Anyone want to join to lose up to a stone?

I have 10-14lbs to lose to start feeling comfortable in myself again. I'm 5' 6.

9 stone is my fighting weight but I'm at least 10 stone now, and I know it's going to continue creeping up.

I look at threads already going on here but when lots of people are already on I feel like I get lost on it Grin

So I'm aiming to start Monday, not sure what plan I'll be following yet, but will have to eat less and exercise more as I've noticed my thighs are rubbing a little and got some fat on my back etc.

I definitely can't do 1500 calories either, I'm really short!

I haven't done too badly today but I've been starving all day and the snacks have crept in. Two mini peperami and two bites of the kids pizza. And too big a portion of dinner!

Egghead68 · 15/07/2020 08:06

69.8kg again (probably shouldn’t weigh daily but it has kept me on track in the past). Barely slept, which usually results in sugar bingeing the next day. Trying to survive on caffeine instead.

Have a good day everyone.

Egghead68 · 15/07/2020 08:08

How are you doing @BroodyBridget?

Mustardpot · 15/07/2020 10:04

Morning, haven’t lost an ounce in last two days despite eating very little, however I feel good, waist measurement is now 33.5 inches, goal is 30 inches, bit worried about visceral fat as I carry weight on my middle. Bought a new minimiser bra as a reward for 1 week no alcohol and just fit into the 36C.

Egghead68 if you are hungry try increasing your protein or have some good fats, I tend to have a heaped teaspoon of peanut butter or 8 almonds if I get hungry and it does the trick for me. If you like eggs they are a great snack or a fillet of smoked mackerel (high fat but very filling and cheap).

Egghead68 · 15/07/2020 11:24

Thanks @Mustardpot. Nuts and nut butter are a really good idea.

Swearwolf · 15/07/2020 13:27

Oh, I'm struggling today. I've already hit 1000 calories!!! May need to take the children out for a walk to make up for it. I haven't even eaten anything that was worth it you know? Breakfast was fine, snack was a banana, but I just had toast for lunch and ate half of the small one's leftover wrap, and I'm already there. I'm really annoyed with myself.

TheNewLook · 15/07/2020 13:36

swearwolf it’s adds up so quickly, doesn’t it? That for me is the most tedious thing about dieting - having to think about every morsel! Don’t write the day off though. Even if you don’t stay under your target, you can stop yourself going too far over.

Swearwolf · 15/07/2020 13:48

@TheNewLook that's very true! I shall try to stick with nothing until dinner time and then a very small portion. And no gin!

Egghead68 · 15/07/2020 13:51

I’m already on 1300. Sugar-free gum for the rest of the day for me!

OooErrThor · 15/07/2020 15:16

There's clearly something about today, I'm already on 1200 calories too and I'm now fantasying about toast with loads of butter on Hmm

I'm currently drinking water trying to convince myself it's thirst not hunger, which it probably is but I still want toast!

SecularPanic · 15/07/2020 17:18

Egghead, tell me about this cake.

TheBitchOfTheVicar · 15/07/2020 17:19

I have eaten toast for my tea already. Going to a friend's for a drink later. Prob won't be a good day calorie-wise! Tho off for a dog walk and run soon to balance things out a bit.

Swearwolf · 15/07/2020 17:31

Oh, I'm already having a gin. Damn. There is definitely something off today!

OooErrThor · 15/07/2020 17:33

I'm now on the wine Wine

Teenagers have also requested takeaway for tea, I'm just going for it and writing today off!

Egghead68 · 15/07/2020 18:38

@SecularPanic it’s all gone now (I may have eaten 4 slices today) but it was Tesco Black Forest Gateau. Could have done with being a bit chocolatier but surprisingly delicious for 165 cals a slice (and £2). I’ll buy it again.

SecularPanic · 15/07/2020 21:33

Love a BFG.

Egghead68 · 15/07/2020 21:38

Yes it was good.

Tomorrow’s plan (a bit healthier):
B: Fruit, yoghurt, honey 450
L: Roasted carrots, feta 500
D: Brie and chutney toasted sandwich and salad 500

Swearwolf · 16/07/2020 07:30

Morning everyone! After yesterday's wobble I am determined to try hard today. Hoping to make time for a short bike ride this evening!

TheBitchOfTheVicar · 16/07/2020 07:59

Morning!

@Swearwolf it is the same here! Drank too much - more than half a bottle but less than the whole bottle. In the context of my life that isn't much, but it is more than I have had since before Christmas. Inevitably ate ALL the snacks.

A light food day and a run tonight for me!

kirstinm · 16/07/2020 08:40

Omg yesterday really was the day for it! I had a bad day too, didn't really exercise (apart from a power walk to and from town) and food wasn't the best. My uni library reopened so I was in there for a bit and was ravenous when I came out at 5pm. Not many choices in town so bought an egg mayo sandwich then realised after eating it it was 500 calories! It wasn't even nice! So when we got home I was still hungry and ended up snacking on bread and a slice of cheese and also had half a bottle of beer. Ugh! I totally forgot that it's all about preparation for me when I am out - I've been at home for so long I kind of forgot what that's like.

Going back to the library today but we are going for a long walk this morning then I will try and be better prepared/make better choices! I am loving my apple watch and it is really making me mindful of my activity levels. Also love that you can challenge people - I'm really competitive so that motivates me a lot too.

Mustardpot · 16/07/2020 09:54

Morning, had lamb and veg yesterday, no snacks no alcohol but still haven’t lost an ounce. Stuck on 9 st 13 1/2 lbs.

B Coffee
L Boiled egg
D Salmon and veg or salad

Busy day packing here, off on UK holiday tomorrow. I plan not to drink and to keep on low carbing. Have a good day everyone.

kirstinm · 16/07/2020 10:16

Jesus I just did the first part of my walk (it’s more like a hike as it’s very uphill) and it was so much tougher today. I think it’s because of all that rubbish I ate yesterday - who knew that the stuff you put in affects you?!

Egghead68 · 16/07/2020 13:04

Hope everyone has a better day today!

I’ve eaten my 1400 cals so have to fast now for the rest of the day. Doing yoga and possibly the exercise bike later.

Egghead68 · 16/07/2020 19:38

Tomorrow’s plan
B: Peaches and cream 350
L: Aloo Gobi, nuts 500
D: Roast veg, bean mash 500
I dare say I’ll substitute out some of the healthy stuff for junk as I have the last few days...

Michelleoftheresistance · 16/07/2020 20:10

Cabbage! Cabbage is great!

Really revolting but high fibre and low cal linseed bread
Two chicken thighs roasted on top of a dish full of cabbage with lots of garlic:
pot of alpro yoghurt
coffee with alpro light milk

806 cals total (doing fast 800 so pretty much spot on)

Not starving hungry for the first time in days!
