Apologies for the terrible title but I wanted to encapsulate the boss and how supportive everyone is.

Good walk @SunshineCake and glad therapy went well.

Hope you had a good day @Foreverlexicon

We're home. Did a quick workout this evening, will face the scales tomorrow.

Foreverlexicon · 26/07/2020 05:53

Good day yesterday. Horse was fantastic and came 5th so happy happy days - that’s a great result at an affiliated competition.

I stuck to my calorie goal although not the healthiest day. Plan to improve that the next few days!

B - banana and nutrigrain bar
L - wrap with bbq chicken, cheese and spinach. Sunbite crisps and an apple.
D - chicken nuggets in a roll and lots of bugle crisps Blush
S - chocolate and lotus biscuits

Plan to go on a 10k run today and paint the skirting boards. Gf is coming home from her trip early and is coming here for a couple of days which is lovely.

fallfallfall · 26/07/2020 15:09

5th is great forever
Poor weather on Friday which prevented the biking but back on track yesterday.
All’s well over here, hoping everyone has their nose to the grindstone as it’s nearly the end of the month!

SunshineCake · 26/07/2020 15:31

Well done ForeverHouse that is great !

DH and I took Ddog to the beach and the boys aren't happy we went without them. DD isn't bothered. DH and I just wanted some time on our own. My watch said I've walked 62km but that isn't right. I'm still getting to know how to use my watch and it counted when I was driving.

DS1 is finishing off painting his room that he started yesterday and DS2 is now starting his as DH just took him to get new paint. I'm having ten minutes then I will go and do the ironing and then we are having duck for dinner. I will go on the bike later as I won't be able to run tomorrow easily as DS2 is in school.

Glad your therapy went well @SunshineCake Smile it sounds like you've had a very productive weekend!

Brilliant news about your gf (and the competition!) @Foreverlexicon - one day I may achieve a 10K run...!

Hope you enjoyed your holiday @MrsJonesAndMe and that the scales are kind to you Grin

I may weigh in Tuesday rather than tomorrow as DP is off work tomorrow - this would be a help with the DC but I swear sometimes he spends more time faffing than anything else... I've done plenty of exercise (HIIT yesterday, run today) and food was ok until today - we went to an open air market today and there were delicious cakes galore! I did however refuse everything except a large cookie and a tiny bit of DS2/s brownie - sainthood awaits me Halo

fallfallfall · 27/07/2020 01:55

Oh Ruby I so so so understand about the cakes and brownies!! Dh left me alone in a pastry shop with instructions to get something for our picnic....$40 and 7 different items later....they will be enjoyed but hard to work off

SunshineCake · 27/07/2020 07:20

Grrr. That was meant to be well done Forever HORSE.

Since you know MrRuby will faff rather than do some parenting get him stuck into something immediately so he can't.

Enjoy the pastries fallfallfall.

I should be getting up but the day ahead feels too much. I love everyone being here but missing not ever having the house to myself. My alone time is walking the dog but that isn't the same.

Wondering whether to weigh myself. Bit worried as the last one was good and I'll be upset if it isn't the same as then or less.

Have a good day everyone.

Foreverlexicon · 27/07/2020 07:26

Thanks everyone Grin

Run went well yesterday although I had awful Runner’s tummy cramps all the way through Blush which was awful but I made it.

Food went well;
B - yoghurt with berries and granola
L - bbq chicken and cheese wrap with spinach and crisps.
D - red pepper and chicken gnocchi with garlic bread and salad
S - cherries and chocolate
E - ran 10k

Plan to do an abs workout today and ride the horse. Think gf wants to go for a walk too.

Have a good day everyone

SunshineCake · 27/07/2020 11:11

I am always so envious of your meals *@Foreverlexicon as so many of the ingredients I would be intolerant to. I had upset tummy this morning and it is because of the cheat tea. I used frozen roasties that are dipped in rice flour. Full marks foe dropping the unnecessary wheat but it doesn't help me when I am intolerant to rice Sad. To make it worse I have only just discovered one ingredient in my digestive tablets is white rice powder so what I have been taking to hopefully enable me to eat something I am intolerant too is actually part of the issue.

I was up a couple of pounds this morning but I am okay. I feel so much slimmer, I was only able to do a 40 minute mild walk so I will do a higher intensity ride on the bike later on. My head is ok so that is the main thing.

OP posts:
fallfallfall · 27/07/2020 15:26

I too find inspiration in forevers meal outlines.
If I write mine out it either looks boring or is to complicated to list out.
DH is saving me from the pastry by eating them which is fine. The oatmeal raisin cookies (big ones, were two cookies with a thick layer of buttercream apple cinnamon flavor icing in between), the ginger cookies had orange buttercream.
I did my bike ride late in the evening as it was a warm one!
sunshine the food intolerances must be really hard to avoid and work around when in a busy household. The fitness will help.

SunshineCake · 27/07/2020 15:54

I'm going to go on the bike. Eek.

I've had two walks with the dog but I'm feeling really flat after my therapy and will probably want chocolate later so I have to earn it.

The cookies sound delicious.

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 27/07/2020 16:32

Oh @SunshineCake those intolerances sound a nightmare.

Well done @Foreverlexicon and horse

Love the feeding it to DH plan @fallfallfall

I weighed yesterday. Wasn't very good. I fasted 16 hours, ate in 6. Today I fasted nearly 17 hours and will be eating in 7. Will hop on the scales again tomorrow to see what's going on.

Back to exercise too, but we did a lot of walking on holiday so not sure if they're off setting each other or if I do more if I do a focused session.

