I'd like to try. Have no willpower at all at the moment and it depresses me. 5'6 and 10stone 2. Just have no energy coz of picking all the time at bad foods.

katybump · 30/09/2007 16:23

hi elliemac ,yep i want smaller jeans too.
i've gotten lazy so need a kick to get going,6 weeks sounds enough to lose a stone if we work at it though

yes i eat at the wrong times instead of eating when i make food for kids! then i just snack thro the day.... plus i never eat breakfast

katybump · 30/09/2007 16:24

i pick all the time threadworm ,out of boredom mainly so figured i'd get off my backside and sort it out before i need a bigger sofa!

Yes me too.. I'd like to lose a stone (at least!) before the Christmas Meet up!

I am five foot 8 and just under 12 stone which is the most I have ever weighted in non pregnant state!

I feel fat and disgusting. Even though I joined the gym at end of July and have been exercising 4 x a week since then. I have actually put on about 4 pounds!!!! I obviously need to diet as well as exercise.. which I did intend doing.. but never seem to start! Please help me have the willpower!

katybump · 30/09/2007 16:25

i don't have time for breakfast and then eat crap as i'm starving, tomorrow i'm going to make time even if it's just a banana

buckets of willpower on here shiny .i have to lose weight ,my clothes don't fit and i gave my bigger ones away so i couldn't put anymore weight on

I skip breakfast too, and then graze.

pre-children, I would just not buy stuff that would tempt me to eat badly, But with kids that's not poss. Plus, when you are tired and demralised it's so hard to treat yourself kindly -- i.e. eat how you should

elliemac · 30/09/2007 16:31

I've got a huge caramel in my fridge - Should i chuck it or have one last pig out?

katybump · 30/09/2007 16:34

chocolate biscuits are my thing ,i pick one up everytime i go in the kitchen and eat it without even tasting it.i never savour food ,just cram it in and then feel guilty.i've decided that from now on i'm going to look after me,lot's of fruit and veg and plenty of water (after my kebab that i'm having later as a last supper)

OP posts:
katybump · 30/09/2007 16:35

Yep - I think i will. It would be a shame to waste it! Off to eat my DH's lovely roast dinner now. Thats quite healthy tho! Good luck ladies - will check in later.

mylittlefreya · 30/09/2007 16:39

I'm with you. I've been gaining and losing the same 6lb for months. Can't keep at it long enough. 5'5" and 11st. Never been so uncomfortable about myself.

katybump · 30/09/2007 16:42

looks like theirs a few off us in the same boat.we will look great in 6 weeks
i'm really looking forward and feeling very positive ,you will keep that 6 pounds off this time mylittlefreya and hopefully a few more

Katy me too. I am wearing the only big pair of jeans I still have that I swore I'd never need again.. but kept just in case. This time last year I was a stone and a half lighter than I am now I am disgusted at myself really.

katybump · 30/09/2007 17:23

shiny don't be disgusted,we can start tomorrow and shift it together, sounds a bit cheesy but i can't do it on my own i cheat too much

I'm too easily tempted. Dh has the morning off tomorrow (worked crazy hours this weekend) so when the baby goes down for her nap I am going for a run!!! He won't need to get up and it'll be a great start.

Elliemac, I hope you are enjoying your Caramel. I have one of those individual chocolate sponges in the fridge, I'm about to eat it now. Then, that's it. Got to get back into my old clothes, I'd feel so much better I'm sure.

Shiny, you are only a little bit overweight - but I know how uncomfortable it feels. We can do this!

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 30/09/2007 19:43

Can I sign my DH up too? He wants to lose a stone in six weeks as well. He is five foot six and fourteen stone.

I feel supported already

Thanks for starting the thread Katy. Going to have a little blow out tonight.. a beer and some chocolate and will start tomorrow.. is this ok?!

katybump · 30/09/2007 19:48

fine with me shiny i've just had a chicken kebab and some terrys chocolate orange ,feel like i've had christmas and am sick of eating crap so starting a diet asap if that makes sense?good that your dh is joining us ,the more support the better x

Can I join? I need to lose more than that but think the same, need to start somewhere. I have no willpower either I reckon if I'm on here I'll be more motivated!

binkleandflip · 30/09/2007 19:51

I'm in too!

I've been going to a personal trainer three times a week for 7 weeks now and I'm starting to tone but I really want to lose weight at the same time!

Just one question - how do you propose we go about shifting the stone? Are we doing a group method or reporting in individual ones?

katybump · 30/09/2007 19:51

good luck with your run mylittlefreya,my norks took a bit of elongating during breastfeeding so aren't quite safe enough to consider anything but brisk walking pmsl
