New thread!

Well it looks like I'm 3lb up on pre holiday weight so that's pretty good. I've been on damage control the last few days so will do my best to keep focused (pesky Oreo thins getting in the way!)

Here's to a lighter September for us all!

Excellent news on the newly non straining dresses quim. You are living the dream!

Poor that loss is bloody brilliant! There is nothing like a big loss to kickstart some motivation.

Slap up Sunday lunch at ours yesterday for DM's birthday which was delicious but v calorific. Back on it today though!

Days hello and yes sometimes I feel like I don't do anything different but it all falls apart, I suppose that balances out when it almost seems effortless (that is very much not often!)

Sorry if I've missed anyone, phones been playing up.

You can do it last!

Ran today, it was awful and walked a large portion of it but at least I did the distance. Went riding after work, hack was good, jumping field was not a success!

Going to run again tomorrow and make myself do 6k. Food was good today though

Welcome back days! I absolutely have good stretches and rubbish ones; my last "slump" lasted from last December until about a month ago Blush I am back on a roll now though, there's no real accounting for it - sometimes you have to just let the motivation come when it will! My arse-kick was due to being at the absolute top of my comfy weight before I went on holiday, so things became urgent. I think your reposting here is your turning point Smile

lasty you can join us on the arse-kick wagon! Your food day sounds totally platinum, and with a run AND a gym sesh that'll definitely get things moving!

Red sometimes the energy just isn't there - the run plus the ride is a very impressive exercise day though, backslap from me. And I bet you're on fire tomorrow!

I made a slow cooker chicken chilli for dinner this evening. I've been jonesing for it for a couple of weeks but it's not the lightest meal so I kept polishing my halo and having veg and protein. Went a bit mad with it, it was so good! Thankfully the husband snaffled most of the grated cheese and saved me from myself a bit...!

Haven't lit the world alight with my stepping but still hoping for a loss on Friday.

Good work last

I was 2.5lb lighter this morning than I was yesterday so very pleased with that.

I was supposed to be running tonight but I've had to make the decision to have my dog put down tomorrow so I'm going to stay in and give her cuddles.

Oh my God Red that is so so awful, I'm so sorry Sad We had our old man put down last year, he was 17 which meant he'd had good innings, but also meant he was absolutely part of the family, and it really felt that way, so I truly sympathise. Sending you tea and Flowers

Thanks quim, she's 15 so has had a very long full life. Crumbled and have scoffed biscuits today but think it's justified. I've been up in the night with the dog the last two nights so was too tired to run today but walked to nursery and back to pick up DS2 so got good steps at least

Thank you quim. It's done now.
Health eating has gone out of the window today. Going to see Fleabag live at the cinema tonight so there will be popcorn.

Sounds like a good plan to take your mind off things Red - a good laugh and a good dose of sugar is just the medicine Smile

I meant to congratulate you and lasty on your losses too! 2.5lbs is a really dramatic overnight drop, and losing 1lb within minutes of getting back on the wagon must be a boost last!

Ello Yikes that sounds painful! If it's both feet it must be the boots, are they new? Very strange, and definitely back to the comfy flats tomorrow. Sometimes these things just happen - I wore a pair of sandals a few weeks ago that I lived in last summer, and got a colossal blister between my big and second toe on the sole of both feet Confused I had to lance them as I couldn't walk, and there's still a big patch of missing skin where they were! Bizarre!

DH just finished a huge plate of lasagne and I was so jealous but held fast and about to have a miso soup. I'm cautiously optimistic for tomorrow Smile

Ello it's taken me 3 years to enjoy running!

Ate loads of crap yesterday but it needed to be done. I am firmly back on the wagon today. Got some spectacular new leggings yesterday so I'll be going for a run today

Ello that really is odd - I wonder if it could be something to do with your achilles tendon tightening or something? It might be worth looking into sooner rather than later? Great news on the yoga though, do you mind if I ask which video you used? I'd love to do that! And I've never managed to enjoy running either Grin In my head I love it and am brilliant at it, and I get "runner's high" and it destresses me and all that. In reality my nose runs constantly, my ears and head throb like mad, I sweat like a fiend and I hate every second of it. I quite enjoyed it when I used to do it on the treadmill though, I think the numbers boosted me, and obviously it's well known that it's quite a lot easier. One day I'll rejoin a gym...

Red woah, lovely snazzy leggings! They're absolutely brill, they might even get me out the door! Comfort eating is 100% essential right now. In my opinion dieting is for mundane times, and should be thought about when you really might as well, not during exceptional times, good or bad.

I've only lost 100g Angry How the jeff is that even possible? Hoping it's just a blip and it'll catch up with me next week. I'm still happy with the number on the scale though, and it's still the smallest number I've ever seen on the scale (if only by .1!) so I mustn't complain.

Just caught up with the thread. Red so sorry to hear your news. Look after yourself Flowers. It's such an awful thing to have to go through.

Not much to report here. I'm away for the weekend and have been eating out a lot but I'll get back on it on Monday. I'm hovering around 11 3 so a good week will have me back in the healthy BMI bracket.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Oh and I forgot to say I do Yoga with Adrienne. It's on YouTube and it's free. I really enjoy it but don't do it often enough for all my creaky joints Sad

Well, this weekend (from the awful Thursday really) has been a write off. I've done plenty of running but have eaten anything not nailed down. Bit of a one off week though so I'm ready to get back on it tomorrow. New week, fresh start.

Thank you for all the sympathy guys. My lovely MIL bought me a couple of plants in remembrance of Ddog so I've planted those and feel ready to get on with life now.

I'm coming back again.
Been eating my feelings and things have to change. About to set alarm to remind me to come and post on here. So much weight has gone on and I'm so annoyed with myself. It's all too easy.
I'm off to set alarm. Confused

Hello. Back from NY. On Wednesday but of course had to wait to Monday to start. And weigh. Very depressing. Have gained 1st 8 lbs in the last year. Soooo angry at myself.

Well done in great losses for you lot though.

I am starting back today. Decided to go with low carbing as DH suggested it and he will do it too. Except that what that actually means is that some evening meals he will low carb with me and others not. And he won’t low carb breakfast or lunch. Hmm. I have done low carb before. Lots of times. Usually end up feeling a bit off. I think it’s because I have too much dairy and eggs. So I’m planning loads of veg. Limit the dairy and eggs. So we will see how it goes.

Today’s menu plan is

Breakfast - scrambled eggs with cherry tomatoes
Lunch - chicken and avocado salad
Dinner - pork stroganoff with green beans

I’m going to do low carb this week and see how I go. If I feel off I’ll switch back to calorie counting.

Red - sorry to hear about your dog. Bet he has left a huge hole.
