Am I too late to join please?

because I must have joined about three of these threads in the past without success and I don't have any willpower at all

I'm 5ft,8andbit and am 70 kgs (I think that's about 11 stone and a bit) but v. small framed (apart from outsize norks - outsize not in a good way - sorry tmi) and have recently developed a 'roll' around the waist, clothes uncomfortably tight and feel unhealthy and sluggish

Trying to lose 10 kilos -

Have also joined Rosemary Conley which I think is really good compared to other on-line health/diet/fitness sites

Good luck everyone today!!

katybump · 01/10/2007 09:57

no not too late countingthegreyhairs
i keep joining threads and then losing motivation so figured if i started one i couldn't slack.

have a good day x

Hi
this is first time I have posted on this but count me in.Been trying to lose weight all year but can`t stick to it longer than a week.Over 10 stone heaviest ever been even both pregnancies was lighter.so depressed about it and no willpower even got a gym membership so will try and go more and only eat healthy. My problem is chocolate and cakes.

Could I join too, another one here thats been trying for a while with little success.

I'm just under 10 st,but at 4' 11 I should be about 8 st'ish.Been upping the walking I do,I walk almost 4 miles aday on the school run,but I'm also a picker and a severe carb-aholic.

I've got my dp's mums wedding coming up early next year and dp has promised me an trip to Paris to get an outfit,so I'm using that for motivation.

katybump · 01/10/2007 10:08

great motivation moonmother
sounds like everyone is really positive

Can I join too please?

I have finally admitted to myself that breastfeeding alone will not take off the excess baby weight.

I've joined Rosemary Conley too, but could do with a bit of extra motivation!

trixymalixy · 01/10/2007 10:19

have just had fruit salad and yoghurt for breakfast [smug emoticon].

katybump · 01/10/2007 10:22

halo for you trixymalixy
just off to asda to stock up on healthy stuff but well done for a great start

I'm not joining anything
I know how to do it (i just have to stick to it!)

My meisterplan:

Oats for breakfast and lots of fruit

Drink plenty of water

snack on baby tomatoes, sugar snaps, raspberries, blueberries etc and oatcakes if v hungry

Soup or salad for lunch + plenty of salad and fruit

Stir fry or nice meat/fish and steamed veg & low fat yoghurt for dinner

No snacking, no cheese or crisps (my two big fall-downs), only skimmed milk (which is the norm for me), no wine in the week when at home in the evening, if desperate can have vodka and slimline tonic. Also try and eat earlier (am v bad at eating at 9.30 or later). Most importantly NO snacking just before bed which is a bad habit of mine.

Also to be realistic am allowed a day a week off

CountessDracula · 01/10/2007 10:25

can I tell you all the best brekkie

Bircher muesli

yum

Countingthegreyhairs · 01/10/2007 10:36

Thanks Katybump - good strategy

InTheseShoes · 01/10/2007 10:46

I would like to join - I have the honour of being the heaviest on the thread (although I DO have a 17 week old baby who I am still breastfeeding!) - even pre-baby I would have been the heaviest I think! Anyway, there are about 10 pairs of jeans/trousers in the spare room wardrobe that are languishing safe in the knowledge that I can only wear them if I am prepared to sport a v-shaped wodge of porridgey belly in between the two sides of the zip, and I reckon a stone will get me to them again, although there is some way to go once the stone is off. I know that I am breastfeeding, but I should be eating more healthily and drinking more water so this is the place for me to start.

Had a fruit and fat free yoghurt smoothie for breakfast. Will have broccoli and cauli home made soup for lunch with wholemeal bread, with salmon, couscous and veg for tea. 2 litres of water here I come...

Hi there, I'd like to join in too. We're heading to Copenhagen at the beginning of November for dh's birthday and I'd like to be down a dress size by then. I'm 5' 4" and a size 12 is starting to feel tight. The word "diet" sends me running to the fridge/wine rack so I will be doing healthy eating/daily exercise regime plus no booze mid-week. I'm a gym-goer but lapsed over the summer so will try to get back there a few mornings a week.

Wholegrain toast and banana so far today plus water with lemon juice.
