I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

Weight check today 17st 2lbs, that's 1.8lbs down from last week and 2.8lbs down from my start on the 30th December.
Yesterday was the first day this year that I didn't manage 10k steps Sad. No particular reason, I just didn't get around to it. I need to make time to go out during the day I think.

Bunnybigears · 13/01/2021 12:06

Do periods affect your weight loss?, i was doing well last week and lost 3lb, this week I am eating the same ish and just feel bloated and hungry.

Eesha · 13/01/2021 12:20

@Bunnybigears i find i eat tons and bloat pre period but then it comes off afterwards.

LostaraYil · 13/01/2021 12:30

For anyone thinking about low carb, I can thoroughly recommend the low carb bootcamp threads. It does work, and there are lots of great meal ideas and support.

clpsmum · 13/01/2021 19:24

Week two weigh in -2lbs 🙌🏻 8lbs in total

How is everyone else doing?

@YeahBabyYeahYeah
Thank you for the advice re carbs! I am such a carb person but have been looking at your suggestions of alternatives. It's just so bloody hard. I am getting weighed again tomorrow (I get weighed twice weekly) and just hoping for a loss, even 1lb

Lorsirl · 14/01/2021 03:07

Can I join the party ? This lockdown has been all about daytime tv, homeschooling tantrums, adult kids back home for online college and trips to the fridge here :( 5 stone to loose dammit and would love the motivation.

UnRavellingFast · 14/01/2021 03:16

Can I join you? I’m in despair! I was doing ok before xmas (very slowly losing) but have gained 6-7 kilos since then and don’t know what happened. Obviously uncontrolled choc and booze so I do know really.

bluebluezoo · 14/01/2021 11:32

Midweek weigh in and another 2lbs down. So I’m now about the same as before christmas.

In some ways it’s depressing as I don’t seem to be getting anywhere, but i’m 6lbs down from the top weight I hit recently so it is working..

YeahBabyYeahYeah · 14/01/2021 13:23

@booboomoo fingers crossed for the weigh in!

I saw a post from someone else on here ages ago that really resonated with me on eating lower carb, and it said something like “look at what you can eat, not what you can’t.”

So if you think of the stuff you can’t have, you’ll never give it up, whereas if you spend some time looking for delicious lower carb recipes, you can start making the swaps without even noticing. For example, if you’re fancying crisps, get a packet of poppadums and a bit of nice cheesy or garlicky dip (or houmous but that’s quite carby too, so just a bit!). 2 poppadums is about 8g of carbs, and you’ll feel just as if you’d had a big bag of crisps!

booboomoo · 14/01/2021 13:29

@YeahBabyYeahYeah thank you! I have been making some changes and it hasn't been quite as bad as I thought it would be. I still have had a few carbs but it's been much much less and feeling better for it.

I lost 2lb this morning which has also motivated me. 6lb so far in 8 days, although I know that this will slow down soon. Although, I am feeling better as I was nearly 13 and a half stone and now nearer 13. Just have to keep going 😬

Hope it's all going well for you too!

EsmeeMerlin · 14/01/2021 13:42

Weighed in on Monday and lost 2lbs. Have had to stop now though as dh has tested positive for COVID and I am displaying symptoms awaiting confirmation. Feeling rough and can only walk around the house for 10 minutes or so before needing to rest. Trying to still watch what I eat but exercise will be off the cards until recovered.

YeahBabyYeahYeah · 14/01/2021 14:35

@booboomoo that’s brilliant, well done you!!

@EsmeeMerlin oh no, you definitely need to rest and drink lots of fluid, hope you feel better soon

Avocadorable · 15/01/2021 10:31

Week 1 weigh in 6 pound down it’s a kick start ! Doing intermittent low carb, got a long way to go yet though starting weight 16st10 as heavy as I was 10 days after birth of my youngest nearly 9 years ago dear god, now 16st4. Helps DH is on the trip with me makes me accountable and puts a bit of competition in the mix.

Bunnybigears · 16/01/2021 09:58

Only 1lb down this week but it's my time of the month so I'm still going to take that as a win.

wetasstenalady · 16/01/2021 10:31

Can I join?
I've started doing WW online

Avocadorable · 16/01/2021 12:05

Well done that’s a great win at that time of the month

YeahBabyYeahYeah · 18/01/2021 10:39

9lb start this week, woohoo! Now just need not to lose focus when it slows down... 💪

bluebluezoo · 18/01/2021 13:12

9lb wow! Well done!

I’ve stalled now. Half a stone off since jan 1 but no loss this week. This is the bit that gets tough!

YeahBabyYeahYeah · 18/01/2021 15:24

thank you! absolutely, the plateau weeks are tough, hang in there and hopefully next week you’ll be rewarded Smile

Fingerbobs · 19/01/2021 08:32

67.2 this morning, 1.5kg down since 2 Jan. Weighing every day at the same time I can really see the fluctuations. I am enjoying 16:8, and even had a creme egg (maybe two) yesterday. I’m an impatient person so I want it all gone NOW (whilst still eating creme eggs, obviously) but this is helping me to stick with it.

ConorMasonsWife · 20/01/2021 20:41

12st 12. Not as much weight but it does work out at a steady pace and I've not been feeling too good the last week, so 3lb in 10 days is okay with me. It's starting to get harder though. I have quite bad depression lately, I'm trying to homeschool, work, look after the house, watch what I eat and make sure I don't end up too bad mentally because I can get really bad and then neglect myself completely, or go the other way and become very hyperactive/manic, so I'm treading a fine line. Well done on everyone's weight loss!

tea69 · 21/01/2021 22:49

I fell off this thread but I'm another 2lbs down. So I'm 4lbs down since the 4th.

bluebluezoo · 23/01/2021 10:14

I had a bad week this week so was surprised at the scales this morning, lightest weight this month.

So I tried my spare set- which has me 8lbs heavier and back to my starting weight on jan 1!

Don’t know which to believe.

So I’ve either put on half a stone in less than a week, or lost 1lb....

One week of jan left and I wanted to be 10lbs lighter on feb 1st. So hoping to have a low calorie week and get rid of the last couple of pounds. Or 10, depending on the scale Confused

Bunnybigears · 23/01/2021 10:22

So I've stuck to plan all week and stayed the same! This is usually when I give up.
