Welcome founding & new members alike. Jump on board the WoW wagon if you want to be slimmer, healthier, happier and more energetic! You've certainly come to the right place! These threads have been going for sometime now and seem well received. The ladies who post are supportive and inspiring in equal measure. There is no shaming, competition or harsh words.

As no one size fits all members generally follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless we will offer guidance and support if required.

Me personally? I keep on it by calorie counting, logging via MFP app, Intermittent fasting, eating a low carb Mediterranean style diet and staying well hydrated. I can’t emphasise enough the importance of drinking plenty of water. There are so many enjoyable options without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I also rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by walking & swimming.

Interested? Add your name, personal goals, eating/exercise plan etc.

Wednesdays will be WoW (weigh on Wednesday)

@BustedDreams, thanks for checking in. Our colleague's funeral was this week so it's been a hard one. Seeing all their poor family there was so sad. 😓

I did actually WoW this morning. I'm the same as last week, which is fine.

Foreverlexicon · 05/02/2020 15:45

I’m very impressed with myself- yesterday was changeover day only nights and I managed to keep it under 1600 cals. Also had a long ride on the horse and did a 20 minute interval run.

I woke up starving after a few hours sleep today though and had to have a bowl of cereal. Bit annoying as we meet at McDonald’s at 3am on nights and I had room in my calories to get something today but if I do now then calories will be nearer 1800 than 1500 and I want to push it before this weigh in to hit a mini goal!

Not sure if I will exercise today. I want to do the shred but I’ve had under 6 hours sleep so once I’ve done the horses, a nap might win out instead.

NotUnderMyHeart · 05/02/2020 16:21

Hi all,

Some fab results for WoW today! I’ve lost 2.25lbs since last weds. 20.25lbs in total since 6th Jan. Happy but have a long way to go! I’ll be one month into my plan tomorrow so am doing monthly photos (just for my records at the mo! Shock) but hope that soon I’ll start to see a difference in the way I look as well as on the scales.

Keep on keeping on everyone!

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 05/02/2020 16:52

Afternoon WoWers. Quick check in to log another 2lbs loss. 11lbs since Jan 1st. 👍🏻

SunshineCake · 05/02/2020 18:22

Hope you are feeling better now @MrsJonesAndMe. How are you ?

Welcome to our newbies and well done to those who have carried on and lost.

BustedDreams · 05/02/2020 19:09

A warm welcome @dottydolly72. You’ll fit right in. Great ladies who are inspiring and supportive. It’s good you’ve got a plan, that’s half the battle.

@Galvantula Flowers

Fab progress @NotUnderMyHeart! Well done.

@Foreverlexicon sounds like your on fire! Keep at it! Enjoy your ride & nap.

@WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa that’s some progress! Congrats on your loss!

Waves to @SunshineCake ... How are you today?

MrsJonesAndMe · 05/02/2020 20:35

Ah thanks for checking on me @SunshineCake and @BustedDreams I will be fine. I've done OK food wise, but we had pasta bolognaise and garlic bread for tea. I'm the one who shops and cooks Hmm but I was after easy and the mince was in the freezer ready to go.

Some great results WoWers! Sounds like you're doing well @Foreverlexicon to manage the change over in shifts.

(((hug))) @Galvantula that must have been tough.

SunshineCake · 05/02/2020 20:44

Take care @MrsJones.

I'm okay, thank you @BustedDreams. Eating a good variety of food, increased veg potions and everything from scratch. Getting a bit jumpy over exercising Confused but focussed in only weekly weighing. My goal, by March, is to crack into the next stone. Downwards Grin.

NorthernPowermouse · 05/02/2020 21:34

I weighed...no loss. And so tried to stick to OMAD but got too hungry at lunch so had chicken, pasta and garlic bread. Could’ve kicked myself for not substituting the pasta for salad (hadn’t seen it til too late) but never mind. Think I still came in about on calories though, and that and tea was all within 4 hours AND I avoided the cappuccinos today so hopefully not too dreadful.

Well done for all those who’ve lost, hope those who are struggling - with whatever - are ok.

BustedDreams · 06/02/2020 08:33

Good Morning!

Frosty one this morning 🥶 Garden looks quite pretty with a dusting of snowy white crystals.

Stayed on plan yesterday. Kitchen closed 18:00.

Today’s menu
Lunch Homemade soup.
Evening meal fish and vegetables. Strawberries & blueberries with Greek yoghurt.
Drinks. White tea, water and a skinny coffee latte.

Have a good one!

RubySlippers77 · 06/02/2020 10:58

My DTs loved crunching all the ice crystals on their walk to school this morning!

I am really struggling this week (thank you for the good wishes @NorthernPowermouse!) - just can't seem to find my motivation again. Still walking plenty but can't find the energy to be bothered about cooking & eating healthily Sad

MrsJonesAndMe · 06/02/2020 12:20

Still freezing out!

I hear you @RubySlippers77. I need to do the school run and then feed 6 before going out again for after school activities so have gone with burgers (beef) and chips or goujons and chips as only a handful of meals appeal to everyone Hmm

Have a good day everyone, sounds like a good plan @BustedDreams

Foreverlexicon · 06/02/2020 12:31

I didn’t have the best day yesterday. It was a rather emotional shift, I got stuck in custody dealing with a very lively prisoner for hours and the staff took pity on me and broughtme 3 thick slices of granary toast dripping with butter but it was delicious and worth every bite. I had massive cereal cravings onthe way home so I bought some and the serving size was ludicrously small so I ended up eating a bit more than I planned.

