So, once again I've started again, drawn lines in the sand, made plans, batched cooked etc (you all know the score!).

I will be slim this year!

Slightly scared of the scales so not willing to weigh until Monday but come and join us to get slender!

All diets and weighing frequencies welcome!

Oh wow paws that friend is a keeper, lucky you! That sounds absolutely delicious and I hope you have bubbly to go with it!

Autumn I can easily understand gaining a stone in the twinkling of an eye, but gaining it AND losing it is damned impressive Grin I reckon you're right about easy-on-easy-off, not least because when you gain quickly it's often largely bloat, water weight etc.

Kick that's absolutely great, and if you hold fast today I see no reason why you can't kick another pound

Oh stellar I have you now Blush In my defence didn't you used to sport a capitalisation? I'm easily confused Grin Your pie sounds JUST the ticket! Do you use a dish though, or is the puff pastry flat on a baking sheet, and then the lattice forming the sides as well as the top? I am so totally making that next time MIL comes over!

stellarblether · 02/07/2020 16:25

I do normally go in for capitals Quim but in lockdown anything goes.

Yes a baking sheet is fine. I stuck my lattice ends to the pastry underneath. You could pretty it up more than I did.

Feeling very golden so far today. Haven't moved a lot but I've been writing my mind map for a healthy lifestyle.

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 03/07/2020 07:17

Child free Wednesday was bliss and I ate loads! Back on it yesterday though so that's good.

Having a mild nightmare re work and the contradictory and unclear guidance that is being released

OP posts:
AutumnNymph · 04/07/2020 11:56

I did it! By some miracle, I have lost a full kg this week and have hit my mini-goal of 55 kgs. While I have been golden for the most part, the pace is normally very slow as I am in the normal weight range now. 2 more kgs to go for pre Christmas weight and my personal happy weight but to be honest I have never managed to sustain at 53 so will be happy ifi i manage to just maintain once I reach 54kg.

That said, we have just ordered takeaway for lunch as a treat on this dreary day and I am hoping I keep it together enough not to gain the whole stone back in a day :D

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 04/07/2020 12:17

Wow well done autumn Star great progress.

I am still 11 11 today which I'm happy with after a take away last night. Hoping a quiet weekend might see one more lb off before Monday.

No plans to head off to the nearest pub!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 04/07/2020 13:16

Well done to everyone who is doing well. This week started off well for me but has not ended well! Stress and general life crap really got me down but I'm going to go out for a run and then have a bath later so hopefully that'll get me out of this funk and back on track.

I'll be dodging the scales again for a few days!

OP posts:
AutumnNymph · 04/07/2020 15:01

So the good news is I didnt stuff my face with the takeaway - the bad news is that its because the food wasn't great. Not ordering from this place again (its a new one we tried today)

DH and I are planning a movie marathon now far rom any pubs and hair dressers. Whats everyone got planned?

stellarblether · 04/07/2020 23:18

My birthday yesterday and we can now travel more than five miles (Scotland). Over five miles to our nearest shop so we've broke the rules just to get food.
We have painted DS room today. Both of them sleeping on a sofa bed pretending they are on holiday. Weather is typical Scotland at this time. Blowing a hoolie and pouring rain.

I have eaten too much and lying in bed just now watching films with DH bringing glass upon glass of wine.

AutumnNymph · 05/07/2020 09:14

@stellarblether happy birthday!!

AutumnNymph · 05/07/2020 11:41

I am up on yesterday which is understandable after the food and wine that was had and all the exercise that WASNT had.

On it again from today.

stellarblether · 06/07/2020 12:24

Thanks @AutumnNymph
On it too today. Had plans to batch cook but DC1 projectile vomited all over me so I'm not really feeling it just now. Confused

AutumnNymph · 06/07/2020 12:36

@stellarblether that sounds awful - is DC1 better now?

my DD has been fighting a cold for what seems like months now but has in reality been just over 2 weeks. I feel more tired when she is poorly than when I am :D

Today has been okayish so far. Feeling quite hormonal so not sure the cakes are safe from me

LemonPeonies · 06/07/2020 12:38

Hi everyone! Can I join? I've piled on the baby weight (which I almost lost all of) during lockdown. 7 months postpartum now and weigh 12 stone 8, lost a few pounds the last week doing a calorie deficit diet of 1200 calories a day and breastfeeding and exercising. It's working, most days I had less than 1200 so yesterday went out for a late lunch with OH and baby and didn't worry about the calories Grin. Breast milk isn't being affected which is what I was worried about and I was able to wear a top that I couldn't even do the zip up on, a few weeks ago so small victories. I'm here for support, motivation and tips. Smile

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 06/07/2020 14:22

You can resist @AutumnNymph ! (says she who has never resisted a cake in her life)

Urgh @stellarblether grim

Welcome @LemonPeonies we are a supportive bunch here with a wide mix of methods/successes!

