I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

I’m not cal counting or logging on MFP yet though. I find it leads to obsessive thinking (in me).

Tormundsbeard · 04/01/2021 10:44

14st 9lbs this morning. A 5lb loss, but some of that may be due to a bout of diarrhoea I had last night. I was feeling unwell during the week and lost my appetite a bit which definitely helped. Tracking everything on MFP is helping, as is the tactic of going to bed early to avoid wandering into the kitchen and finding something to eat, or a bottle of beer...

Dottydoodoo · 04/01/2021 10:54

Well done everyone 😊 we can do this!
I was an absolute pig yesterday, I was tired and cold and just wanted to eat everything in my path, so I did. Grrrrrr - can’t even get past one day! I am back on it today though and am feeling very determined. I have had rice crispies and an orange and am just not going to go near the kitchen until lunchtime!

yesifibbed · 04/01/2021 10:58

Day 1 for me....starting with no booze, snacks and carbs. 2 stone to lose for me

ConorMasonsWife · 04/01/2021 11:44

New day, I've had veggie sausages and scrambled eggs for breakfast, a protein shake with almond milk for lunch, plenty of water, I've done 20 minutes jogging and then it's something simple like veggie fingers and sweet potato fries tonight, it's a busy day today so simple is best for me!

stclair · 04/01/2021 11:49

Another one joining please! I’m 82.5kg at 5’10” which is also the heaviest I’ve ever been. I joined SW in November and only got to go once before lockdown and completely lost my mindset. In the Telegraph yesterday there was an article about a woman called Sam Rice who I thought had interesting ideas so I’ve ordered her book which should be here tomorrow. On the plus side so far today, I’ve not eaten yet and have done a few squats etc Smile

WutheringShites86 · 04/01/2021 17:43

1 week done and 2lbs down, woo hoo!

Bobbiepin · 04/01/2021 18:00

Over the week I've ranged from 1lb to 3.5lbs lost, I know a lot of that is water weight so not reading too much into it. This is going to be long term for me so 1lb a week is fine - keep it going for a year and that's 52lb!

I went back to work today and managed my workout first thing. About to hop on the bike to do my daily 20km.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 04/01/2021 18:28

So, having a pretty good day food wise.

B - Alpen & coconut water
L - Thick sliced of baked ham (leftovers of the big ham I did to go with Sunday lunch yesterday) with 2 hard boiled eggs
S - pear & mini easy peeler clementine
D - homemade (by DH) sweet potato, chilli & butternut soup (really thick!) + 1 slice granary bread

Exercise - 2 dog walks. No formal workout. I’m going to roll that in next week/week after, once my food changes have settled. I don’t like to change too many things at once.

Well done to those already seeing losses Star

IHateCoronavirus · 04/01/2021 18:32

Well done everyone. Reading everyone’s yummy dishes is making me hungry Wink

cushioncovers · 04/01/2021 18:37

Can I join please I've excelled myself and ended up at 18 stones I'm only 5'2" Sad first day of cutting down today. Got a grocery shop on its way so will have a fridge full of the right stuff.

stovetopespresso · 04/01/2021 18:54

first 2 day of 5:2, think I might be over on the cals, also weighed myself this morning, yesterday was a bit joyful & greedy! i seem to have gained half a kilo! fingers crossed for tomorrow's weigh in

HenslowesDiary · 04/01/2021 19:22

Well done everyone for keeping up momentum.

Today has been a tricky day. I am having anxiety over the news which always leaves me a bit stymied. I also had a carby breakfast which meant I kept picking at food throughout the afternoon. Had a very small portion for dinner and set the fasting clock at 7pm. Am going to wrap up and go for a long walk now to clear my head. The news will still be there tomorrow.

tea69 · 04/01/2021 23:26

An okayish day here...

fastwigglylines · 04/01/2021 23:29

I skipped breakfast and lunch and just had dinner. I had a small snack mid afternoon. I'm sure that's really bad form but it's a start.

No exercise.

fastwigglylines · 04/01/2021 23:30

Will try harder tomorrow! Some exercise and small, healthy meals instead of skipping them.

clpsmum · 05/01/2021 07:56

Week one and 6lbs down Smile craving bread but weight loss has spurred me on to keep going!

Well, I've finally started, Day 1 today. I can't believe I'm 16st 3 after the Christmas break.
Have decided to cut right down on alcohol even though there is lots of gin left in the cupboard,
Will use MFP to count calories. I have set it to lose 1lb a week, so that limits me to about 1500 calories.
My initial goal will be to get down to 15 st 7 lbs

tea69 · 05/01/2021 09:04

That's a great start @clpsmum!

I started the day with eggs. Roast dinner later with lots of veg and no spuds or Yorkshires!!

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 05/01/2021 09:34

So, I’ve had my breakfast (alpen & coconut milk) and a glass of water and I’m still hungry. Doesn’t bode well for the day ahead, does it?! Hmm

cushioncovers · 05/01/2021 10:47

Clpsmum thanks and well done on the 6lbs loss that's brilliant

2020in2020 · 05/01/2021 12:23

I have started today! Weighing in at 11st 9.6lbs. In November I managed to get down to 11st so that is really bad Blush

I haven’t eaten anything yet today apart from a coffee and a tea with oat milk. I woke up early meaning to go for a run but saw it was snowing and chickened out!

Having to rethink my fitness plans as when the DD’s were at school I had an hour between work ending and school run so I would go for a run then. Now I will have to go early or when DH is home; meaning running in the dark which I’ve not done before. We do have an exercise bike so will get on that if I can’t get out!

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 05/01/2021 16:46

Day 2 and I scoffed Blush&Angry

Bunnybigears · 05/01/2021 17:02

What am I doing wrong? I had scrambled eggs and 1 piece of toast for breakfast, a pasta mug shot for lunch and as I was leaving work at 4 I felt so faint, I couldn't see properly and I had to go into the shop and stuff a packet of crisps and a kit kat down my throat and sit down for 10 minutes before I felt even slightly normal!!!
