Hello @TantricTwist and @DottieLottie1 ☺️

We're close to 1k on our old thread and I thought I'd start this one whilst I remember and the other one is still open so I can point you to it!

We can finish the other one first if it'll make anyone itch leaving it unfinished 😀

Here's to getting to our goal weight/sizes during this thread! 🥂 (The next one we'll be maintaining!)

I can see them all @DottieLottie1 maybe if you're posting via phone click on the ↑↓ button top right and that might refresh ?!? That's what I'd try (you've probably done that already mind)

Horrible weather. I've been out seeing patients all day but at least I have my fetching NHS fleece and jacket to keep me warm and dry, but with it being so windy could barely zip it up

B - Fast
Snack - tracker bar, tons of Brazil nuts but that's the last of them and defo not buying more as too moreish and can not restrict to just a couple. Anyway tracker bar has less calories.
L - Heinz chicken soup and 4 Finn crisp back at the office.
Snack - apple
D - Chicken Salad and handful of oven chips, couple of Werthers butter candy which are quite low cal and satisfy any sweet urges I get.

1241 cals. So far.

I'll weigh in on Thursday as I'm out with friends on Friday and will be on the Wine

DottieLottie1 · 14/01/2020 21:48

@TantricTwist are the wethers the sugar free version? They are only 8 calories per sweet I believe, though I've not tried them! I daren't eat many of them as they would pass straight through me laxative style. I think that would take dieting to a whole new level 🙈

TantricTwist · 14/01/2020 23:14

No they're definitely not sugar free @DottieLottie1 I bought them for the kids Christmas stockings and they wouldn't fit in amongst all the other treats so I kept them and a couple of bags of Gummi bears.

Skyejuly · 15/01/2020 10:35

I usually weigh on a Wednesday but I have been weighing each day obsessively :/

Seer · 15/01/2020 13:43

Afternoon! ☺️

@DottieLottie1 I can see all your posts too.
Are you planning to lose more until your hols or are you maintaining again now?

I weighed daily until recently @Skyejuly because I fluctuate a lot and know I would have been demotivated to have weighed weekly and have not seen a change due to a fluctuation that day. When I weighed daily I would fluctuate by 2-3lb and would take the lowest weight of the week as an indication of a loss.

Whatever works for you works best!

I've also weighed today on autopilot (I meant to wait until Friday!) and have lost another couple of ounces. It's not much but I really intend to maintain now so will keep an eye that I'm not overly restricting my food intake.

I've realised that can't do 16:8, No S diet and eat light at lunch and expect to maintain!

B: fast
L: leftover tofu and veg stir fry and small portion of rice (will be nice to be able to have left overs again!)
D: lentil shepherds pie, broccoli, kale and sprouts.
S: 2 choc truffles

I've got a busy day today work-wise and will struggle to fit much more than a dog walk in tho will aim to do kettlebells if I can.

Have a lovely day all!

OP posts:
Seer · 15/01/2020 13:46

The choc truffles aren't actually a snack I'm having them now after lunch... they're my one exception to the No S diet!

OP posts:
Skyejuly · 15/01/2020 13:50

B: fast
L: chickpea curry with 1 pitta
D: veg stirfry
S: 2x cracker bread...cucumber...grapes

Seer · 15/01/2020 15:07

I want chickpea curry now @Skyejuly 😀

@Seer, I'm trying to get back to my pre- Christmas weight which is 1- 2 lbs. But...... I'm thinking maybe a couple more as the holiday is all singing all dancing and I want 5o make the most of it. However I am at that point where I might start to look too thin rather than slim IYKWIM.

On a double shift. Currently sitting in a coffee shop having a cuppa! Then back to work. Home mid evening. Wednesday = mid week drinks 😜

B- cuppa
L- cuppa
D- Jacket potato with pineapple cottage cheese and salad.
S- fruit & Prosecco

Around 1100 calories.

Enjoy those truffles @Seer. Have a lovely Wednesday all 😊

TantricTwist · 15/01/2020 19:44

B - apple
Snack - sesame snaps
L - ramen noodles, ring doughnut, 4 Finn Crisp
D - Chicken Salad

Busy and productive day, rainy but nowhere near as windy as yesterday. I'm v. tired now so if I eat anything else it'll just be a werthers.

Seer · 15/01/2020 21:43

I've created our new thread - I'm sure you'll recognise it! I hope you like the name 😉

That makes sense @DottieLottie1 do you think you'll be able to let go and eat, drink and make merry once you're on hols?

Sounds like a good day there @TantricTwist

I'm feeling proud of myself for pushing an edge and doing something scary this afternoon (too outing to share here, sadly, let's just say it was akin to public speaking and on a potentially controversial topic to a risky audience). I joined Dottie in a couple of 🥂 to celebrate afterwards!

