Banting is my favourite old fashioned word. Means slimming, and I got it from Agatha Christie Grin

WellErr that's fantastic and my dream weight! Octopus are you 8,6 or have I misread?

Porpoises · 10/02/2020 08:55

Back up again today, after a fairly food-filled weekend away. But still marginally better than two weeks ago when I started. So I guess this is the level I need to maintain; to consistently lose will have to cut down a bit or be stricter about days off.

jelly79 · 10/02/2020 09:11

Wow @WellErrrthe just brilliant!

everycowandagain · 10/02/2020 09:41

Hi everyone! I had a more relaxed weekend after a very stressful week, had some good food, didn't go too overboard but definitely wasn't in a calorie deficit. Feel like I have caught up on some sleep and am ready to get back on it.

Weighed in at 134.8 this am, up as expected but I am sure it will reverse as the week goes on. I don't feel like I have added much back on, still did my workout Fri and PT session on Sat and am seeing some real muscle definition emerging!!

everycowandagain · 10/02/2020 09:45

My plan for the week is:

1500 calories /day plus usual workouts most days

Track EVERYTHING on MFP

Eat a proper breakfast and drink plenty of water

Loads of vegetables

No guilt or shame, there is no such thing as failing at this, any 'off plan' meals/snacks/days are what they are, I will just get straight back on it without writing off the rest of they day

everycowandagain · 10/02/2020 09:46

Oh and, as already said down thread, eat slowly! It really does make a difference.

ndo4000 · 10/02/2020 10:29

Today is a new day! Had a warm pitta (eaten s l o w l y) for breakfast so currently only on 206 including coffee.

Now just need to get through playgroup without eating biscuits.....

Patchworksack · 10/02/2020 10:44

Morning all! 9st6 this morning and determined to lose this week! AF has gone now which means I am feeling better. I had a lovely weekend with my friend and enjoyed my food - roast chicken and chorizo - not featuring in anybody's diet! A pound a week off for the next fortnight would get me to my initial goal of 9st4 /10lb off and I'll see how I feel then. Two runs with a friend planned for this week plus parkrun on Saturday and am going to stick to my 16:8 and sensible choices. Have a good day, everyone.

Twixes · 10/02/2020 13:42

I had a bit of a blip over the weekend. Weekends are sooooo hard, waaah. I did manage a spin class both days but I didn't track and I ate pizza, wine, custard, cake...A WHOLE PACKET OF TURKEY SAUSAGES (low cal though, right?!)

On the positive side of things my weigh in at the gym this morning had me down 1kg but is higher than what I'm getting at home. That gym scales is mental. How I can eat all that crap and be down a kilo is a mystery to me.

Anyway, no more crap and I'm focused now for the week ahead. Track every last morsel, do 4 gym class and get down another lb! I can do this Grin

DontFundHate · 10/02/2020 13:56

Well done losers and fingers crossed for this week for those of us who have put on a little.

I've put on 1lb this week, not too bad considering AF is starting and the awful week I've had!

TheHoundsofLove · 10/02/2020 15:37

I hope everyone is having a good kickstart to the week! I’m having a fast day with macaroni cheese (I always add loads of spinach to boost the veg count) for dinner later. It’s felt pretty easy today - I’ve been busy and haven’t even really felt hungry. I will definitely enjoy my dinner though!

Octopus37 · 10/02/2020 16:22

Heygirl, in my dreams am I 8st6, obviously its a wishful thinking typo, I was 9st6 this morning. Todays food

Oats and nuts (315)
Twirl bar (228)
Graze sirrachi snack (119)
Graze protein flapjack (243
Dinner with be Asda Singapore Noodles (386)
If I stick to it with be1291 which for me is very good. Lots of tea water needed. Would love to be 9.4.5 by the end of the week

Heygirlheyboy · 10/02/2020 17:55

Or a sign of things to come!!

Octopus37 · 11/02/2020 07:29

Thanks Heygirl, not sure I could ever get that low again but we'll see. Was 9.4.75 this morning, starting to see a pattern to the peaks and troughs. I did eat some LoveCorn on the way back from a very cold football match last night, which took my calories up to about 1480. Just eating my usual breakfast. Have a good day all

DontFundHate · 11/02/2020 09:48

Today's plan

B - one piece fruit toast with banana
L - wrap pizza
D - veggie packed spag bol with wholemeal spag

Will try not to snack today to save up for sugar fest event on Sunday!!

DontFundHate · 11/02/2020 09:49

Hmm I also might skip my weekly takeaway too, that might help!

Maybe...!

TheHoundsofLove · 11/02/2020 11:40

Dont This impending sugar fest sounds intriguing...

Canklesforankles · 11/02/2020 12:21

I’m down another 0.5kg or 1lb down so 1.7kg in total.
My initial goal was 2kg so I think I will aim for another 1 or 2.

Twixes · 11/02/2020 12:35

Yeah I want to know more about the sugar party :)

Things are mediocre here. After all my talk yesterday I didn't do great. And I still haven't entered anything to MFP since last Friday, eeek. Will get back on it today.

I've managed to do pretty intense exercise 4 days in a row so that has to count for something. I'm taking a gym break until the weekend so I need to stay on the straight and narrow with food .

Patchworksack · 11/02/2020 14:29

Well done Cankles!

DontFundHate · 11/02/2020 15:15

Well done @Canklesforankles

Great exercise @Twixes

Haha have I made it sound very exciting?! Lots of my friends and I get together for valentine's to eat lots and lots and lots and lots of cake, and then some more cake and maybe a little bit more cake. And some cake. Grin

ndo4000 · 11/02/2020 18:01

Checking in! Yesterday went pretty well. Managed to keep the snacking under control and came in at about 1300 which I was pleased with.

Today was ok, I might have snacked in a few too many of my almonds.... still coming in under target though.

I am finding that I have drunk a LOT of tea!!!!

Weigh in on Sunday.....

Porpoises · 11/02/2020 21:39

Well done everyone.

Following @DontFundHate's recommendation I have batch cooked a veg-filled mince. Also a parsnip soup. Feeling proud Smile

Stuck pretty much to healthy food the last couple of days, I've been working from home which makes it much easier as there are fewer temptations. Not sure if I'm getting it right portion wise, l've been basically eating as much as I want but not sugary or processed food. Will see what the scales says as time goes on.

DontFundHate · 11/02/2020 21:43

Yay well done @Porpoises

Baking is my downfall yet again. Made some more things ahead of the event, I made two tarts, one went very wrong and was really ugly so decided we would eat that ourselves to "taste test" it to make sure the other was up to scratch, it was so delicious that we almost polished it all off. I'm feeling so full still. No more baking now!! Really seriously considering not having the weekly takeaway now, though that would be a big change for us and not sure dp would agree Grin

everycowandagain · 12/02/2020 07:03

Morning all, I predictably have popped back down to 132.4 so down 2.4lb since Monday, proving that fluctuations are normal and do reverse if you don't go too crazy for too long!!

Am now only 0.2lb above my lowest weight since Jan and have done pretty well the last 2 days sticking to my 1500 calories a day. Onwards and downwards!

Have a good day all.