I'm having a fast day today after I overindulged on booze yesterday. I'm getting by on tea and bovril so far but I'm feeling a bit jittery now!

Hello all! I had a bloody STS on Friday, it's so annoying. At least it wasn't a gain, but I was so good! Sad

Autumn that's wonderful, well done you! Shame about the rubbish takeaway though, there's nothing worse than a disappointing treat - what kind of food was it?

Red sorry to hear work's been a shag, I'm feeling pretty blue right now too. I ate everything this weekend, certainly not anticipating being able to undo the damage by Friday so I'll settle for treading water for now.

stellar Happy belated birthday to you! Films and a magic porridge pot of wine sounds delightful, although the projectile vomiting not so much - is he OK now?

Welcome LemonPeonies, lovely to have a new face around Smile Excellent non-scale victory with the top, and I'm sure with 1200 calories AND breastfeeding and exercise you'll be back to pre-lockdown weight in no time, and if you've done it before you can do it again! How much do you have to lose? Presumably not much, if it's just lockdown weight?

LemonPeonies · 06/07/2020 22:47

@QuimReaper it's a bit more than lockdown weight TBH, but I didn't weigh myself around Christmas when I looked smaller so just going by size, I had to buy size 14 clothes and I'm usually a 10. I weigh 12 stone 8 now so need to lose about 3 stone Blush

LemonPeonies · 06/07/2020 22:49

I was probably 10 and a half stone when I got pregnant, looked slim but was still technically not as healthy weight as I could be if that makes sense.

Hello @Elloello (Grin) what's RH like? I'm only aware of it in passing from it's (his?) dislike of SW.

I've had two good days so I'm pleased with that's (small victories!)

I'm child free again tomorrow but no celebratory food this time, I'm going to do another fast day. I'm going out on Saturday night and I'd like to be able to fit in my clothes!!

I'm lockdown neutral now weight wise but it's been very up and down. Found out today I'm furloughed until September, I feel more relaxed now I know what's going on at least.

I hope everyone else is doing well (or at least just ok, I am more than aware how hard it is!)

QuimReaper · 08/07/2020 11:48

Aaaaah there you are @Elloello! Welcome back into the newly-restated fold! Don't worry, it's happened to most of us - I managed to put a lid on it at about 5lbs, but was already packing a bit extra before lockdown, and good grief the extra is resisting coming off! I think now that normality is creeping back into view, we'll all fall back into a bit of a pattern and it'll get a bit easier.

Red hurrah for another child-free day! It'll all be much easier now there's a bit more headspace to be had, I'm sure.

I've been a bit slow on the steps this week, but I think my efforts are beginning to tell in the mirror if not the scales! My thighs look a shade smaller, and I think my belly's reduced a tad. We'll see!
I'm having

AutumnNymph · 09/07/2020 08:21

hello all! I am sulking as I have mysteriously regained the 2 pounds I lost last week and I DIDNT EVEN EAT ANY CAKE!! The pounds came back on Monday morning (I had a golden weekend I tell you - GOLDEN) and seems to be settling in for a longish visit.

I am going blame bloody peri and irregular cycles. I shall keep walking the path of the golden.

I’m still completely stuck but I’ve slipped into having a bit more here and there and no counting it. Refresh button pressed I hope

QuimReaper · 09/07/2020 11:59

Autumn GAH that is SO annoying for you! When I have a gain I at least want to gaze back in fond regret at the packet of Maryland cookies I decimated, it's awful when you've no delicious memories to take the edge off Grin As you say though, has to just be water retention and it'll suddenly evaporate again.

Ello switching from wine to gin & slim works like MAGIC for me. It's not just the calories, they're just more acidic and harder to glug. I end up drinking less overall on them, so I get less tipsy and don't make silly decisions, and they also make me feel full so I'm less likely to feel the need to graze. I think it's also that a night of avoiding wine makes me feel all virtuous, and it feels like a waste if I ruin it with random carbs.

Unfortunately I like wine so much to do it Grin

lasty it's so easily done. I had a whole period a couple of summers ago when I was getting annoyed with my lack of weight loss, but when I was really honest with myself I had to admit I'd got into the habit of randomly wandering up to the fridge and hacking chunks off a chorizo sausage. It's just a headspace thing, you'll get there.

I do think I can finally see some weight loss this week! My hip region is looking less doughy. Hope it's reflected in the scales tomorrow morning, I could use a little boost Smile

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 10/07/2020 07:32

Hello elloello and others. And welcome to lemonpeonies. Congratulations on your new arrival Flowers

It's been a bit of a bad week for me. I have had a stressful week at work which always makes me reach for the sweet stuff.

I've got a week off next week and I'm planning to go full boot camp! This is at odds with dds plans for the week which are various meals out and baking. Confused

Still 11 12 yesterday so I'd like to shift at least 2lb next week.
