Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

lose

TantricTwist · 18/01/2020 11:15

Morning all I had 1600 cals yesterday as I had friends round and drank Prosecco and had bread and a prosciutto platter. I actually thought it be a lot higher. Hopefully having one high cal day means the low cal days have something to push against - one can but hope

@Seer I hope DS gets in where he wants

And well done @DottieLottie1 and @Seer for maintaining so well at least you don't have that awful struggle of losing any more

@Skyejuly @MrsGrindah @MyGhastIsFlabbered We will do it and get there in the end - by summer for sure

I plan on showing off my hair free summer body this August or even July

I've had a strawberry activia this morning and later will cook pork stir fry with pak Choi and Chinese greens and rice

Seer · 18/01/2020 11:36

Morning! ☺️

I really think being a bit more carefree at weekends keeps you on course @TantricTwist, I don't know I could have stuck it out otherwise!

It's funny what you said about the struggle to lose weight... I've been noticing that there's part of me that misses the challenge and excitement (not so much the disappointments!) Maintaining is tricky in a different way and not so easy to get focused and single-minded on.

It has been a huge validation that I can do amazing things if I'm focused enough... I'm now looking at where I can place all that focus and energy instead!

Lazy day today and then have friends coming over this evening.

B: 'cheese' on toast
L: fast
D: nibbles (bread, antipasti etc) and wine

Enjoy your Saturday all! ☺️

Ok I forgot I ate a whole tub of Ben and Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie ice cream last night BlushShockHmm

DottieLottie1 · 18/01/2020 16:46

@Seer and @TantricTwist your dinners both sound lovely!

I'm with @Seer that you need to have at least 1 or 2 down days when you can treat yourself. I suppose I was effectively doing the 5:2..... I'm also finding the maintaining side a bit tricky, but saying that I'm trying to lose a couple more 1lbs to make room for the all bells AI holiday coming up 😂

Just back from work and enjoying a cuppa. Will order a takeaway most probably fish n chips in a bit. Will also crack open the 🥂🍾. I would think it's about 1800 calories, so still not crazy but relaxed!

Enjoy your evening everyone 😊

TantricTwist · 18/01/2020 17:56

Ok well 473 cals today so I've kinda evened out and I'm satiated but if I get hungry later then it'll be an apple or yoghurt.

MrsGrindah · 18/01/2020 19:21

So delighted this morning..13lb lost now! Can’t wait until I hit a stone!

Breakfast was egg on toast
Lunch fish cakes and salad
Dinner glass of wine and nuts!

Determined to be good all weekend but I need to fit in some exercise tomorrow.

DottieLottie1 · 18/01/2020 19:35

That's great @MrsGrindah, keep going your going to do it 🙌🏼😀

Seer · 19/01/2020 11:41

Morning!

Had a lovely evening last night with friends and enjoyed the 'nibbles' (breads, anti pasta, chips and dips etc) but didn't over-eat like mad like I normally would with that kind of food.

I've got the raw, unedited pics from my photo shoot and I'm very pleased with lots of them (tho some are best put out of mind!), and best of all... there's not one in which I don't feel happy with my body! I've now got to choose just 10 to be processed. Hard decision!

Mostly a lazy day today tho I'm also catching up on some admin and chores (eg just been figuring out the remaining amount on our mortgage and looking at different ways to we fund the planned kitchen extension).

B: cooked breakfast: v sausage, v bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and hash brown
L: fast
D: going out for dinner - possibly an Indian 😋

Have a fab day all!

Glad your pleased with your photos @Seer! I ha e few photos of myself as I hate hate having them taken. I'm so not photogenic 😂

Just back from watching DS play his sport so in very cold and muddy 😬 After a cuppa DH and I will take dog out for a walk and swing by a supermarket en route. Then a lazy afternoon and evening for us too.

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- Roast chicken wraps with salad and dips

Enjoy your Sunday everyone 😊

Skyejuly · 19/01/2020 12:30

I'm finally under 10st (for now!) First time in years!

DottieLottie1 · 19/01/2020 14:48

🙌🏼 @@Skyejuly what's your target/happy weight?

Seer · 19/01/2020 16:30

Amazing @Skyejuly ! Massive milestone there! 🌟

I'm 1lb off being under 11stone for the first time in years (I think, I've no idea when I've weighed what!), which on me is slimmer than it sounds!

