I've got the Trinny and Susannah magic knickers but they can oly do so much.

MrsSeanSlater · 30/09/2007 20:41

I'm going to go swimming at least once a week, plus classes at my gym. Also cutting down the wine

MarkStretch · 30/09/2007 20:41

A friend of mine had a major panic a few weeks before she was due to be a bridesmaid and hired a personal trainer- cost her £300 and she didn't lose a thing!

katybump · 30/09/2007 20:41

except 300 quid!!!!

mine is £35 a session which sounds like a lot I know BUT compare it to paying a monthly gym subscription faithfully and then NEVER GOING (as is very common and what I used to do) then I think it's good value because he works me really hard and I can walk (stagger) out of the session feeling like I have actually done a real workout and achieved something - (it's binkle from further down the thread BTW)

inamuckingfuddle · 30/09/2007 20:42

I hate running! I am a gym member but at the rate I've been going recently it is costing me a fortune - must book a new prog session, that will get me going again

elliemac · 30/09/2007 20:44

Reckon i might just forget that one then. The amount of running around i do i should be a size 8 - Its not fair!!!!!

katybump · 30/09/2007 20:46

we all start tomorrpw so however we do it i hope i can count on you all to kick my backside if i start to slack.i can do this !

Yeah me too- I've lost count of the amount of times I've tried to do it! I HAVE to do it this time to look stunning in my wedding dress or I will HATE the photos!!

elliemac · 30/09/2007 20:49

course you can do it! Right i'm off to plan my menu for tomorrow - Good luck all!

spottyshoes · 30/09/2007 20:49

Hiya!!! I'm with you all waves madly
I have been losing and gaining the same half stone for 4 months! I'm a 14 and going on holiday in 6 weeks with a gorgeous slim size 8'er and will have to wear a swimming costume . God I feel faint just thinking about it - need some chocolate slaps hand no, no, no!!!
Need to lose about 2 stone but will settle for 1 at the mo! Currently walk every day (nearly), do a post-pg class once a week and splashy swim session with ds. Baking is my weakness! Any tips on how to stay motivated would be much appreciated!

MrsSeanSlater · 30/09/2007 20:51

How many of us will have fallen by the wayside by the end of day one?

MrsSeanSlater · 30/09/2007 20:52

Will have to rid the house of all the chocolate/sweets/cake/biscuits i've been stockpiling. Damn Sainsbury's and their special offers.

MarkStretch · 30/09/2007 20:53

Er well I may have to start from lunchtime tomorrow cos it was my turn to bake for the weekly team meeting at work at 9.30 am and I made muffins!

(My I point out though that they are quite healthy carrot and pineapple ones made with wholemeal flour instead of white!)

StarryStarryNight · 30/09/2007 20:53

I am with you guys. I am size 16. Desperate to get back to size 12. I am 187 lbs and 5ft9

(I am metric, so I dont know how many stones that is, just follwed Halls body mass index to find my weight and height in nonmetric)

MrsSeanSlater · 30/09/2007 20:56

187lb = 13.3 stone i think.

StarryStarryNight · 30/09/2007 20:58

thanks, thats a lot!

MrsSeanSlater · 30/09/2007 21:00

Not that much at 5ft 9 though.

kimi · 30/09/2007 21:01

Count me in.

life's a mess and my body is giving up on me so its about time I shifted some weight.

I'm 5 feet 7 and 13 stone.

StarryStarryNight · 30/09/2007 21:02

thanks that is reassuring, but I am overweight according to the bodymass index calculator.

MrsSeanSlater · 30/09/2007 21:07

I don't even know how much i weigh. Too scared to stand on the scales. About 11 stone I think but only 5ft 5. Need to get rid of pregnant-looking belly and big butt

katybump · 30/09/2007 21:07

tomorrows a new day so lets do this
a stone in 6 weeks .so by 12th november we should be a lot happier ,healthier and thinner .look how quick september went ,so november isn't that far away .it'll be worth it

OP posts:
pollywollydoodle · 30/09/2007 21:07

can i join in!

i have ms and over recent months i've been able to walk less, have stayed in more and eaten more (damn those chunky kit kats!)

anyway i'm 12.12 and want to go under 12 to start off with, mainly by cutting out the crap!

ps have tried various "firm control" pants but i do like to breathe and eat (in that case perhaps i should wear them all the time.....mmmm)

spottyshoes · 30/09/2007 21:08

I darent go anywhere near a bmi counter lol. Shall we shame ourselves and post what we've eaten every evening - bit like a weightwatchers on line record? If I know I have to admit the amount of crap I shovel in all the time I may be less likely to do it! That or become a good liar

katybump · 30/09/2007 21:08

the more the merrier polly x
