So, once again I've started again, drawn lines in the sand, made plans, batched cooked etc (you all know the score!).

I will be slim this year!

Slightly scared of the scales so not willing to weigh until Monday but come and join us to get slender!

All diets and weighing frequencies welcome!

Fifty I do not envy you in quarantine.

On the one hand don't want to encourage you to go mad and lose it, equally, this is an extreme situation so cut yourself some slack re extra drinks and snacks.

Paws how has your day been?

Mines been good food wise and I went for a lovely long ride with a friend tonight. It was warm and sunny and we had a good gossip!

So tea tonight was McDonald's and crisps.

Am just watching some Buffy then I'm getting in the bath.

I've decided Friday is a have what you'd like for tea day.

I'm still here! Went to the IL for Sunday lunch. Indulgent but didn't have anything else to eat today and did t eat much yesterday either in preparation.

Sorry I’ve been AWOL, I haven’t been dieting/healthy eating this week. I’ve had another cold/sore throat/cough and I’ve had no energy. Sooo I’ve spent the week eating cake and ice lollies I just craved sugar.

All being well I’m back on it for two weeks until my partners birthday when I intend to eat all the cake and cheesecake I’m planning to make. So, two weeks of trying hard.

How are you doing Red and fifty? I thought we might have some returnees in September but it looks like just us three so we’d better keep posting until the others come back.

Paws just do what you can.

How much longer have you got in quarantine fifty?
Ello, sounds sensible. I'm trying similar. I'm trying to eat like a normal slim person.

I'm v v tired today, work has been manic! Just going to have tea then go to bed.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 08/09/2020 22:35

Another day done, eating was ok-ish but managed 17,000 steps so that was a decent amount.

Ello I’m no doing brilliantly with the eating either but every small amount of weight off is still a good result.

Red sleep well and I hope tomorrow isn’t quite as manic.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 09/09/2020 21:46

Today was better thank you paws.

Numbers are looking up for next week which is a relief too!

Still plugging away re food. I'm staying off the scales for a bit though.

poorpaws · 09/09/2020 22:39

Tried to do ok today as I’ve got a hefty eating day out tomorrow. Its no good me saying I’ll choose something low calorie from the menu because when I get there I know I just won’t do it. I’m hoping to walk quite a lot for damage limitation.

Keep on trying, that’s all we can do.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 13/09/2020 09:39

Friday and Saturday were not as bad as they have been previously but not great.

Still plugging away though

I’m having the most horrendous week with food.

I made this Rolo cheesecake today and ate loads of it. It wasn’t even that nice, very sickly but I just kept eating it 🤦‍♀️ There’s not much hope for me this month.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 16/09/2020 20:19

Paws that's why I just don't bake! I have zero self control.

I'm doing ok at the moment. At least I am during the week but it keeps going tits up at the weekend which undoes all my hard work during the week. Sigh.

Anyway, the scales are not going up so that's a good thing!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 18/09/2020 12:47

I'm full of cold today (thank you DS2) and shattered. Have just had a very carby lunch which is not good. I'm going to face a bath and go to bed early though so I might not have tea. Going out for tea tomorrow with a friend so there will be booze!

Coooooweeeee! Anyone remember the October Push? 🤔 it’s October tomorrow 🙋‍♀️

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 30/09/2020 19:14

@poorpaws hello!

I'm 3lb for September so not a total wash out.

I'm up for October push though.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 01/10/2020 09:22

Hi Red so pleased you’re joining me again.

September was dire, absolutely dire, far worse than anticipated.

But, I’ve dusted myself off, given myself a good talking to and I’m ready for the October Push. In fact I’m hoping to do the first two weeks in November too before my birthday so a six weeks Push for me.

I’m back in the 11s (11st 3 1/4 this morning) so I’m fighting to get back in the 10s soon.

Are we posting daily again? I’m up for anything to get rid of a lot of weight for Christmas. Im up for any suggestions.

Have you got much going on in October? Luckily most of my celebrations finished at the end of September.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 01/10/2020 10:13

Daily posting sounds good to me.

DH's birthday is the end of Oct but that it and that won't be anything fancy this year.

Work is awful at the moment, I'm worried the business will go under in the worst case and best case will be redundancies so I'd like some good news in the form of steady weight loss!

We can do this paws I know we can!

OP posts:
poorpaws · 01/10/2020 13:50

Oh dear Red it sounds as if you have a lot of worries about work. It is far more difficult to lose weight if you’re worried or stressed (I always turn to food for comfort) but I’ll try to be as supportive as I can and let’s hope it turns out well.

Good first morning (but it’s not difficult on the first day because I’m always so optimistic), 13,000 step dog walk and food consumption ok.

Have you got a loss goal for October or up to Christmas? I’m trying to work out a realistic goal. I darent set one too high as it becomes insurmountable and I fail.

poorpaws · 01/10/2020 14:11

Just to make you smile Red this was DP’s birthday cake! It was going to be a very special cake for a big birthday and I’d been planning it for ages. A very expensive and decadent cake (container four bars of Lindt chocolate and loads of other yummy ingredients).

My oven is always a worry because it’s not accurate and I’ve got two oven thermometers which give very different readings on the same shelf. Anyway I made it with great care and as I was about to place it in the oven the spring loaded cake tin sprang open and the contents landed all over the floor. I took this photo after I’d cleaned most of it up. 😡

Good idea for weight loss, make a cake and throw it all over the floor 😱

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 01/10/2020 20:57

Oh no! Poor cake, I'm sure it would have been delicious.

I made flapjack today at the request of DH and DS1, big mistake. It's just too delicious! I will not eat any more.

I'll follow your lead goal wise and keep it small. 1lb a week will do nicely.

Hopefully the work situation won't turn out too badly. I'm going to try to use it to our advantage and go through the business plan and accounts with a fine tooth comb and see if we can make some changes.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 02/10/2020 18:29

Red how is it going? I agree 1 lb per week would be good.

I’ve spent most of the day waiting for the torrential rain to stop for our walk. We eventually managed a short, wet walk so not so many steps as I would have liked.

I’ve felt hungry for most of the day but probably not hunger at all as Ive craved something sweet not “real” food. I could kill for a flapjack, I love it!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 02/10/2020 18:54

Today has been good. I am having a drink tonight but only 3 gins in a tin so won't be too calorific.

Steps were good today too. I'm recovering from a terrible head cold so I'm still knackered!

OP posts:
poorpaws · 03/10/2020 21:58

Had the most awful binge night ever and I’ll be so sorry tomorrow. I’ve had a lot of backpain for the last four days and tonight it’s been particularly bad so I’ve eased it with chocolate, ice cream, crisps, you name it.

Hope you’ve done better than me Red.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 03/10/2020 22:07

Some sweets but not too bad.

Went out to the theatre to watch my friend in her one woman show which was great.

I'm sorry about your back and your binge paws. We all do it, it's so hard to stay on the straight and narrow. You can dust yourself off tomorrow.

I need to start running again. I'm back in the rhythm of work now so I'm going to aim for two runs next week to ease myself back in.
