@BigBumBessie
Where did you get your pens from and how much were they?
Assuming, of course they weren't prescribed...
HowlingGale recommended chemist-4-u which I'll look into.
Good luck, Pal

Just checking in. 3 month check tomorrow and I'm down 2.5 stone. Have lost 1/2 stone since my last check up. In my head I'm thinking £260 is a lot for 1/2 a stone and then I have a head wobble and think how easy it's been, and that in another two months I'll only be a stone overweight. Interestingly I've been eating more this month and doing a bit less exercise and my loss has been the same. We've been doing Gousto boxes and Mindful Chef smoothie pouches for breakfast so I'm eating more healthily too. Need to focus more on strength exercise vs cardio as that's apparently better for weight loss.

HowlingGale · 13/05/2021 11:20

Amazing result diet! I know what you mean re the cost but I say to myself that if at the start of the year someone had said will you pay £750 if you could lose 2 and a half stone you'd probably say yes! I know I would. I decided I was going to commit to this for 6 months regardless if weight loss was sometimes slow and just stick It out. I appreciate that I am fortunate in that I can afford to do this but I do sometimes come out in a bit of a cold sweat about the money aspect. However it is working and I know that losing weight will make me so much happier so have decided it's worth the investment.

andadietcoke · 13/05/2021 11:45

Exactly this @HowlingGale - and given that I was considering weight loss surgery it's basically a bargain!!

princessfairy1 · 13/05/2021 17:25

I started just over a week ago. No side effects at all, was feeling bad and lost 4lb. Now I'm 2 days into the 1.2 dose but today I feel wiped out, jittery and having heart flutters. I know these are side effects but I'm wondering do I persevere and see if it goes or do I drop back down to 0.6? I know many people stay on the lowest dose that works for them to avoid side effects and make the pens last longer but I was started to get hungry again on 0.6. Shall I ride it out or drop back down, do you think?

princessfairy1 · 13/05/2021 17:27

Sorry, was meant to say WASN'T feeling bad

andadietcoke · 13/05/2021 20:57

@princessfairy1 my HR went up massively on 1.2. It came down after a few days and hasn't come up again. If you were feeling hungry on 0.6 I'd see if you can stick it out.

BigBumBessie
How're you doing on Day 3? Any side effects? When is the best time for you to inject?
I'm getting my pens tomorrow, hopefully so will start on Sunday. Excited!

BigBumBessie · 15/05/2021 06:47

I am doing really well! No side effects (although I haven't done a number 2 since Tues..) Full of energy and managed to easily stay below 1000 calories each day. I'm injecting at 8am after I get back from the gym. Having a diet coke around this time then eating an egg at about 11am. Salad and protein for lunch and a small dinner off a side plate. Good luck on your journey, excited for you !
Oneearringlost · 15/05/2021 12:41

Just injected my 1st one at about midday.
I've been low carving ( it's taken me to have to reduce to 20g/day to achieve ketosis!) And fast 800. Have stuck religiously, (even working out that 400g ( 2 large) peppers come to just over 20g! Haven't lost a single ounce in the last week. I have 33 pounds to lose. Feeling despondent and excited at the same time, hoping Sax will take away some of the harshness of this regime.

Oneearringlost · 15/05/2021 12:44

How long did it take any of you to feel any effects or get side effects?

BigBumBessie · 16/05/2021 11:56

Hey @oneearring how are you getting along?

Oneearringlost · 16/05/2021 16:14

Hello BigBumBessie!
2nd day, injected at 8am. Good so far, none of the empty, harsh symptoms. But I'm an all or nothing girl, so I'll starve or binge with impunity, depending on my prevailing mood.
Will break my carb austerity tonight as I'm really not sure ultra low carb is the way to go.
BUT, down three pounds. so in the last 12 days have lost 7 pounds. No horrible side effects, just bored with coming up with inventive protein suppers.
How are you? Tell me you news good or bad...

BigBumBessie · 16/05/2021 18:15

7lbs is great!
I'll be weighing in the morning (after my 6.15am spin class - am so excited classes are back on)
I am on my womens' complaint so am feeling bloated and like I haven't lost anything but I've stuck to very low cal and I'm full of energy. My house has never looked so clean.
Have been to the gym this morning but considering going out for a walk now as still have energy.
The main thing is I haven't had any wine (which is unheard of for me on a weekend) and I haven't missed it

Oneearringlost · 16/05/2021 18:20

Good luck, Bessie..

BigBumBessie · 17/05/2021 07:40

5lbs off. Was going to put only but actually that's 5lbs in 5 days as I didn't start 'til Wednesday so I'll have some of that
13st8 start
13st3 today

princessfairy1 · 17/05/2021 16:16

@andadietcoke thanks for the advice! I read your message and took the advice and pushed through and I'm now 5 days into the 1.2 dose and feeling fine! No appetite at all and my day doesn't revolve around food. I could cry with how amazing this drug has been for me! I haven't lost much weight this week but I'll persevere. Thank you

notapizzaeater · 17/05/2021 16:19

Quick check in, I'm 4 weeks post surgery but still recovering. I'm hardly doing anything (averaging 2000 steps a day) BUT I've not put Amy weight on, in fact I'm 2 lbs down. Have the saxenda in the fridge ready to restart when I can 😀

andadietcoke · 19/05/2021 11:08

I'm on week 13 now. Still losing 2lbs a week which is slow, but it's effortless. Interestingly I've had two weeks off exercise and my weight loss hasn't been affected. Addicted to Soleros and the 100 calorie Snickers bars.

HowlingGale · 19/05/2021 11:23

I think it's pretty well established that exercise is an extremely inefficient way to lose weight so not really surprising your weight loss has been unaffected by inactivity pizza and dietcoke
Of course it's good for your health but rubbish for weight loss! It's really all about what you do or don't eat that really impacts on your weight

Oneearringlost · 19/05/2021 16:42

Yes! HowlingGale, you are so right about exercise!.
I'm so pleased at everyone's successes.
I'm down another two pounds.
Strength Sisters, think of those clothes well be able to get into for summer!

HmmmHashtag · 20/05/2021 09:47

Hello! Can I join please? I've ordered 3 pens from Burwash Pharmacy online and they've been dispatched...
@shutterteal I think I'm your twin... Same starting weight, same height, same starting size! :waves:

I have PCOS and really struggle to lose weight so hoping this will be the golden ticket for me.

Bit worried about side effects, especially the more serious ones!

FinaleyDee · 20/05/2021 13:39

Hi! I’ve loved reading through all these posts and seeing everyone’s journey!
I’m starting tonight, I have 2 stone to lose. Really looking forward to not constantly thinking about food and eating everything in sight. I’m trying to calorie count (but I love a meal out, takeaways and my son’s leftovers 😂) and have just started with a personal trainer which I hope will help too.

CandyLeBonBon · 20/05/2021 13:46

I've been lurking on here and bought a pen as a result. I really hate it. I ended up suffering eith really bad gastritis as a result. I felt so ill on Tuesday I've had to stop it. I'm so disappointed ☹️

HowlingGale · 20/05/2021 14:47

Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone had considered using Ozempic instead of Saxenda? it's a weekly injection which would be preferable to daily, but not sure about its efficacy/side effects compared to Saxenda. Has anyone any experience of this, or done any research into it? I know that Saxenda has been licensed as a weight loss drug while Ozempic has not, (It's currently only licensed for managing Diabetes) but there are some online pharmacies/clinics which are offering it off licence as a weight loss aid such as this company: my-bmi.co.uk/treatment-plan.
Anyone know any more about it? Thanks!
