Have you done this? How have you done this?

I'm 5'8" and 19st.
I know I need to eat less and move more.

I have small children and I'm still breastfeeding. Apart from the standard chasing a toddler I'm pretty sedentary. I do all the cooking, not terribly unhealthy food but probably much too much of it.

Help me give myself a kick up my huge arse please!!

@Winningatseesaw - that's brilliant, well done! In the 14s and 20kg lost, that's amazing! Clearly your slump week wasn't really Smile

Well done for coming back @daisyhead08, the carrying on bit is probably the hardest bit. Good luck for your next ten weeks.

Winningatseesaw · 25/09/2020 11:02

I am wondering if it will catch up with me next week but hey ho, I'm pleased!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Fitbeforeihit50 · 28/09/2020 15:36

Checking in to say I have gained 2kg.

Honestly don't know why. Hoping it is something to do with having my period this week but I don't know.

I have been walking and eating sensibly so I don't know what has happened.

Nixi4 · 29/09/2020 07:57

I'm not weighing in this week 🤣.. last week had a terrible cold and then had my girls weekend away.. which was a planned weekend off! So I've ended up with a week and a half off.. but back on it today. Expecting a horrible headache etc as back to Keto, will start IF later in week..

Glad to see so many posts, and well done all!

Zebracat · 29/09/2020 11:26

Weighed today and I am exactly 100 kgs, so that’s 500 grams down from last week. Wasn’t expecting it. I over ate yesterday, 2 homemade brownies, a kitkat, glass of cider and a really buttery crumpet with honey, as well as 3 normal meals. I was working on something difficult, and was surprised to find brain work made me just as hungry as last weeks landscaping. So the loss is a bonus.
I so much want to get under 100kgs, and haven’t, so I thought I should change my thinking. Getting to 100 is an achievement and should be celebrated. Next mini goal is 98 kgs. This is significant for me, because I had a medical 2 years ago this October and weighed 98 Kgs which is obese, and that was in a report which lots of people read, so quite embarrassing.
But, the following month I finally after many many attempts, managed to stop smoking, and the subsequent weight gain was definitely worth it to be finally free of that demon. It would be brilliant to celebrate the 2 year anniversary at the same weight, or less.
So here goes me, determined to stop the snacking and the seconds and the sugar. But I have already had a brownie this morning, so that’s my treat for the day. Sorry this is long.
Onwards!

Zebracat · 29/09/2020 11:29

Oh yes and back to the plank tomorrow too!

Fitbeforeihit50 · 29/09/2020 13:22

Well done! @Zebracat
@Rebuildingconfidence sometimes that just seems to happen, frustrating as it is. Keep going and hopefully it will show next week.
@Nixi4 sounds like you've had a great time, hope you enjoyed it! As we always say its the getting back on the wagon which is the most important part.

Good luck to all over the coming week Smile

Winningatseesaw · 30/09/2020 00:41

Just popping in to give words od encouragement to everyone. Well done to those who've lost.

Sometimes random gains happen and I usually think they're hormonal.

Well done to all for keeping on keeping on. We all know that this is a marathon not a sprint.

I'm also having a week off weighing. There has been a big birthday in our house this week and because we've been in full lockdown for 8 weeks, I organised lots of food related treats. Really enjoyed it and tried to make it one day only but the cake is still hanging around as well as a few other bits and pieces!

So won't weigh this week and just pick it up next week.

I did have a NSV. A neighbour noticed I'd lost weight and complimented me. That was nice considering no one has noticed so far.

Winningatseesaw · 30/09/2020 00:42

@zebracat great idea with the mini goal - seems really motivating:). You'll be under 100kgs next week for sure!

Zebracat · 30/09/2020 11:53

@Winningatseesaw Thank you. Sneaky weighed today and I was 99.3! Magic, going to really stick at it this week.

Winningatseesaw · 01/10/2020 06:27

@Zebracat WOOOHOOOOOOO Amazing. Well done

Nixi4 · 01/10/2020 20:32

@Zebracat 🥳

Nixi4 · 01/10/2020 20:37

It's certainly very challenging getting back into my lifestyle groove... weather/work are making my steps exceedingly difficult to achieve!! Trying to motivate myself into indoor exercise... on a positive note, whilst it's challenging I'm doing it!!!

Winningatseesaw · 02/10/2020 03:59

Despite my week, I did end up weighing so I could see the damage and move in. 0.8kgs gain. That's ok, I indulged and enjoyed and am back on it. Just hope it comes off next week!

