Well done jnbsmum, it's a huge help when your other half is so supportive isn't it?? My dh has been brilliant while I've been on this diet. Each week he tells me how proud he is of me which IMO is a great incentive to keep going that and the fact the diet is £45 a week!!!!

PuffTheMagicDragon · 24/11/2004 15:21

That's fantastic jnbsmum - well done .

miam · 25/11/2004 11:52

Just wanted to let you know that I am feeling very proud of myself! Have lost 2lbs this week so far (weigh in on Fri) and have 1lb to go to have lost a stone!! That will be 2st in total whoopee! Went mad this morning and threw out all my stretchy baggy skirts and humungous tops - what a great feeling. Then went through the wardrobe and found loads of skirts that I can actually get into now. So keep keep going girls - it really is worth it and if I can do it so can you! Only another stone and a bit to go.......

PuffTheMagicDragon · 25/11/2004 13:57

Well done miam .

There's some poundage being lost on this thread!

bran · 25/11/2004 14:13

Miam and jnbsmum - well done, you're doing great.

Monkeygirl, I have scales in my bathroom and I weigh myself everyday, usually just before I get into the shower. I know that you're not supposed to, but I really enjoy seeing the difference between now and when I started and I don't really pay any attention to fluctuations (I can go up or down by about 4 lbs) so I don't think it's endangering my diet. Also my scales are the memory kind, it remembers what your last weight was so my dh could see what I weigh just by pressing my button, although I don't know if he ever has, he seems to prefer to judge my weight-loss in a more hands on way .

I lost 2.5 lbs at last night's weigh-in (in ordinary trousers, not jeans) and the past week has been much easier as I haven't had any sugar at all, and virtually all my carbs were complex and therefore I had no cravings. I've even stopped buying Skinny Cows, although they are very low in points they were giving me the taste for more sweet things.

Ok I am back having been called fatty in the street yesterday I NEED TO GET THINNER!

I am 11 stone and want to be 10 stone. I am also slightly miffed that I still have size 18 trousers that fit when I am a 14 in skirts!!

miam · 25/11/2004 22:51

Jenni - saw from your other thread that you have already lost 3 stone!!!!! Wow wow and more wows! You shouldnt find it hard to lose that last stone. And you are NOT FAT!!!!! If you are, then so am I and most of the population. I have just over a stone to lose too - will be slow-going I think. We'll all get there eventually though!

miam · 26/11/2004 08:05

lost that lb today and have now lost a stone!!!! Soooooo happy. That is 2st altogether - I am wasting away (not)!! Now to focus on the next stone.....

bran · 26/11/2004 10:39

You're not fat Jennisaurus (11 stone is my target weight!!), that person in the street was obviously socially inept or so lacking in self-confidence that they can only make themselves feel good by comparing others unfavourably to themselves, and that's just sad.

jnbsmum · 26/11/2004 13:45

Hello everyone. Hope everyone is well.
I'm sorry but i need a moan/rant whatever you want to call it.

I really need to get myself up at the moment. Inside my head i'm having a really hard time. Ive actually lost 2 stone excactly since july. 13lbs of that on ww. My weight loss is going fantastic and my stomach is really going down. Well thats great i hear you all say...Well it is but in my head i'm thinking surely this cant get any better. I've been so big for so long that my head thinks Ive done what i need to do iyswim. I cant seem to get my head ariound the fact that i can get slimmer. This is the thinnest ive been in 4 yrs. I'm still at least 4 1/2 stn off target and that just seems so far away. Is it really possible to be slim after youve been so fat for so long.
Does anyone else ever feel like this?
Sorry for the rant but i just feel so confused.

Btw i'm not stepping of the band wagon. Im still sticking to my points every day. Not reached for the chocs yet. Thanks for listening. jnb

jnbsmum · 26/11/2004 13:47

Btw does anyone else think we might need to satr a new thread soon. This ones getting a bit long

champs · 26/11/2004 14:33

hi jnb, I know what you mean excactly I have been big all my adult life and my teens aswell so I too wonder if I will ever be slim and healthy. But you have proved that you can loose weight so keep it up. you can and will do it. Take each stone one lb at a time.
Are you on dial-up? i haven't noticed the slowness, I will start a new thread tho.
