So, once again I've started again, drawn lines in the sand, made plans, batched cooked etc (you all know the score!).

I will be slim this year!

Slightly scared of the scales so not willing to weigh until Monday but come and join us to get slender!

All diets and weighing frequencies welcome!

Kick sorry to hear you've had a rough week, it's so hard to lose when things are stressful and perfectly acceptable to medicate with Maltesers. Boot camp week sounds challenging under the circumstances Grin I'm sure you'll manage it with no distractions though, even allowing for a few baked ones...!

Well, I lost a magnificent 200g this week... At least it's something I guess! And I can see a difference even if the scales can't, which is the main thing Smile

AutumnNymph · 10/07/2020 16:09

I have lost an amazing 100gms today but considering I gained so much beginning of the week, its a net loss.

Similar to @QuimReaperI do feel slimmer and my belly feels flatter so I will wait this out. Avg weekly is STS as last week.

@KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse I can never diet when I am stressed. I do a weird combo of forgetting to eat during the day and then making up for it all with eating crap after hours. Good luck with boot camp week - I am happy to help you out by consuming any and all baked goodies your DD makes.

Ello @Elloello :)

Welcome to the group @LemonPeonies :) Congrats on your little one:)

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 10/07/2020 22:08

Oh god. So many crisps and Oreos.

I am really not a very good slenderista at the moment.

My current excuse is that the kids are at my parents for the weekend.....

I'm going out tomorrow night so I can start again (for the millionth time!) on Monday can't I??!!

Hi everyone can I please join? I was on this thread ages ago, have been trying to work out how long but can’t remember when I last posted must have been ago years though! I remember Quim but don’t recognise anyone else’s name.

I am back for motivation and inspiration as things have just got out of control and hoping posting again will keep me on track. I am the heaviest I have ever been, apart from when I was pregnant. I was on track until December last year when I got sick which saw me gain weight and then lockdown hit and I have eaten my way through shielding and have 22lbs to lose just to get back to what I was in December.

Tomorrow is the day.

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 12/07/2020 09:00

Hi squiffy welcome back. I don't recognise your name but I've only been around for 3 years and I have name changed since then.

I've had a similar lockdown and I got up to 12 2 which is my heaviest non pregnant weight.

I've managed to lose 4lb so far but it's slow going.

I'm off work this week so I was planning a really strict week but somehow I've managed to plan 3 trips out involving food and dd keeps baking! Brownies and olive bread yesterday.

I am planning a long walk today though.

AutumnNymph · 13/07/2020 11:13

Happy Monday fellow Slenderistas. I fell off the wagon over the weekend and weirdly have lost the mystery pounds gained last week so have ended up STS as last Monday. Going to try and knock another pound off this week if I can

NSV though is 2 inches off my waist||

QuimReaper · 13/07/2020 13:00

Hello all! Autumn I think if you've been eating anything like as indulgently as I have it's as much a question of changing shape as losing weight, so hopefully we're both making good progress even if our weight isn't changing much!

Red of COURSE you can start again today, imagine dieting on a child-free weekend, I'd have been disappointed with you if you had Grin Bet you had a lovely relaxing time, and well-earned too.

Squiffy I remember you, welcome back! So sorry to hear you fell ill in December, that's bound to throw you for a loop, and with lockdown I think most of us are just keeping our head above the water this year. It's going to be so strange to look back on. I hope you stick around though, we're all in it together and we'll get through it!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 13/07/2020 15:05

Child free weekend was bliss.

Back on it today!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 13/07/2020 20:44

I'm doing one day at a time.

Today was on plan 100% so I'm in bed feeling good.

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 14/07/2020 13:14

Red aaaaah a golden day and an early night, heaven! I may shoot for that myself tonight and just climb into bed with my book after my bath Smile

I'm hoping for another crummy 200g loss this week to nudge me back into my preferred kg bracket, for the first time since my birthday back in May! Shock

Squiffy01 · 14/07/2020 19:08

@RedLipsAndRosyCheeks so jealous of your child free weekend!

I started on Sunday after an amazing last Chinese on Saturday and have had a good couple of days which was well over due!!

I don’t really have an official plan of what I’m doing yet. Ideally I would like to do the fast800 but I think I need to ease myself into it Grin so goals for this week is to not eat until midday and do 10 000 steps a day. It was also no snacking but I have failed that twice but I have definitely cut back.
I’m most excited about my steps I would have been lucky to be doing 3000 steps a day since December I would mostly go from bed to the sofa but now I don’t need to shield anymore I am out every day for a walk and just sitting here polishing my halo 😇

Hope you are all well.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 14/07/2020 21:12

@Squiffy01 good work on the steps. Fast800 is hardcore and so any cutting back you do will be off benefit.

