New thread!

Well it looks like I'm 3lb up on pre holiday weight so that's pretty good. I've been on damage control the last few days so will do my best to keep focused (pesky Oreo thins getting in the way!)

Here's to a lighter September for us all!

In was 85kg on the last day of April after I gave birth to my second child.
I'm now 67kg and I'm absolutely going to be 64kg by 1st December! Another month! Feels a long time but it will be worth it!

Well done on the losses everyone! Kick I think that's great progress, especially if you haven't been the goldenest food-wise! The running really seems to cover a multitude of sins, it must feel pretty good to know you can let your hair down a bit and still lose or at least not gain.

Peri it is impossible not to eat comfort food when you feel vile, I've been doing it all weekend. Thankfully feeling better now but so hungry today, so I'm paying the price...

RedLips that's wonderful progress for the month, well done Smile Will you be starting the new thread tomorrow?

Wonder how @poorpaws is feeing? Come and tell us you're still alive!

Morning all.

Not been too bad since Thursday. Doing 16-8. Still had wine and crisps though! But. Am down 2.2 pounds. Happy with that!

It’s not a loss for the month as I gained over the month. But it’s going in the right direction.

Was planning on starting the Fast 800 today but I have a chest infection thingie which started on Friday. Coughing like a 40 a day smoker. Feel bleurgh. And all I want is toast and honey......... Have come back to bed with a cuppa instead.

Kick 2lb off over the month is good going.

I am 12 7.5 this morning so that's 3.5 off this month which I'm over the moon about tbh!

Just popping back in because I fell off the thread Sad

Not much to report. I'm definitely not slimmer of the month. I haven't been particularly golden for a while but I've been doing lots of running.

I have been around 11.2 for a couple of weeks now so 2lb down from the start of the month. I'd be happy to end the month there.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Quim yep I'm back in the challenges! Smashing it today so far with Zumba and the run to and from.

I think if you weigh in weekly then the difference between the last four weigh ins sounds right? I'm not get with numbers either though!

Oh Red I'm not worried about it being fair or anything, just being a mathematical dunce! I feel like if I always weigh from the first Friday to the last, then will whatever loss I incur between the last Friday of each month and the first Friday of the next never be "clocked"? Not that it matters hugely Grin

YAY for the Fitbit! Does that mean we'll see your wee face on the challenges again?

Quim it's very hard to work out the best way for slimmer of the month. I'm tempted to say the lowest weigh in in the first week and lowest in the last week so it doesn't matter what day people weigh but I'm not sure that's quite right!

Ps I’d be interested to hear about the 2:2:3 plan. You could inbox me if everyone is tired of hearing about it Grin

Nice one Quim so satisfying when you lose some isn’t it. When do you all do your weigh ins?

Report
QuimReaper · 27/09/2019 09:46

400g down this week Smile I'm happy with that! That's 1.4kg off since my first weigh-in of the month, and 2.5kg since my last weigh-in of last month. I think for the purposes of Slenderista of the Month challenge I should take it from first weigh-in to last so I'm always (except one month of the year) doing the difference between four weigh-ins; does that make sense?

Or should it account for the whole month, i.e. take it from the last weigh-in of August to the last weigh-in of September rather than including the first 6 days in Sep as 'last month'?

HAPPY FRIDAY SLENDERISTAAAAS!

BOOP JESUS! How the hell have you been walking around on it?! You are hard as NAILS, you lunatic! What's the deal now then? A boot or anything, or just rest?

P.S. FNAR Wink

Bloodycats I follow a few foodie people on Instagram and bookmark things when I see something that tickles my fancy, but I never post food pics myself. If you start one I'd love to follow it though! I'm woefully repetitive in my cooking, I'm always after new inspiration.

I'm a 5:2er! Actually, I follow what is known round these parts as Quim's Patented 2:2:3 Plan, but I've bored everyone with it 8 squillion times so I'll wait until you ask before I post it again Grin 5:2 is great though - it really helped me get to grips with my hunger, and taught me how to get the biggest bang for my buck calorie wise. I've got a friend on it too and she's lost over a stone and looks terrific. It takes a bit of trial and error to work out how it best works for you, but once you get into the groove it's really quite effortless.

Peri I've been experimenting with longer fasts, and I am convinced it's really helped. I find that Dr Fung guy very convincing regarding insulin spikes. Are you doing 800 every day, or easing in?

Hello just a quick in and out (oo er!) so I have chipped a bone in my ankle Shock. I've been walking on it for 3 weeks. I'm either really stupid or really hard - you decide!

Has anyone got an Instagram for their meals etc? I was thinking of making one, insta can be great for low cal meal ideas.

I’ve been on a healthy kick for a couple of months now but had a few personal issues that meant I found it hard to keep it up as much as I’d like, but I’ve been on track with diet and exercise for 3 weeks (ish) now. I think I’m just falling in to the trap of wanting results immediately, need to give my head a shake.
Thinking of trying the 5:2 also but don’t want to overload myself. Is anyone else doing it, or something similar?

Well done on your steps quim! You could always trying running up and down the stairs for a quick blast.

Hi all.

Still here. A bit up and down consistency wise.

Had a read of the Fast 800 book last night and think I will give that a go. Planning on starting on Monday. In preparation for starting I’m doing 16-8 in the meantime. Went well today so far although I was hungry. I never used to need breakfast but I seem to get hungry in the mornings now.

So @Elloello if you are still around I will be joining you!

Quim good work on dodging the rain! My new Fitbit arrives tomorrow, I've missed it!

I agree weighing in the evening is not ideal. When I was on mat leave I went to a 9:30 group so that was better. I'm very attached to my current group though and I've made some close friendships there so that keeps me going as much as anything. I do also weigh pretty much every morning (post wee, pre shower of course!) and keep track of that on an app so I get the best of both worlds!

Bloodycats how long have you been at it? You might be losing but not seeing it on the scales due to water retention; if that's the case the scales will suddenly shift, which is always a Jolly Good Day.

Red Weighing in at the end of the day always seems a bit barmy to me, as you're always weighing what you've eaten! I know Slimming World have to meet in the evenings, and it's the consistency that matters, but I am so committed to my sans-PJs post-pee pre-water (usually post-fast day) weigh-ins that I'd hate it Grin I guess it could encourage a day of light eating if you know you're being weighed in the evening.

I FINALLY had a piece of luck this morning and made it almost all the way before the heavens opened on me, so I made the most of it and have 11K steps already! My stepping's been pretty poor for me this week, so hoping for a final push.

Hello bloodycats, we are indeed all lovely here and are very good at helping each other along.

1lb off at SlimmingWorld last night. Would have been more but an impromptu day off (hence the mega morning run) meant I nibbled more than I would if I'd been at work.

Still though, a good result. Feeling in the zone at the moment so I'm enjoying it!