Check in with you tomorrow.

fallfallfall · 27/07/2020 16:47

Dh served up breakfast; bacon eggs toast beans and watermelon. Beautiful looking plate restaurant worthy (anise seed and fig bread) but I put away half my bread and the beans for lunch. I’ll need to balance lunch and supper.

Foreverlexicon · 28/07/2020 07:23

@SunshineCake oh that does sound so difficult. I can stop if you want, I just find it keeps me accountable.

@fallfallfall that bread sounds delicious! Well done for saving some for lunch.

Good day yesterday. I didn’t really have lunch as gf was making a slap up dinner (she’s a fantastic cook but thankfully she’s very accommodating with my food issues)

B - peanut butter and banana on rice cakes
S - nutrigrain bar and sun bites
D - steak with Diane sauce, chips, onion rings, green beans and tomatoes.
S - salted caramel and macadamia nut ice cream

All in my calorie count so no guilt here!
I did get a terrible nights sleep as my sofa and mattress were collected yesterday - new sofa comes tomorrow but no word on the mattress yet but as it’s king size and I’m also having my bedroom carpet replaced in the next couple of weeks, I thought it may as well go as my spare room is very small so will struggle to get furniture out as it is. This means we’re sleeping in the spare room which only has a 4 foot double so pretty cramped and I was boiling hot all night. So I ended up awake between 3am and 5am and was starving so had a snack. I’ll probably be about 100 cal over today due to this but whatever.

Plan to go for a hill run once the sofa is here, will ride later and probably go for a walk with the gf. Have a good day everyone

Foreverlexicon · 28/07/2020 07:26

Forgot to say, I had a major non scale victory on Sunday and wore size 10 jeans! Need to try on my others to check this wasn’t fluke. Had a bit too much of a muffin top but I don’t think I will need to lose as much more as I thought. It’s a surprise as I was lighter than this a couple of years ago and didn’t fit into my size 10s so shows how much difference exercise makes!

SunshineCake · 28/07/2020 10:53

Oh no *@Foreverlexicon please continue posting your meals. I can try and adapt and it is lovely to get inspirationSmile. In fact I am going to make a steak dinner next time I food shop as I need the iron. I am so tired in the afternoon I am hoping it will boost me.

Well done on your size 10 👖. I was very excited when I got into new size 12's but tens are never going to happen.

My NSV is I ran today and my average for a kilometre was faster than the last three runs, I ran further than the last two, whatever the fat % count thing means I was 1% better and my pace max minute per km was also faster. Plus the weight that went in with the bad intolerance eat has all but 0.2 of a lb come off. Yay!

MrsJonesAndMe · 28/07/2020 16:17

Hurrah @Foreverlexicon and @SunshineCake and well done on the will power @fallfallfall though for me the beans would go in the bin - don't like them at all!

I have felt really off today and haven't stopped eating from opening my fasting window despite not even feeling hungry any more. WTF? Have ordered a book to read up on thyroids and it's not coming apparently till as late as the 4th! Oh well.

I've been sticking to fasting window and some of the holiday gain had gone this morning and my BMI was at 24, but who knows what will happen if I can't get myself back on track.

Hope you're OK @RubySlippers77 are you on summer holidays now? More of the same, but at least no home schooling! DH and DS has painted his room today which has kept them busy!

Are you still locked down @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50? Thinking of you!

How was the holiday @Galvantula? I know I needed the headspace and change in scenery!

Galvantula · 28/07/2020 16:36

Still here @MrsJonesAndMe!

Driving home in a couple of days.

I think I've almost balanced trying nice food and drink Vs not overdoing it and having work to do when I get home! It's a lot sunnier here so trying to make the most of it. Most of the time staying at the house we rented rather than going out social distancing. Supermarkets are just as little fun as they are at home! 😷

Off to sit outside with a drink....

Catch up soon...

fallfallfall · 28/07/2020 16:52

mrsjones I can relate to the eating too much, that’s why I don’t do IF or even skipping meals. I just do really poor small choices over and over and over. So sticking to 3 smaller, no snacking (generally) works.
I’ve lost 3 lbs for sure this month. It’s the cardio...
As for BMI still 27 dreaming of 25, 24 is..,,

SunshineCake · 28/07/2020 18:35

I wonder if I dare check my BMI. I still remember the shame of the Wii saying I was obese Sad.

OP posts:
SunshineCake · 28/07/2020 18:38

BMI 28.1

Overweight

Healthy weight range 7 stone 13 Hmm and 10 stone 10.

I knew I was overweight but it is still hard seeing it in black and white. Ridiculous to think just under eight stone is healthy or achievable imo.

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 28/07/2020 20:46

(((hugs))) @SunshineCake Didn't mean to upset you. No way could I be as light now as I was in my late teens/early twenties. That's why it's a range of weight. I was about 58kg when I was young which was a BMI of 20. When I look at my (first) wedding pictures of course I look very slim, but you can actually see my collar bones poking out... and I've actually never been very healthy in terms of eating or exercise, so maybe that's the goal for my 40s.

I've been doing Leslie @fallfallfall and enjoying it! I eat 3 meals and snack Blush

Ah enjoy a different 4 walls @Galvantula I found the town centre too much while away, but got a click and collect slot for the fresh stuff and took all the dried goods with us, so avoided shopping bar ice creams

SunshineCake · 28/07/2020 20:48

You didn't upset me *@MrsJonesAndMe.Smile I missed the bit your posted about BMI and looked it up after reading fall's post.

OP posts:
MrsJonesAndMe · 28/07/2020 20:53

And you can run 5K which I can't do! Wink

SunshineCake · 28/07/2020 21:43

Neither could I last month!