@QuimReaper I've had two golden days in a row now - you'd be so proud! In bed again now, and I've been for a run today

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 15/07/2020 11:34

Squiffy I think you should definitely ease into Fast800, with upping your steps so much and keeping an eye on the food, as well as what sounds like something close to 16:8 fasting, I bet you see a terrific drop really quickly to get you started, without going extreme. If I were you I'd take some to train yourself out of snacking and into whatever meal types you want to be eating on Fast800, with a bit of wiggle room for a few missteps whilst you adjust to it, and then save Fast800 for once your weight loss starts to plateau, when your head's firmly in the game and your brain has stopped shrieking for carbs. Well done on getting off to a flying start!

Red oh you can definitely have a halo-polish Grin I followed your lead and climbed into bed with my book last night instead of watching the news and fucking about on my iPad, and I slept like a log, I was very glad I did it!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 15/07/2020 12:09

Squiffy I agree with Quim. I do fast800 in theory but what happens in reality is that I follow the low carb, time restrictive eating principles but I generally eat 1000 cals a day I recon when I'm doing it. I do the odd 24hr fast too but I have found then easier as I go. If I go to hard on it then I fall off the wagon spectacularly!

Hello, shuffling back in.
What can I make for dinner? Have not much in fridge and delivery tomorrow. Some stuff in freezer and usual staples in cupboard. Lots of eggs.
I'm in a rut. What's your favourite meals?

QuimReaper · 15/07/2020 13:26

Hey thar stellar! Eggs are a fab start, I'm having frittata for dinner - any veg and cheese lying around? I love frittata because I just use up all the odds and sods in the veg drawer and any cheese ends lying around, the eggs cover a multitude of sins Grin

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 15/07/2020 13:27

@stellarblether I love shakshuka for an easy store cupboard tea.
Loads of recipes on line but basically onions, garlic, peppers (plus any likey looking veg kicking around like sugar snap peas, cabbage, courgette etc) with chopped tomatoes and chilli if you like. Cook for a bit in a frying pan then crack eggs in (two per person) and cover with a lid/foil for 4/5 mins.

If you are feeling indulgent then some grated cheese when the eggs are nearly set is delicious! You want the eggs to be a bit runny still but it takes good even if they are overdone.

You can also add chickpeas or beans if you want

Erm, slightly less golden today. Minor incident with the biscuit barrel.

Off to bed in a min to minimise the damage!

On the plus side I'm at 20k steps today so pleased with that.

OP posts:
stellarblether · 16/07/2020 11:28

Well I was going for a frittata style thing then I went out for an errand and ended up ordering a Chinese. I don't learn.
Went to bed early like you red lips to minimise damage Blush
Today will be golden!

QuimReaper · 16/07/2020 13:22

Oh dear Red and stellar, naughty step for you both Grin

Just kidding, obviously. Life shouldn't be devoid of the odd foray into the biscuit tin or unplanned takeaway, it's pinging back to normality after it that's the trick!

My husband's away next weekend and I am planning in great detail the eating extravaganza that will ensue as I luxuriate in the peace, the tidiness and the unfettered remote control access. I've placed the most ridiculous grocery order, am planning at least one takeaway, and have even allocated an extra day to the weekend to make the most of it Grin I'll still be trying to work it off at Christmas I'm sure, but I don't give a sam heck, I can't WAIT.

lastqueenofscotland · 17/07/2020 08:27

For the first time in over three years... I’m in the 9s!!!! Grin

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 17/07/2020 20:44

@lastqueenofscotland wow! Well done!!!

@QuimReaper enjoy your solitude! I've managed to get rid of the kids every so often but not DH too (mores the pity!) so I'm very jealous.

I'm on flexible furlough at the moment but work as exploded over the last two days. It's good to be back though so it's nose to the grindstone for me tomorrow.

I'm not sticking 100% to fast800 but I'm doing well. Weigh in on Monday and aiming for 3lb off.

OP posts:
KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 18/07/2020 08:43

Wow lastly well done to you Star

Well my so called boot camp week has not come to pass. After the most stressful and hectic six months of my working life I made use of my first time off since Christmas by actually enjoying myself! I've regained the 4lb I lost and I'm ending the week back at 12. 0. 2 stone.

I don't care though Grin

Also I got a new kitten on Monday so obviously I've had to spend the week lying on the floor playing with her!

I'd say I'll get back on it next week but it's my birthday next week so I probably won't!

I'm really interested in how you all get on with the fast 800 though. I'm going to give it a try in August.

AutumnNymph · 18/07/2020 10:33

One pound down this week so am back to where I was two weeks ago before the mystery gain which went away once periods finally made a visit.

Overall my diet has been decent this week, DH has also joined me in 16:8 and that’s kicked my motivation back up. We are maintaining the same fasting windows so we don’t tempt each other with junk food during the fasting window,

Hoping to kick another pound of this week,

@lastqueenofscotland well done!

@QuimReaper so jealous of your solitude
