I'm the fattest I have ever been and need to take drastic action for the sake of my health and sanity. I am 15st8 🤦‍♀️ was a stone lighter at nine months pregnant!!

Going to weigh in every Monday and hoping some of you lovely ladies will join me so we can keep each other motivated.

Finally got round to weighing myself - 18st 7lb. Shock

Bobbiepin · 06/01/2021 21:38

@Bambi1222

Was wondering if you lovely ladies could help me answer this. I've lost four stone this year and feel uglier and fatter. I know how can I feel I look fatter but I honestly do. I bought new clothes today a size 16 as I like baggy clothes and they aren't even baggy although they aren't tight either. Since they came I just think I look so fat. I honestly wore a size 16 at four stone heavier. I don't get it. My coat is a 14 I can do that up now as couldn't before so I guess that shows me I'm thinner. But these clothes were same shop as other size 16 clothes at four stone heavier. I'm honestly quite upset so just wondered what people think. Thanks.
It could be lots of things, your old clothes were stretched a but, vanity and mixed sizing in shops, some body dysmorphia after so long of being uncomfortable with your body.

Four stone is an incredible achievement, and you should be proud of that. Maybe spending some time working on your self esteem would be beneficial to you.

Weighed this morning at 13stone 1. Which is

ConorMasonsWife · 07/01/2021 10:58

Daft phone, which is 3lbs lost. Though according to my scales when I weighed on 29th December is 11.8lb lost, which I hope I can carry on doing that good

GettingThin2021 · 07/01/2021 12:33

I forgot to weigh before I ate this morning which was my plan so will do that tomorrow.

Am tentatively starting a mix of slimming world based meals (because they make me include lots of veg) but following 16:8 rules. Means I drank lots of water this morning then had beans on granary bread toast for brunch at 11.
Have also set an alarm on my phone for 10am and 3pm to make me move / stretch / do something for 10 mins or I get stuck into work and stay at my desk for hours.
I already do a 30 mins-ish walk on my lunch because I take the dog out. I don't have time then to do more but I'm planning on pushing myself to walk faster and further within the same time. Just going to do that now - it looks so cold outside though 🥶

Bunnybigears · 07/01/2021 12:54

Proud of myself as I made chicken tikka egg muffins last night and ate them at work today for lunch. Also built the exercise bike last night so going to get on it tonight. Does anyone know of a couch to 5k type thing for cycling as I am so unfortunately I really need to start slow and most spinning videos on YouTube start at 20 minutes long, I would die!

danni0509 · 07/01/2021 20:34

I’ve been into the kitchen twice in the last hour and sprayed squirty cream into my mouth 😂 😂

I will not give in and eat any food.

So hungry tonight x

Bambi1222 · 07/01/2021 22:25

"I've known you thinner" was said to me today when it came up about my diet and I said I'd lost 4 stone 5 lbs. I did not bring it up fyi. Aibu to be hurt?

Eesha · 07/01/2021 22:40

Can I join? I was feeling good pre lockdown at around 84kg, having lost almost a stone but had at least half a stone to go. Now kids are being home schooled and I need to sit with them all day so no lovely long walks plus food/yum meal planning has become an obsession whereas before it was in control. My weight is creeping up!

Bunnybigears · 08/01/2021 10:12

Another 1km done on the exercise bike this morning. I think I am going to have to invest in a bike seat suitable for the large of arse!

Aspiringmatriarch · 08/01/2021 10:45

Yanbu Bambi, that does sound hurtful. You deserve huge congratulations on your weight loss - a very difficult achievement as we all know on here!

My mindful/intuitive eating has been a bit mixed as I'm finding myself going back to my usual binge habits- but I'm not going to give up yet, I'm seeing some changes in mindset and behaviour. I've also been more active than usual and generally looking after myself a bit better. A long road ahead due to chronic neglect of my weight, health and fitness but just trying to take it one small step at a time.

Hope everyone is staying cosy in this weather. ☃️

LostaraYil · 08/01/2021 18:47

I'm finally managing to (slowly) reduce carbs and am starting to feel better for it. I usually get on ok on low carb for a week or two though and then get mad cravings. Need to try to figure out what I'm doing wrong before I get to that point!

Bambi1222 · 08/01/2021 21:21

@aspiringmatriarch thank you. I've decided to focus on cutting the toxic out of my life this year. I am so use to being treated like shit I allow it from people. I'm not defined by what people think of me and I intend to get better at thinking this. I hope all you ladies have a wonderful year and get to whatever weight you want to be. Im going to leave the thread as I think I need to focus less on weight ATM and just eat healthy.

GettingThin2021 · 08/01/2021 21:40

So today I've stuck to the 16:8 window but I'm so hungry now - I think it's because I've had no snacks.
I had beans on toast as a brunch followed by an apple then had tea just before the close of my window. I've drunk lots of squash and am now drinking water but it isn't helping.
Might buy chewing gum tomorrow to help....

Good luck Bambi Smile

tea69 · 09/01/2021 00:44

I'm down into the next stone bracket 🎉

tea69 · 09/01/2021 00:47

Good luck @Bambi1222! 4 stone is incredible and you should be very proud of yourself!

jamesfailedmarshmallows · 09/01/2021 08:46

I started at 95.75kg in November, currently 90kg, can't wait to get down into the 80s. For me it's coming off slowly as I need some chocolate everyday and sometimes a bag of crisps but other than that I've cut out nearly all starchy carbs and I'm feeling much better for it.

2020in2020 · 09/01/2021 09:23

Well done to all who have lost!

I had a weigh in this morning as was feeling positive about the few days I’ve had and also proud of myself for sticking to dry January last night when I REALLY wanted to disappear into a bottle of wine. Lost 1lb so pleased with that. Will weigh again on Monday and I think that will give me the determination not to fall off the wagon this weekend.

muddledmidget · 09/01/2021 10:16

I weighed in this morning, 1.5lb lost which I'm fairly happy with, as I did fall off the rails towards the end of the week

Smiledwiththerisingsun · 09/01/2021 10:18

Hi everyone
How are you all doing?
I seem to have list 3lb this week from stopping drinking. It's a start !
Grin

katand2kits · 09/01/2021 10:47

I'm also still on the dry January wagon. Diet is going ok. I'm not being too restrictive as my main goal this month is not drinking and doing a daily walk. But I have cut out a lot of mindless snacking. 102.1kg yesterday compared to 105kg on the 14th December.

cushioncovers · 09/01/2021 14:59

Weighed this morning lost 2lbs so I'm happy with that as only started diet on Monday.

ConorMasonsWife · 10/01/2021 11:43

No loss, only been a few days though, I'm doing okay, getting into it a bit more food wise now so I feel like I could maybe up my exercise a little. My aim is to hopefully get into 12 stone something next. I always know weight loss is slow, it spurs me on to see a tiny bit of change though, even if it's only half a pound it stops me from quitting.

Bunnybigears · 10/01/2021 11:48

3lb loss so far, my thighs are killing me from the tiny bit of spin cycling ive done. At work I have moved my printer from next to me to the other side of the room so everytime I print something I have to get up, its not going to add many steps but its keeping me moving.

smartiecake · 10/01/2021 12:02

2lb loss for me. I have been really good all week but caved yesterday and ate biscuits/choc. Have just chopped up a melon for snacking on for the next few days.
