So, once again I've started again, drawn lines in the sand, made plans, batched cooked etc (you all know the score!).

I will be slim this year!

Slightly scared of the scales so not willing to weigh until Monday but come and join us to get slender!

All diets and weighing frequencies welcome!

hi again @lastqueenofscotland - well done on your 3 year low!

Sim to Red i am doing so so this weekend. PMS has hit me hard and am grouchy, hormonal and hungry.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 28/06/2020 18:04

@AutumnNymph pmt+lockdown is an awful combination!

I'm pushing through today as a fast day so I've had many cups of tea and bovril.

I'd forgotten that my hunger goes away without too much difficulty so I'm feeling positive about next week.

@RedLipsAndRosyCheeks am peri menopausal and PMT seems to be getting worse and lasting
Longer. As I looked at MFP a little while I realised I have been too grumpy and sleepy to over eat today and have stayed within my calorie limit.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 29/06/2020 07:38

@AutumnNymph that is a win!

I weighed myself this morning. 13st 4 so 4lb up on lockdown low, 1st 5 to target. I'm 5ft 9 so a smidge under 12 stone will do me very nicely!

Got some tasty food planned for this week so I'm ready and raring to go!

Good luck to everyone for this week - onwards and downwards we go!!

Hope everyone has had a good start to the week, I had weetabix for breakfast, fruit at lunch and I've just made myself a chicken salad using the last bits of chicken from yesterday's roast dinner, my running club is back on tonight but limited numbers, it'll be nice to see everyone again and if I get a 5k done tonight I'll have completed 50 miles in June Smile
Weather is miserable here but it's easier to get exercise in.. can't have it all can we?

poorpaws · 29/06/2020 22:37

So on to weight news. I gained 2 stones over winter and during lockdown I’ve lost one of them so another one to go but struggling now. I’m so very delighted you are all back.

lastqueenofscotland · 30/06/2020 00:00

Ooo congratulations in order poorpaws?!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 30/06/2020 06:38

Ooooh! @poorpaws what a beautiful ring!

Paws hi and congratulations, that's wonderful news I'm so happy for you and we'll done for shifting that first stone Flowers

poorpaws · 30/06/2020 08:45

We went to Dartmoor (our favourite place) and had a perfect day last Monday. Very hot weather, takeaway fish and chips from our favourite cafe which was closed but had a small takeaway area open. We took the dogs, had long walks most of the day with amazing scenery (and ice cream) and then went to a very beautiful secluded area near a reservoir and got engaged.

All our friends and my daughter were absolutely amazed. No one knew and I’m very against men and have been on my own for a very long time. We’ve seen each other every day for 4.1/2 years for dog walking so I know him well and he’s a good man. He’s very gentle, kind, patient and thoughtful and my dogs adore him (that was important). Everyone (including my own daughter) feels sorry for him for taking me on 🤣

Thank you to everyone for your good wishes.

Red it took me ages to choose the ring, as you can see I have old gnarled hands so wanted something simple. The big day? In about 10 years I think, I don’t want to rush into anything.😀

Back to the diet now. Hope everyone is doing well. I’m back on it today and really must settle down and get this done.

QuimReaper · 30/06/2020 16:08

Hello everyone! Good to see you here again lasty and paws - and WOW paws what a lovely story and a beautiful ring! Congratulations!

I had another minuscule loss last week, but it's coming down. Slooooowly. I've finally lost for three weeks on the trot, so although in real terms that actually equals a grand total of

AutumnNymph · 30/06/2020 16:57

Congratulations @poorpaws ! Gorgeous ring.

I am having an okay week. Todays weigh in shows a sudden loss of half a pound on yesterday! So while I will cherish the loss, I wouldnt hold my i am fully expecting it to come back in a day or so. I weighed in at 55.5 kgs this morning. My next mini goal is 55 kgs. My target weight after which I go into maintenance is 54 kgs. Hoping to reach there by July .

