Water is something I really need to up, I've got awful! Literally just drinking three coffees and maybe a glass of water a day Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/05/2020 12:16

Yes I think so. Just had brunch after a long walk.
Who knows what my new job routine will be. Lots of travel when allowed and lots of Skype calls by the looks of the team calendar.

Not2bObvious · 03/05/2020 12:19

Snap, decided on a brunch day as was up early walking - by the time I got home & showered, it was 10.30 so no point in breakfast. Just finished a delicious sambo.
The weather is gorgeous here.

Gooooood morning. Yesterday was a write off Blush definitely starting today. Have a full bottle of water, veg sticks and a protein bar. That's lunch and then dinner is baked chicken breast (mango and chilli) with roasted cauliflower. Have chocolate covered rice cakes for after if I need one (I probably will!) I need to try and reset my appetite. Oh and some strawberries.

Wolfcub · 04/05/2020 07:43

Morning. Scales remaining stubborn

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/05/2020 17:53

Scales are bastard's. I'm inclined not to weight this week and just do min 10k steps and track 1600 ish.

WreckTangled · 05/05/2020 06:59

Think I might need to download MFP again. Yesterday was good I think. I did roasted cauliflower and chickpeas with my chicken for dinner.

Not2bObvious · 05/05/2020 09:03

Haven’t weighed yet either this week, not sure whether I will or not yet. Might wait until tomorrow to let long weekend bloat go? End of the day, if we stick to a calorie deficit we’ll lose weight.
Decision made, no scales today, having a cuppa and starting work

Hi wreck 😀 lovely to see you! Although I’m not sure if you were still on frugaleers when I last changed my name. I still refer to the DCs as the Caglets though 😉

Food not going well still really. Better than before I think but I’m struggling with carb cravings!

Focusing on exercising instead in the hope of just getting generally fitter and keeping myself busy - yesterday I managed two 20min exercise bike sessions, and did my own short workout as well. It was period day 2 (the worst) and normally I’m curled up with a hot water bottle so I’m very pleased with that.

Happierwithouthim · 05/05/2020 14:20

Hi everyone! Welcome back wreck

With not having Fitbit app I'd to manually get my average for last week 166.1. Just going to check if I can input online.

Monday's weight was 166.4 and this mornings 168.8(but after my stomach bloated up and I had a trip to loo so I'm just going to ignore that flux and put it down to that.

Food and steps have been pretty good, I've cut back on snacking a lot. And seem to be more in control.

You'll get there too life seeing 168 copped me on a lot last weekend.

Not2bObvious · 05/05/2020 16:14

Day is going ok, couple of walks today so just over 11,000 - not going to kill myself trying to get 15,000 for this week. Missed hitting my 10,000 by around 900 but I was exhausted and had nothing left in the tank to get them done. Kind of wonder if I can adjust my Fitbit app to stop setting step/calorie burn/distance goal. Not getting a star beside each day gets to me. I’m like a child looking for approval, f* that

Thanks everyone. Today is going fine despite a couple of low sugar level incidents I've managed to treat them without eating the whole kitchen which is no mean feat.

Looking forward to dinner with a chocolate rice cake for afters!

My steps are awful because I've been redeployed to a horrendous admin job.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/05/2020 18:32

Can you ask for a standing desk wreck? They are great for working and stepping. Are you still low carb?

10k steps today got plus a bit. Under 1600 Cal but feeling peckish. Might review and go up to 17 or 18. Let's get control back first.

WreckTangled · 05/05/2020 18:43

No point life it's temporary redeployment. They don't even want us there and usually I'm not doing desk work all day in my normal role.

I'm low carb rather than no carb so today I've had a total of 50g. It's hard to lose weight being low carb (for me) as I tend to eat too much cheese Grin it's fine for maintaining though but I'll see how I do. I'm definitely not eating pasta/bread/potatoes/biscuits/crisps/chocolate etc but I have had a protein bar and two rice cakes. The rest of the carbs are from veg.

Has anyone had the Birdseye veg burgers made with pea protein? I really like them.

Not2bObvious · 05/05/2020 19:02

Managed to lower the bar on the Fitbit app, doesn’t appear to be an option to remove goals. I suppose it makes sense, it being an activity tracker - that point was clearly lost on me earlier. Anyway step/miles/calorie burn dropped to a more manageable level. If I can stick to calories more often than not it might be ok.
Any chance you’d have time/energy to do a stepping for 30 mins in the evening wreck? That’d give you 3,000 steps easy enough. Apologies if I missed something
Better to allow an extra 100-200 if you’re hungry life, I think 1600 is a tiny bit tight for a hungry day. And 10,000 is a decent bit of effort - not surprising you might be hungry.

I'm pretty tired Not will probably just have an early night! Will end on 6k so could be worse.

My Fitbit, that I've only had for maybe six months not even that, keeps switching itself off and on again Angry I'm not sure what to do about it. I emailed Fitbit but they haven't got back to me.

Not2bObvious · 05/05/2020 19:49

6,000 isn’t too shabby at all, wouldn’t worry about it then - sleep wins for sure.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 05/05/2020 21:01

6k steps getting back into it is fine. Have you run it completely flat then done a full charge or was it flat to begin with?
Fitbit Cust service are normally good I think.

Yes. I've gone 73 over. Hit all Marcos. Will see what tomorrow brings and maybe up it

WreckTangled · 05/05/2020 21:05

Yes life I've done that. It's really annoying because it vibrates every time it turns back on but also I have it so it alarms if my sugar level is low or high and sometimes when it's alarming the touch screen won't work so I can't turn the alarm off until it stops and then goes again Hmm I'll give them a few more days to reply then see if I can do an online chat.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/05/2020 21:16

Nightmare. Hopefully they will reply soon

WreckTangled · 06/05/2020 06:38

I went to weigh myself this morning but the batteries have gone. Will replace them later and see the damage tomorrow. Going to have fish cakes with stir fried veg for dinner tonight.

WreckTangled · 06/05/2020 06:47

I've got an email from Fitbit now saying they can't find my account and which email is it linked to. It's linked to the one they emailed Hmm

Not2bObvious · 06/05/2020 08:10

That’s really annoying about the Fitbit wreck, they’re hardly a throw away item at the prices. Hopefully their CS get you sorted soon - despite the initial response they’ve given. I’d say the Fitbit wearing public are putting them through their paces these days! Certainly judging by the number of people I see out walking & running.
I weighed in and I’m up to last weeks highest, of course I did have a 3 day weekend so that delays things a bit. I am trying not to get disproportionately upset about it, trying not to get upset at all. It’s irritating because I just want to say f’it and eat everything. No sense at all. Think I’ll have to just focus on a meal at a time today.

Morning all, room for a (not quite so) little 'un? 😉

Need a kick up the arse so have signed up to MFP this morning, did my first weigh in and took a very unflattering swimming costume photo!

I've 3st 2lbs to lose and sticking to 1600 calories for now, aiming for 10k steps a day too.

Not2bObvious · 06/05/2020 10:17

Plenty of room, nice to have you here yatapina, fair play braving the camera. I live in fear of my photos of various podgy angles being accidentally sent to anyoneBlush