@Nixi4 nice work with your indoor exercise

Winningatseesaw · 05/10/2020 06:28

I officially weigh on Fridays but did a Monday morning weigh in and had put on more!!!

I've been super good over the weekend but am guessing it's just my body catching up with the cake last week.

Wondering if could claw anything back by Friday. Weather is terrible here so difficult to get out and walk. Have been working on planks tho.

Hope everyone had a good weekend

Zebracat · 05/10/2020 08:58

Hi @Winningatseesaw.
Seems like we are both in the doldrums. I’m trying to stay positive about this.I am eating fairly normally at present,I think, and not gaining weight, and that is good and where we all need to be, it’s just come a bit early! I need to be there when I have lost another3-5 stone. And right now, I need to go back to creating a deficit. I think I need to find some way to remind myself of my end goal, and stop saying yes to the instant gratification. And I keep saying I will do those exercises and then not doing them. But still,I’m not snacking all night and I am active, so it could be worse.
My Dh took a photo of me last night, amused because I was surrounded by pets. I looked bloody awful. Maybe I should print it off and stick it to the fridge.Mm

Winningatseesaw · 05/10/2020 12:23

I keep reminding myself that it's a marathon not a sprint.
Need to keep focussing and keep going. Joined the 3kg October challenge so hope that will help

Rebuildingconfidence · 06/10/2020 09:39

Weigh in day for me and back to 103kg, so these odd 2kgs from last week are gone thankfully.

I have a job interview on Thursday so will get back on it after that. My diet has been crap but I have been cycling and walking a lot more!

Send me luck for Thursday!

Winningatseesaw · 06/10/2020 13:22

Wishing you lots of luck for Thursday! Let us know how you get on

And good work with those 2 random kgs!

Fitbeforeihit50 · 07/10/2020 09:36

Hello all

Well done @Rebuildingconfidence!

@Zebracat and @Winningatseesaw don't be too despondant, we all have better and not so good weeks. You're still on it and haven't given up, that's the most important thing. The good old marathon not a sprint could not be more apt.

Late weigh in for me on Weds as I had early starts on Monday and Tuesday and didn't get round to weighing before going out.

0.5kg lost but that takes my BMI under 40 for the first time in years!!! It is 39.8, I am officially obese rather than morbidly obese and officially off the NHS COVID 'clinically vulnerable' list (although I know a smidge under really doesn't magically make me ok!).

Got to celebrate small wins! Next I would like to be 16stone something which is only a kilo away.

Wk 0 - 118.5kg (18st 9lbs)
Wk 1 - 113.5kg (17st 12lbs)
Wk 2 - 113.1kg (17st 11lbs)
Wk 3 - 113.6kg (17st 12lbs)
Wk 4 - 111.5kg (17st 8lbs)
Wk 5 - 111.0kg (17st 7lbs)
Wk 6 - 109.5kg (17st 3.5lbs)
Wk 7 - 109.9kg (17st 4lbs)
Wk 8 - 109.6kg (17st 3.5lbs)
Wk 9 - 110.6kg (17st 6lbs)
Wk 10 - 109.3kg (17st 3lbs)
Wk 11 - 108.9kg (17st 2lbs)
Wk 12 - 109.8kg (17st 4lbs)
Wk 13 - 109.1kg (17st 3lbs)
Wk 14 - 108.6kg (17st 1.5lbs)

Zebracat · 07/10/2020 11:26

Wow @Fitbeforeihit50, under 40 BMI is really not a small win. That is amazing . I have gained a kilo this week , back to 101 and that might be the kick up the bum I need to get going again. Struggling with insomnia though, and there is a known link. I think that there is also an issue because I don’t do the shopping, or take much interest. I need to take a look at the list and swap out any empty calorie items that I like ie Digestives,
toffee crisps, kettle chips and fancy Ice creams for ones I don’t like And then I won’t eat them. So fig rolls, monster munch and cheap cheap icecream here we come. No actually that’s going toO far, no one will eat them. Need to find stuff that’s popular with the others but devil food to me .

Fitbeforeihit50 · 07/10/2020 16:27

Thanks @Zebracat

Although I am confused by some of the rest of your post - Monster munch are tasty Grin! I love good ice cream though, have you tried ice cream like Halo or Ben & Jerry’s moophoria. Both are decent substitutes for the proper stuff I find.

Good luck with your week ahead.

Zebracat · 07/10/2020 17:58

We can never be friends.
Monster munch smell like vomit
