Desperately need to lose this weight. I can't use the excuse of I've just had a baby because DS will 5 in November!! 4 years ago I only needed to lose 1.5 stone, now it's 2.5. Would like to do something along the lines of low fat/low calorie diet, with exercise 3 or 4 times per week, but really do need a bit of support, as I tend to weaken very easily....

Would anyone like to join me, with a weekly weigh-in, day to day support etc?

I have box of Green and Black's chocolate Ice lollies that I will just have to finish this weekend, snow.

snowwonder · 11/08/2007 09:18

well it would be rude not to..... enjoy...

LoveMyGirls · 11/08/2007 09:26

I have been building up slowly havent actually timed myself on it yet though so may find i cant actually manage half hour but i will do my best and build it up! I have however managed to learn how to jump and touch my feet with my hands then bounce onto my knees and back up again - i was impressed with that! (im 11.4 stone and aged 25 and not fit at all!)

Bubble99 · 11/08/2007 09:31

Monday morning weight posting is a good idea.

I haven't actually got any working scales, such is the extent of my denial.

I last weighed myself on MIL's scales.

Hmm. I'll need a trip to argos today to buy some more.

missgriss · 11/08/2007 09:34

Can I join in too? I've been on a diet for 2 months and have lost 16lbs, but I have been stuck at 12 stones for the past 2 weeks. I need some motivation to get me down to 11 stone mark.

I also need to get rid of my wrinkly fat belly.

Bubble99 · 11/08/2007 09:54

Of course! And well done for losing so much already.

Fimbles5 · 11/08/2007 09:59

So looks like Monday morning weigh-in then. Red wine will be a problem for me too, but I reckon if I actually manage to cut out all the rubbish I eat in a day, one glass in the evening cannot do me much harm. I have posted for help on here before, if this doesn't work, I have got to the point where I think I may have to consider going to Doctor. Some may think this sounds ridiculous, but I am a serious binge eater and cannot seem to stop. Monday will be a major challenge for me, so need all the support I can get. Thanks everyone.

Bubble99 · 11/08/2007 10:24

Good luck, Fimbles5.

See you on Monday morning, if not before.

snowwonder · 11/08/2007 11:18

fimbles i have a major food issue to...

so i am with you......

ik am patetic, i am allready wondeering how much i can eat before the healthy me arrives, and as soon as i tell myself i am on a diet i want more and more

AnAngelWithin · 11/08/2007 12:59

hello can i join in? I have been feeling miserable about my weight for some time now. DH reckons he likes me 'the way I am' even though I am 3 stone heavier than I was when he met me. So 10 years and 4 kids later, I am ready to crack on and get rid of it all now!! I have put on half a stone in the past 2 weeks due to being put on medication for my migraines which is playing havoc with my appetite. I am having a weekend of eating what I like. I went shopping last night and bought lots of chicken breasts and jacket potatoes. It is picking in the day that i'm a bugger for!!

fedda · 11/08/2007 13:32

Hello, could I please join in? I've been upset about my weight gain for some time now eating for pleasure, being upset or even being happy - any excuse! I need to loose 2 pounds. I'm happy to start any day and I'd appreciate a group support.

Thunderpants · 11/08/2007 18:33

Ooh didn't expect that many messages! My plan is to eat three healthy meals a day, low fat and around 1400 calories. Plus 3 sessions or so of exercise. Monday morning weigh-in is a great idea. See you all there - just off to have pizza

OP posts:
Thunderpants · 11/08/2007 18:34

BTW that's 3 sessions a week, not each day!

I'd love to join in too. I actually started trying to be more careful with my food choices last week and have already lost 3lbs. I am still having wine in the evening but have cut out all the assorted crap I used to inhale without thinking.

I bought a treadmill on ebay last week and it is really excellent and folds to nothing....I was fit and curvy until our local gym closed early in the year so I'm sure that regular exercise will help me shift the lard.

Lizzzombie · 11/08/2007 22:34

miss griss - 16lbs is amazing! thats like 2 x average babies. Wow!
I'll be here on Monday morning.
Am pigging out the rest of the weekend to build up to it!
Mmm curry.

Bubble99 · 12/08/2007 20:40

Bought my scales today. All set for the weigh-in tomorrow.

I've kept the receipt because, of course, I'm going to be standing there tomorrow morning shouting...

"No waaaaaay! These must be faulty."

AnAngelWithin · 12/08/2007 20:48

i bought some digital weight watchers scales from argos yesterday. having my last pig out night tonight I am going to miss my ceese on toast and hot chocolate at night!!!

AnAngelWithin · 12/08/2007 20:48

CHEESE on toast even. oops!!

Bubble99 · 12/08/2007 20:53

AAW. What are you going to have for brekky tomorrow?

PatsyCline · 12/08/2007 20:58

Can I start tomorrow too? I had a really healthy start to the year, but I have piled most of the weight I lost back on and I feel really sluggish.

Patsy

Bubble99 · 12/08/2007 21:00

Of couse, Patsy.

Weigh-in here tomorrow. I'm planning to weigh myself first thing, before I've even had a drink, but after a wee.

snowwonder · 12/08/2007 21:16

great plan....

i will be posting my weight and then running away to blush in the corner....

Bubble99 · 12/08/2007 21:25

snow. No need to blush because we will be doing something about it.

And I suspect I'm going to be one of the heaviest.

fedda · 12/08/2007 22:01

I wonder if corn flakes with milk is okay for breakfast.

Bubble99 · 12/08/2007 22:10

Absolutely fine. If with s/skimmed allow yourself a half pint to use each day (and take the milk for your cornflakes out of that half pint.)

Also, have a banana (if you like them, if not a different piece of fruit) with the cornflakes.

If with skimmed milk you can have a pint a day.

And don't go mad with the cornflakes, either.
