hi all,
ive started on Saxenda last tuesday starting weight 112.3 kg i have approx 25.4 kg or 4stone to budge and am interested if anyone else has recently started and how they find it

i will update this daily so im accountable and hope it will make the process easier

weigh in will be mondays so one tomorrow and i knowi have lost some

finding it ok,first 2 days felt awful but was detoxing sugar as well but now feel fine,im keeping an eye on my calories to and will try to keep to 900 -1100 daily,ive cut my portions and no crisps,biscuits,chocolate at all but i still feel a little hungry even with the daily injection but its ok

I haven’t had those but they are pretty notorious on the fb groups if you’ve seen them? Not sure there’s a cure though.

Haven't had the egg burps but I do seem to have indigestion a lot of the time at the moment. And nausea which I didn't have at the start.

I'm still on my first pen and I don't think I'm going to buy more. My appetite is back to normal and the nausea is kind of like in pregnancy where you feel like you need to eat something to settle your stomach. I've lost a few pounds over the almost 3 weeks but not enough to warrant the money and side effects. Back to the drawing board 😕

Hi everyone, I just found out about the injections from a friend who has been using them and I am considering using them now. I only need to loose about a stone to be comfortable, however if I lost 1.5 stones I would also be happy

I am just wondering if any of you would mind sharing your starting weight / height and weight loss so far and how long you have been using them?

I am 5'2 and weight 10.2 stone, I would love to be back to 9 ish stone again and I'm wondering if this works well for people with a little to loose?

Sick and tired of feeling unhappy and depressed about my weight. Although I was never slim or skinny, 220lbs is the heaviest I’ve ever been! I’ve gained 30lbs in the last year alone.

Fed up of getting tired so easily and out of breath. Not to mention my clothes no longer fit me and I don’t look nice in anything anymore. Can’t even remember the last time I even took a photo of myself!

For reference I’m 32, 5ft 7, and 220lbs (15stone10lbs). Im wearing 14-16 UK size.

My goal weight is 11 stone 7lb to get myself into a healthy BMI.

Hi everyone. I only started on Saturday and I'm 5lbs down. No side effects apart from not really fancying food. Injections are so easy. Shall I move up or stay on 0.6?

Hi all, just joining having taken my first dose. I have been chronically sick the last 3 months and long story short the impact of various medications that were necessary means I have gone from a BMI of 24.5 to 30 in that time. I am looking to shift this before my next IVF round in the spring.

I was wondering is it better to inject in the morning, midday or at night?

I inject about 10am and it seems to see me through evening cravings but I don't think it matters that much.

Hi all just looking for some advice. I started saxenda last week. I am due to go up in dose today. I am wondering should I go up today as prescription states. I have lost 5lbs, at times I am hungry but not my normal ravenous hunger. I have not had any side effects. So should I stay at 0.6 or go up? Anyone have advice on this. Thank you 😊

No advice but I'm in the same situation and I decided to go up today. Thought I'd trust the science although I can't afford to do this long term so maybe should have stayed at 0.6. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

Did anyone get over side effects?

I tried Saxenda last year and stopped after being sick one night, about a week in.

I am DESPERATE though.

Nothing seems to work, maybe this won't either but I was definitely not feeling hunger on Saxenda. I don't know what to do.

I have just got a script from my GP and first injection today.
Very hopeful this will work!

Injected about 7 pm before dinner 0.6 mg
Vomited ++ about 6 am!
Will get some anti-nausea pills ? Anybody same reaction?

I took some anti nausea pills late afternoon, then again before bed. Injected 0.6 mg after dinner - stomach fuller and so far so good.
My appetite has completely reduced - so working!
I have a feeling that I am not going to be increasing dose quickly.
I appreciate someone asking!

I looked back over my diary and realised I actually took it two weeks before being ill one night

I am very much in a health danger zone at my weight so I guess it's worth it but I will increase slowly and if 0.6 helps, I might just stick there and see what happens.

I still vomited despite the anti nausea meds! I was better prepared though - bucket by bed!
I have a cough at the moment though too which may not help as probably coughing triggers vomiting.
My appetite is reduced and I want to persevere with it.
Got a different anti nausea pill to try tonight - wish me luck!
It’s a pity the pen doesn’t allow you to dial 0.3 mg.
I think I won’t need to be taking more than 0.6mg - makes it cheap!