I was 61kgs with lockdown gain when I started to seriously focus on losing the gain early May so am quite pleased with the progress so far.

stellarblether · 30/06/2020 21:50

Hi, I'm back with namechange. On school holidays no excuse.
How are you all? Hi Poorpaws and congratulations! That is wonderful news. I'll get my hat ready.
Today I had toast and scrambled egg. Pasta with broccoli for lunch. Then salmon and broccoli lattice tart.
Exercise was massive clean of the absolute shitshow that my family call a bathroom.

Just read my meals and too carby so will need to work on that.

AutumnNymph · 01/07/2020 10:01

Welcome back @stellarblether

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 01/07/2020 10:12

Today will be off plan but I'm celebrating both kids being in school/nursery at the same time! Back on it tomorrow.

@RedLipsAndRosyCheeks. that definitely calls for a celebration day. all DD8 got was an "experience day" last week at her school (she isnt one of the year groups going back) and I am not ashamed to say I did a little freedom dance once the door shut behind her and DH.

Obviously love her to bits and blah blah blah but there is a very good reason why i was the first women in my Mums side of the family for many generations who chose not to be a teacher/academician of some kind. I suck at it.

AutumnNymph · 01/07/2020 10:41

Oh and I weighed in again at 55.5 kgs this morning so am hopeful it will stick. However the perimenopausal tum doesn't seem to be shrinking at all. I need to up my exercise. (its non existent now excepting household chores)

QuimReaper · 01/07/2020 11:27

Gosh Autumn you've done amazingly! It took me MONTHS to go down from 61kg to 55, you've done it so quickly!

Welcome back Stellar Smile Can you give us a hint of what you were formally known as? Your food sounds mouthwatering, especially the lattice tart - I shall have to look into that, my husband would go mad for it, and it sounds like a perfect summer lunch. Do you have a pet recipe?

Red I agree with Autumn, an empty house is DEFINITELY cause for celebration. I hope you ate ice cream and drank wine in your pants Grin

@QuimReaper thats the weight I had gained over lockdown :D I believe its easier and quicker to lose the weight before it settles.

I am now at below my pre lock down weight. 2 more kgs to reach pre Christmas weight.

poorpaws · 01/07/2020 19:21

Well all my good intentions to start serious weight loss in July have been scuppered.

My friend from the opposite side of the country has rung me to tell me to be home Friday between 12 and 1pm. She has ordered a high tea to be delivered! Multi filled sandwiches, macaroons, scones with home made jam and lots of cake (she knows how I adore cake). How lovely is that, I am so touched. Ah well diet will start Saturday then 😀

Hope everyone else is doing ok and I’ll be joining you all soon 😉

AutumnNymph · 01/07/2020 20:48

@poorpaws that sounds amazing! Also most Asian cultures that have high tea don't have the Western level of obesity - its more the balance of calories throughout the day.

< I totally made that up but if not true, it should be>

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 01/07/2020 21:30

Congratulations poorpaws Flowers lovely news!

And well done to everyone who has lost.

I was down to 11 11 this morning. That's 2lb lower than the end of last week. Not sure I'll stay there after a biscuit incident this afternoon. I'd love to end the week on 11 10.

stellarblether · 02/07/2020 04:36

Hey all, can't sleep.

Yesterday's food was whole meal
Toast and cheese spread, a packet of crisps. Salmon and multigrain salad. A couple of guns later on as on "holiday".

@quimreaper I am a part of the Scottish contingent. Also was in the original Fitbit and WhatsApp gang. I did the egg diet! Was always Stellar Grin
Lattice tart sounds fancy but was a collaboration of what was in the fridge.

Half a sheet of ready roll puff pastry, egg brush and cook for 10 mins. Cool then spread cream cheese on top, top with cooked broccoli and cooked salmon, season.
Slice up rest of ready roll uncooked puff pastry, arrange in a lattice formation over above broccoli and salmon, locking it into the puff sheet below. Egg brush and cook for about 20 mins or till ready.

Hope that makes sense, many of my recipes are of the "let's see how this goes" type.

Today I plan to have fruit or veg smoothies then pakoras and salad later. And going to do a round of hiit.
First I will try and get back to the land of nod for a couple of hours. Zzz.

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 02/07/2020 07:20

Ffs I give up on trying to name change!

That pie sounds delicious stellar!