However with today’s planned meals, if I spread the calories over the 3 days then it works out at about 1600 per day.

Weigh day will be a day late this set as staying at gfs tonight then going straight to a spa day with a friend tomorrow. Planning to hit the gym and pool for a good workout before we relax!

Won’t have tine to do any formal exercise today apart from a jumping lesson on the horse but hey you can only do what you can do.

SunshineCake · 06/02/2020 14:03

Hello buddies Smile

I didn't weigh this morning. Very proud.

Just diving into home made sour dough and mushroom soup as just taken 80 minutes to do a 15 minute drive home. Lunch very late for my dog Sad but I made it up to her by giving her slightly more lunch, her usual pudding then a treat rodeo stick Grin. Cheeky monkey still eyeing up my bread though !

BustedDreams · 06/02/2020 17:05

Hahahahaha @SunshineCake don’t we just love our pawed loved ones! Does sounds delish though.

MrsJonesAndMe · 06/02/2020 19:38

Gosh, that's bad @SunshineCake. An accident or roadworks?

SunshineCake · 06/02/2020 21:45

It was really delicious. Disappointed so more soup left but I will make asparagus soup tomorrow.

A lorry over turned and it took hours to clean the debris and diesel up.

fallfallfall · 07/02/2020 00:03

the meals have been random as we're clearing out the fridge.
no exercise at the track as we've been busy sorting out; the house, dogs etc.
fly time in about 12 hours so soon i'll be in the UK time zone :).
healthy eating everyone!!
hopefully i packed the right coat (light all weather) and shoes (waterproof trail runners).

BustedDreams · 07/02/2020 07:22

Good morning All

Stayed to plan yesterday. Also got plenty of activity in.

Today’s menu
Lunch home made soup.
Evening meal ? I have several choices but undecided as yet.

@SunshineCake I wasn’t being flippant yesterday I just thought it was funny your dog wanted your lunch after having had his own. Sorry to hear about the diesel spill.

@fallfallfall have you got plenty of layers? Our weather can go from very cool to quite mild all in one day 😯 Have you space for healthy snacks in your handbag? Wishing you a great trip!

@Foreverlexicon those types of days really take it out of you. Hope it’s not as intense for you today.

@RubySlippers77 hope you have a better day today. Sometimes it’s just more difficult than usual. Do you have other stuff going of in your life?

Week 1 of feb nearly over 😮. On the bright side, the nights are drawing out and Spring is around the corner. I have some snow drops out and my daffies are coming up. Birds chirping away. Sounds lovely.

Foreverlexicon · 07/02/2020 07:47

So so day yesterday.

Few hours sleep as coming off nights then I had a bagel thin with jam and a cappuccino.
Had a jumping lesson on the horse for exercise.

Went to the gfs, she fed me parsnip and carrot soup then chicken with stir fry veg. She’d also bought me a cupcake and some flowers as I’d had a rubbish week. I ate it more to please her 🤔 as I’m not really a cupcake person and I had a baileys hot chocolate.

Meals today will be;
B - banana, peanut butter and oat smoothie
Cappucino and pastry at the spa (that’s included and I will indulge!), hopefully that will do for lunch and otherwise I‘ll grab a snack.
Dinner is going to be a sticky garlic and chilli aubergine stir fry dish I found. No idea on calories but should be fairly light.

Exercise - planning to hit the gym at the spa before we relax and will ride this afternoon.

Then weigh day tomorrow! I hope the last couple of days won’t of set me back too much as I’ve had a good set beyond that.

SunshineCake · 07/02/2020 08:01

No probs @BustedDreams. I thought you were agreeing with me she was a cheeky madam Grin.

I cracked this morning and weighed as I felt light. Same as Wednesday. I promise no more weighing until Wednesday but I hereby give notice I'll not be sticking to any kind of healthy eating then as it's my birthday Smile.

Physio today. About to walk my dog then I will try and do a session on the exercise bike.

Have a good day everyone.

BustedDreams · 07/02/2020 09:26

@SunshineCake is it your Birthday today or Wednesday? Happy Birthday 🥳 if it’s today 🎂 Wine 🎁!

I’m reading more & more around fibre and the daily recommendation of 30g a day! I thought I ate my quota yesterday but my intake was only 16g 😮. I’m researching now what would be a perfect day of food, that’s contains 30g fibre and around 1000 calories. This link is a fibre pictorial.

Might cross post as I started this post ages ago Grin

Going back to my very old weight watchers receipt of 'no point soup' so that's bubbling away on the stove ready for re heating for lunch and the weekend.

Been travelling for work the last few days so it's been lots of meal deals at train stations rather than real food.

SunshineCake · 07/02/2020 10:56

It's next Wednesday @BustedDreams.

I'm hungry but the main feeling has passed and I've resisted the cherry tomato that said eat me. Lost my lovely list of all the soups I wanted to make so have to do that again but I've got asparagus soup simmering on the hob.

BustedDreams · 07/02/2020 11:28

Sounds interesting @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50. Would you be able to post the recipe please? Pretty please Grin

@SunshineCake do you do anything special on your Birthday?