It's a funny thing about being photogenic @DottieLottie1, people always make a point of saying I am but then I wonder if I actually look better in pics than in reality, if you see what I mean?! 😀

I've just noticed that I've got so in the habit of No S (sugar, snacks or seconds) in the week that it's feeling weird being allowed to now it is an S day!

We've just got back from a long dog walk and I'm currently reading with the cat snuggled on my tummy and a dog snuggled under my feet. 😍 I'm looking forward to going for the Indian later and I will feast away without any guilt or restriction! ☺️

A lot of resting today for me Hmm

Glad the photo's came out well @Seer

Hope you recovered from the cold & mud @DottieLottie1

Not too bad today

B - Fast
L - Alpen and apple juice
D - Chilli con carne and rice and apple juice

I'm going to eat more rice I think as it's keeping my cal intake down and filling me up

DottieLottie1 · 20/01/2020 06:42

Morning! It's a non working day for me today but I'm up early anyway 🙄, though that'll be DH's alarm. No real plans today other than a long walk with the dog. I'm also going to start to look for bits for our holiday. I dont need much as I'm back in my old clothes and I've got some lovely pieces. I've seen an amazing dress on the Roman Originals website- long, floaty with a poppy print. Shame I cant post pics on the app, I've uninstalled and relaunched many times to no avail! Maybe I should try through the webpage instead?

B- Vanilla and almond milkshake
L- fast
D- pesto pasta with Italian meats and breads, olives
S- fruit

That's around 1000 calories.

What are your plans everyone? Enjoy your Monday 😊

Seer · 20/01/2020 08:11

Morning!

I'll try to find the dress and take a peek @DottieLottie1

I can load pics but it takes aaaaages to load my photo album. Is yours just not working at all?

Sounds like you're so in the flow @TantricTwist I LOVE rice (and pasta)! I reckon that, and eating masses of veg, was a big part of how I maintained my weight all my life right up until last year. I think some of us just run well on carbs!

Nothing major planned here today, just kettlebells, work, dog walk, school run.

B: fast
L: jacket potato with sweetcorn, pickles and salad
D: lentil spaghetti Bol, broccoli and garlic bread

Have a lovely day all! ☺️

Skyejuly · 20/01/2020 08:19

My target is 8st 3. Surprisingly I was this weight when I just had my 4th child but then started snacking with pnd. I'm only small 5ft 1 so this is my weight I was happiest. To be honest I cant imagine ever being under 9st!

DottieLottie1 · 20/01/2020 08:20

I cant attach anything even though when I post the app says 'Successfully posted'. This has only been the case since I changed from iPhone to android (Samsung). I also cant zoom in on pics others post so it's quite difficult sometimes. As mumsnet would say 3rd World problem but annoying none the less 😂

Seer · 20/01/2020 08:21

They do lots of poppy print dresses so I'm still Jone the wiser @DottieLottie1 😀

OP posts:
Seer · 20/01/2020 08:23
  • none! 😀

I couldn't believe I would get under each weight milestone either @Skyejuly but keep going and it WILL happen for you ☺️

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 20/01/2020 08:49

Awww @Skyejuly, it is achievable and your on your way. I still cant get my head round weight loss even though I'm there now! But, I've learnt that stick at it and you will do it. I also love, love salad (with lighter than light mayo 😉) more than ever now. So much so that once I started eating more again after Christmas indulgences it felt normal, which of course it should!

@Seer, sorry I can't link it's a maxi dress, white background with large poppies. Flattering high neck line and a pleated skirt.....

Skyejuly · 20/01/2020 09:48

Thank you. You are all keeping me motivated. My struggle is thick buttery toast but I must admit I love a salad too now. Yum.

TantricTwist · 20/01/2020 13:05

Ha yes @Skyejuly buttery toast is something I miss but I just no longer buy bread for anyone in the house.

Although I bought some at DS request and he's so used to not having any he barely touched it.

They have wraps instead though.
I'm off ill today. Clearly recovering a bit as I'm now on MN lol, but feel bleugh.

The poppy dress sounds gorgeous. I'm going to take a look at the website @DottieLottie1 I love salad as well so long as it has balsamic, a tiny bit of olive oil on it and mustard.

@Seer I'm kind of back in the flow esp after 'forgetting' I ate a whole tub of ice cream on Friday night Confused This is why I can't drink alcohol at the moment, bad food choices, eek !!

TantricTwist · 20/01/2020 13:10
