@lucy2204

Morning everyone! 🤗 Hope you all have a good day!,

for anyone that likes scrambled eggs try chucking some spinach and sun dried tomatoes in with it or chopped tinned tomatoes, it's one of my favourite 'diet foods' and is very filling!, xx

Or chopped chillies, spring onions and bell peppers for a spicier start. Breakfast (or lunch) of champions.
lucy2204 · 14/01/2021 16:46

@halfshrunkmoretogo omg I wna try that!! 🤤Defo gna have for lunch tomorrow xx

Not the best day today. Started well with porridge and blueberries for breakfast.

But then cheese on toast for lunch, and 6 digestive biscuits over the afternoon.

DP got lamb ribs out of the freezer for dinner.

Today is a diet write off. No chocolate for 3 days now, which is the only positive.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 14/01/2021 17:45

Well I'm well below calories but not because I've eaten well.

Breakfast - skinny Emmi latte drink
Lunch - slim fast chocolate hazelnut wafer
Snack - pepperami
Dinner - slice of pizza from Asda cafe

So I think I need to sit down and eat a bowl of vegetables as a snack this evening 😂

Peony2021 · 15/01/2021 08:56

Happy Friday all 🙌🏻

I had the biggest serving of beef casserole and mash potato last night I had to be rolled to bed but it was absolutely glorious and therefore worth it 😂

Just weighed this morning - 3lbs lost. I'm happy considering I didn't starve myself or overdo it on the exercise 🤭 I suspect this will be the biggest loss for me as I'll probably aim for 1-2lbs a week here on out but nice to get a wee kick start! Still a long way to go to even get back to pre December weight 🥴

Good luck on the scales to all those weighing in!!

Ps the scrambled eggs sound wonderful I will definitely be trying them!

lucy2204 · 15/01/2021 11:03

Hello everyone hope you all have a great day!, il be weighing tonight, as I have a house hold of sick children so super busy today xx

@lucy2204 Flowers to you and your family, hope everyone gets well soon
And thank you for reminding me about sun dried tomatoes, I love them so should get some more

Beige freezer tea planned for tonight which for me means veggie burger with a tiny bit of melted smoked ‘chease’, homemade wedges and a big salad.

Hope everyone is getting on well and looking forward to the weekend !

steph2412 · 15/01/2021 18:28

Hi please can I join you all? I started on Jan 1st and so far have lost 12lbs starting weight was 16st 1lb and I would like to get down to 12st 10lbs, so 3 stone 5lbs to lose! I'm low carbing and doing 16:8, did it before and lose 4 stone but then lockdown number 1 happened and I went back to my old ways! Weight loss will slow now I always loose big for the 1st month so hoping this thread scan keep me motivated X

Glitterb · 15/01/2021 19:13

@steph2412 wow well done! Brilliant weight loss! How many calories are you eating a day?

buckeejit · 15/01/2021 21:39

@steph2412 hello & well done, that's amazing! Hope I have your stamina. I find it too overwhelming to look at the big picture but I know I looked & felt slightly better with a stone & a half off.

My current plan is not to fixate on scales for a while & try to implement good habits so I can at least feel proud of myself for trying as best I can. I know there will be slip ups but should be easier if I'm at home. I do have a ribeye steak for tea tomorrow though

queenofthelamas · 16/01/2021 20:42

Sorry all been AWOL this week!

Just downloaded the nhs weight loss app which actually seems quite good! Has anyone used it before?

steph2412 · 17/01/2021 06:23

Not actually counting calories I just have 2 meals a day. Gone a bit wobbly this weekend! Working today then girly back on track tomorrow I'm aiming for a stone off by end of Jan then 7lbs each month which would make me feel a lot more comfortable for the summer! Hope your all doing ok x

buckeejit · 17/01/2021 10:37

I will try that nhs weight loss app now. 7lb a month sounds achievable. I am having to adjust my expectations from years ago where I could have lost that in a week!

Also had a wobbly day yesterday - too many maize snack crisps & a couple of extra chocolate biscuits but on the upside did my 10k steps and managed to refrain from the booze. It is making it obvious how big an impact alcohol has on my diet. There's always a big bag of Tyrells or some cheese & crackers when the wine is cracked open. The bottle is finished then the next morning the hangover needs fed.

Made another enormous vat of soup yesterday too so that will be portioned up & frozen. May try having my larger meal at lunchtime a couple of days this week. If nothing else it will give me extra time at teatime if I'm just heating up soup.

Hope everyone else is getting through the weekend relatively unscathed. I have to admit, I find weekends are harder to enjoy when dieting. Will try to do something today as a treat. Might go wild & paint my nails!

NoJetter · 17/01/2021 14:09

Hi everyone I haven’t posted for a while.
I’ve been doing really well which is quite unusual for me. I’ve been logging calories on my Fitbit, trying to stick to under 1200 calories. Fitbit keeps telling me I’ve eaten too many calories as I’m not walking enough (still recovering from spinal surgery) but I’m not going to go under 1200 Cals or I will end up with no energy and feel crap or just feel starving and end up snacking on crap, feeling like I’ve ruined my diet and carrying on eating crap.

