Welcome founding & new members alike. Jump on board the WoW wagon if you want to be slimmer, healthier, happier and more energetic! You've certainly come to the right place! These threads have been going for sometime now and seem well received. The ladies who post are supportive and inspiring in equal measure. There is no shaming, competition or harsh words.

As no one size fits all members generally follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless we will offer guidance and support if required.

Me personally? I keep on it by calorie counting, logging via MFP app, Intermittent fasting, eating a low carb Mediterranean style diet and staying well hydrated. I can’t emphasise enough the importance of drinking plenty of water. There are so many enjoyable options without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I also rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by walking & swimming.

Interested? Add your name, personal goals, eating/exercise plan etc.

Wednesdays will be WoW (weigh on Wednesday)

Had the new Quaker perfect blends porridge for breakfast and it was very nice and kept me full till lunch at midday with no need for snacks.

Only 215 calories if made with semi skimmed, I used skimmed but it doesn't give the count on the box for that Grin

Hello busted
I’m taking Feb off from my consistent walking routine.
I’m still making good (my idea of well rounded) food choices.
Lots to do,72 hrs till go time. I’ve cheated and passed on a nearly completed knitting project to an expert. One more paper craft project needs to get finished and 5 dozen jars of honey to make up.
Oh, guests popping by tonight; salad, French onion soup and apple pie on the menu.

SheepSocks · 04/02/2020 16:25

Can I ask for opinion? I'm trying to figure out why my weight isn't shifting. Is weetabix the wrong breakfast choice? I have 2 biscuits in warm water.

BustedDreams · 04/02/2020 17:34

Hi @SheepSocks I’ve pmd you. I’m happy to advise further.

@SunshineCake that soup recipe looks delish 😋

@TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 if I ever have a cereal, porridge is my go to. That Quaker one looks appetising but sadly, I suspect it isn’t gluten free.

Foreverlexicon · 04/02/2020 17:43

@SheepSocks nothing wrong with weetabix! What are you eating the rest of the time?

I had a good day yesterday;
B - protein bar
L - pita with ham, cheese and salad. Packet of sunbites
S - Apple
D - bolognaise sauce over spinach
S - bagel thin with butter and jam.
Rode the horse and get my steps in at work.

Today is going well so far but moving onto nights so trying hard to keep my calories in check today as often struggle here. It’s weigh day on Friday and I really want to of lost 2.5lb to bring me up to 7lb lost in 4 weeks but we will see!

SheepSocks · 04/02/2020 18:08

@BustedDreams - thank you. I think I have replied 🙈

SheepSocks · 04/02/2020 18:18

@Foreverlexicon I'm going to be very honest here and put down everything. As I do sneak few treats in, I'm prepared to be told to stop the treats. I need some tough love!

Breakfast- weetabix with hot water (I just like the taste better) a Nescafé ginger bread latte
Snack - apple
Lunch - home made soup, with a boiled egg or avocado
Snack - Banana and one naughty biscuit from the stash at work
Dinner - a recipe from the lean in 15 with joe wicks, or the 15 minute vegan on a budget book.
Bad Habit - one twirl or wispa or sometimes a Bakewell tart

I tend to have about 3 cups of tea a day and drink nowhere near enough water

fallfallfall · 04/02/2020 18:43

sheep your meals sound healthy and certainly not calorie laden. After all healthy eating, loosing and maintaining is a long game. If your exercising enough that your a touch sore. Those muscles are sore because they are holding fluids (rebuilding) even a cardio workout will lead to as much as 3 days of no loss. Patience is a virtue with weight loss.

SunshineCake · 04/02/2020 18:48

Hi everyone

After two dog walks and 1.5 exercise bike sessions (will do the other half at seven when my dinner has settled, did the first half while it was cooking) I may need help not eating my feelings tonight. Found out earlier a friend husband has died. I don't see her much but when we do it is lovely and I am just so sad for her, their children and his very elderly father.

SheepSocks · 04/02/2020 20:05

Thank you @fallfallfall the core class I went to yesterday was intense. I was the only one there, so the instructor shouted lots of motivational stuff at me. My tummy and thing muscles are on fire!

Are you supposed to exercise then again when they feel like this? As you can tell I know very little about fitness.

fallfallfall · 04/02/2020 20:10

I worked with an excellent PT, and the next day was either a rest day or different muscle groups.

MrsJonesAndMe · 04/02/2020 20:22

Have a safe flight @fallfallfall

Think I've done OK considering. New day tomorrow.

NorthernPowermouse · 04/02/2020 21:33

Thanks for the recipe SunshineCake, I’ll try it this weekend. Sorry to hear about your friend’s husband, that’s really rubbish.

I stuck to OMAD today - spag bol, banana, satsuma, banana muffin (home made, sugar free and tiny) and then a few squares of chocolate that had been brought in to work. Pilates tonight and some herbal tea. I do have a cappuccino in the morning though, I fear that might have to stop.

All packed fallfallfall? Safe trip.

Sheepsocks - looks ok to me. Maybe try cutting out the snacks for a bit to see if anything shifts? Though I’m one to talk, I’m still eating chocolate most days 🙈.

Might join you Wowing tomorrow, good luck everyone!

RubySlippers77 · 04/02/2020 22:02

That recipe sounds delicious @SunshineCake, thank you!

Fell into a large pizza today Sad think I'm very fed up with not losing more weight. Oh, and there was a muffin involved too. Tomorrow should be a better day...

Weigh in Wednesday and my best week yet for absolutely no reason at all. I've lost 900g (2lbs) which brings the total lost to 5.1kg. Very happy with that.

BustedDreams · 05/02/2020 10:06

Great result @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50!

@2020newme keep the faith! It’ll happen.

Morning (just!) all Smile

WOW

Last Wednesday 12 stone 3
Today 12 stone 2.4.

Happy, as when I weighed with just DH looking I went up to 12 5.

Maybe this is the benefit of weekly weighing..

@RubySlippers77 hopefully you enjoyed the pizza and muffin and today is another day. Next time you are sad about weight how about you paint your nails, have a pamper session, do some gardening, all things unrelated to food so no more over calories maybe ?

Well done to everyone for trying.

Unexpected downside of IF is my food is running our sooner as less meals being had.

MrsJonesAndMe · 05/02/2020 13:45

Hi all, well done on most of the WOW going well...

I weighed yesterday at 13.5kg/29.7lbs down. Struggling today with emotional stuff, but I'm sure I will pick myself up and get on with life.

Will catch up with you all later.

dottydolly72 · 05/02/2020 13:50

Can I jump in and join you all. Weighed in this morning at 9.12. Should be more like 9!!

I did join the original thread in January. I did however decide to focus on dry Jan which I completed and have decided to continue to 100 days.. maybe more who knows! But now I need to focus on weight loss a little more.. interestingly I've lost zero weigh in wine 🤨 so here I am back to checking in. Opting to for IF coupled with MFP.

I look forward to getting to know you all x
