on Saturday even though I’d had a big brunch.

Monday to Friday calories hovered around 1300-1400 average and I didn’t track at the weekend which is likely my downfall! Back at it and no big weekend treats this week. 3.5lbs in two weeks is nothing to sniff at and should hopefully see me on track for the month.

Hartleyhare1206 · 15/03/2021 16:43

Welcome @WhoAreYah -
I’m a carb fiend too - not fussed about meat In the slightest but pasta/potato’s rock my world!

Just accidentally ate a donut. Bugger. Being in the “12’s” on Sunday is looking less likely by the day 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

ILoveAnOwl · 15/03/2021 16:51

Another week, another kilo gone.

SW: 117kg (31.1.2021)
CW: 105KG
GW: 67KG.

Let's hope for another kg this week

WhoAreYah · 15/03/2021 18:57

Thank you!

I have had 3 meals today and no snacks which is good. Dinner was high calorie though, was trying something new and it wasn’t worth it. But I have walked 10,000 steps today.

Tash6000 · 16/03/2021 10:35

Forgot to weigh in yesterday but did this morning.
March start weight - 149.8lb
Today's weight -147.2lb
Sloooowly creeping down but going in the right direction none the less. 9lb off in total from beginning of Feb. Lots of walking, no mindless eating and not expecting huge losses each week seems to be making a positive difference. All the walking has made more of a physical impact than anything else..goodbye muffin tops 💃

Onesmallstep67 · 16/03/2021 10:52

I'm doing okay I think. My head seems to be in the zone again with it. I've not been feeling as hungry generally so managing to have a biggish breakfast, snack mid afternoon and tea ( dinner) in the evening. Still feels like each day is a mental calculation of how I can get through and to bedtime without falling off the wagon too much. Weakness is still wanting 'something' in the evening although never actually hungry.

@ILoveAnOwl, that's a very impressive loss, 12kg in just over 6 weeks or so ! What have you been doing ?

NerrSnerr · 16/03/2021 11:45

Morning all. My weight is still a bit up from last week but I'm feeling a bit bloated so hoping it will come off. It's a working day today for me so I'll just do a quick exercise video later.

Had avocado on toast for breakfast and think I'll have a baked potato for lunch but no idea about tea yet. Need to plan something.

WhoAreYah · 16/03/2021 11:57

well done ladies! I’d be happy with that.

I’ve just had breakfast and trying to stick to 3 meals a day (no snacks).

I went through the weigh in details I had when I got really skinny (many years ago). It felt fast but it actually took 7 months to lose 38lbs. I think the reason it was speedy mentally was because I lost most of it when I got slimmer and slimmer. 18 weeks to lose 27lbs (average of 1.5lbs a week) but at that weight literally every pound off showed (I went down to 8st 2)

I miss the discipline that I look back on it as but actually at the time I was a mess mentally, anorexic tendencies, OCD was crazy and I may have looked good but I was struggling a lot.

ILoveAnOwl · 16/03/2021 13:08

@Onesmallstep67 low carb and intermittent fasting. Feeling so much better for it!

Sunsetsandroses · 16/03/2021 13:09

Can I join?
Start weight was 174lb on 4th Jan
Most recently weighed at 163.5lb on 3rd March. Currently my bmi is 27.8, to get into the normal range of 25 or below I would need to be 146lb, so lose 17.5lb.

I would like to start ttc in summer, so want to lose the weight by then.
I'm currently calorie counting using my fitness pal, need to start exercising too but just so shattered after work I'm struggling.

I dont tend to eat breakfast, today for lunch I've got a smoked salmon and cheese salad (weighed everything out so I know how much I'm eating).

WhoAreYah · 16/03/2021 13:32

@Sunsetsandroses what do you do? I find if I don’t get out first thing I don’t go. The school run is my saviour as I walk it if not raining. That gets me 30+ minutes in.

MegBusset · 16/03/2021 14:10

I have tried and failed with so many forms of e exercising (swimming, running, gym classes...) I can manage for a few weeks then I just burn out, or become injured or ill. The only thing that's sustainable for me is walking which I do every day before work, at lunchtime and straight after work. That adds up to a good 1.5hrs a day and is great for my mental health too.