Anyway it is working for me as I’m feeling really good, never particularly hungry and I’ve gone from 13st8 on 1st Jan to 13st1.4 today. I’ve got a lot more to lose (want to get to 10 stone) but I’m determined I’m getting the weight off this time!

lucy2204 · 17/01/2021 14:51

Hello everyone, sorry I've been so quiet I ended up catching the sickness bug my kids had 🙄☹️all better now and 2lbs down hope everyones having a good weekend xx welcome to everyone new if I haven't already greeted you and congrats on everyone for losin weight and for sticking to it xx

BeastOfBODMAS · 18/01/2021 10:29

Good morning everyone and well done on the losses so far. I am down 3lb on last week, hoping to be under 16 stone by the end of this month.
I will be working on drinking plenty of water and trying to find enthusiasm for a lunch salad when it’s so cold and grey 😬 There are no good reasons to leave my dressing gown today !

buckeejit · 18/01/2021 12:29

@BeastOfBODMAS well done, that's amazing!

I'm struggling as suddenly want to eat everything. Just had 2 cocktail sausages & want 100!

I'm having a sandwich with nimble (wafer thin) bread for lunch & will drag all the children out for a little walk after

I've realised that I much prefer snacking to actual meals which should help me reduce meal portion sizes maybe?!

It's gone a bit quiet on here, hope everyone is coping or ready to get back on the wagon if they've fallen off!

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 18/01/2021 12:44

Well done @BeastOfBODMAS! I have hot salad. So greenbeans, asparagus, mushrooms, babycorn. Chuck it all in a jug with a drizzle of water, cover and microwave for 3 minutes.

Drain, add a tsp of butter or olive oil, seasoning and some sliced meat like chicken breast/wafer thin ham then mix it all up. Sometimes another 30 seconds in the microwave if it needs a bit more warmth.

Comes in well under 200 calories and gives the hot lunch feeling while being healthy and low calorie.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 18/01/2021 13:12

Finally snuck onto the next stone bracket, just barely. Got up early to do a step class that didn’t add nearly as many steps to my day as I was counting on!

BeastOfBODMAS · 18/01/2021 13:55

@HalfShrunkMoreToGo that sounds lovely, I will have to give it a go. I keep trying to buy different veg then get the Hmm face when I offer it for dinner , sounds like a nice way to have variety.

@GingerAndTheBiscuits well done for your step class, and for your sneaking downwards Grin

@buckeejit snacky days can be so tricky! I agree that if you’re having the snacks anyway maybe embrace it!. I think 3 meals a day was invented with the industrial revolution so there’s no biological reason for it if something else works better for you

Delilah221 · 18/01/2021 15:00

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been a bit all over the place last week, and then fell off the wagon bad this weekend so need to give myself a good talking too!! haha.

Well done everyone on your losses! I was down 6lb in 2 weeks, but i fear i may have put that back on and then some! :( But am writing it off and starting a fresh with a lovely (Hopefully) homemade beef stew tonight!

Will be back on here more now work has calmed down! Deffo need all you lovely ladies for support and motivation!!

Hope you're all ok!

buckeejit · 18/01/2021 15:40

@Delilah221 I think we'll all fall off the wagon. I tend to do it very dramatically & frequently with a 'let of of jail' mentality & try to eat & drink everything in sight until Monday morning blues guilt me!

It's all ok if you get back on it. I didn't for 5 months & don't want to do that again! I need to do a bit of meal planning for the week ahead to help me stay somewhat on track. Think I'd find it easier if there wasn't children to cook for. Hate thinking what to make-one of them
Is fussy & only likes beige freezer junk

Delilah221 · 18/01/2021 15:49

@buckeejit - Agreed, it's bound to happen at some point. I have fallen off the wagon many times before too! But just need to make sure i get back on as i really need to loose weight to get healthier for a future BFP!

That's why i am so annoyed with myself, i went shopping Friday and got everything for dinners this week and healthy breakfast stuff and it all went to shit at the weekend so my weekly plan is already altered lol. I have a whiteboard for meal plans which really helps me, otherwise it's always winging it and end up with takeaway. Is there a way you could make things so you can hide veg in it? I know that sounds silly but hopefully you know what i mean haha.

Peony2021 · 20/01/2021 09:02

Hey @Delilah221 don't worry about falling off the wagon, I also did at the weekend and it crept into Monday!!! Now working on losing the weekend weight as well as everything else 🤦🏻‍♀️ we should go easy on ourselves - it's January and it's lockdown!! Good luck to all this week 🙌🏻

Delilah221 · 20/01/2021 09:47

@Peony2021 I did too! Trying to be more chill about it and just take each day as it comes.

I’m just really lacking motivation in this lockdown! And all I want to eat it chocolate, I don’t know why I’ve suddenly become obsessed with it lol.

Hope you’re all doing ok!