OP posts:
DottieLottie1 · 15/01/2020 21:47

Ooooooo, love to know what it is @Seer! And yes I do hope I can enjoy every moment without feeling guilty, although the kids are coming it's my 20th wedding anniversary 😊 wanna have a wicked (showing my age 😳😜) time!

Now if to search our new thread 😊

Seer · 15/01/2020 21:57

Oh wow! 20 years! I hope you have a wicked time too (in all the ways 😉) @DottieLottie1

Also, thinking about thread names... I actually gave THE old jeans to charity as soon as I could fit back into them! Once I could wear them again I realised I don't actually much like them any more!

Next stop... a sexy pair of Levi's to show case my newfound (thanks to the kettle bells) rear!

TantricTwist · 16/01/2020 06:43

@Seer new thread, breaking new barriers it's all going on here

@DottieLottie1 20 years that's so cute, have the best of times and make the most of your new bod Wink

I've lost 2lbs in 6 days which is great of course but I was hoping for a bit more. Hopefully it'll be more next week. I lost an inch and a half around my waist though which is good. My appetite is down and I like my new eating plan which is working well in that I don't feel too tired with loss of concentration. I feel back on track again which is so nice so thank you so much for that Smile

DottieLottie1 · 16/01/2020 07:44

@TantricTwist, I found that weight loss didnt necessarily go hand in hand with measuring loss and vice versa....Could be water retention I suppose?

DottieLottie1 · 16/01/2020 07:49

Slowish start to the day, starting with a cup pain bed. Off to work after DC have left for school. Double shift but not sure of my lunchtime plans yet. Wont be able to get much extra walking in today but I'd assume I must get to the 10,000 steps whilst I work due to it being active. Ho.e mid evening.

B- cuppa
L- not sure
D- Omelette with Italian meat and red pepper, mountains of salad.
S- fruit

Low calories today and weighing in tomorrow.

Enjoy the Thursday everyone 😊

Seer · 16/01/2020 12:55

That sounds like a great result @TantricTwist tho I get that you were hoping for more. My max was 2lb lost in a week (and that was only in the first few weeks) and then it was more like .5lb, often less... slow and steady wins the race (unless you're @DottieLottie1 and you win it fast 😀)

Didn't start the day well today... more road closure hassles and had a bit of an row with DS who had done something really irresponsible and was then justifying it 😬

I had a bit of a rare melt down 😭 but I'm now feeling back to myself again.

Normal work day plus dog walk and meeting a friend for a cup of tea (will do my best to avoid cake because No S!)

B: bagel with tapenade (decided to have breakfast due to melt down and headache!)
L: tiny portion of leftover lentil shepherds pie and veg, 1 choc truffle
D: BBQ mushrooms, garlicky kale & rice

Have a lovely day all ☺️

Hi All. Away fir work today which is always tricky. However I’ve lost half a pound this morning so feeling strong! Not been doing much exercise this week though. Work always seems to get in the way!

I have discovered a new breakfast that really fills me up ..M and S thick protein yoghurts. Only 154 calories but really creamy and filling. Wasn’t even ready for lunch which is unusual for me. NB I haven’t been paid to say that!

Decided just to have an evening in my room with a cuppa and a sarnie and a good book . Living the dream!

TantricTwist · 16/01/2020 19:33

So I worked all day then went to DS parents evening which was fine (ish)

B - granola bar a patients daughter gave me that she'd made - it was delicious
Snack - ring doughnut
Lunch - Heinz chicken soup, apple
Dinner - chicken salad with a mouthful of DD's pasta

All under 1000 cals

DottieLottie1 · 17/01/2020 08:04

Morning!

@MrsGrindah and @TantricTwist it sounds like you both had productive days on both the work and diet front yesterday

@Seer hoping you've calmed down after your DS's behaviour. They do live to test us at times, and I'm assuming he is getting to 'that's age now. He's off to secondary in September isn't he? Wondering which school you chose in the end, but you are lucky to have a wealth of good/outstanding schools on your doorstep!

Just dud my weekly weigh-in and I'm down 1lb on last week (2nd weigh in result if last week) and I'm back down to my lowest weight! Yay! I'm really not sure why I get myself in a panic if I gain 1-2lbs 🤷🏼‍♀️ Also looks like the extra walking last week did have an effect on what I ate.

Off to work shortly but home mud afternoon. Making dinner when I get back in, a chilli.

B- cuppa
L-Fast
D- Chilli con carne with rice, doritos and dips.
S- 🍾🥂

will be around 1300 cals.

What are your plans for today and the weekend?

Enjoy your Friday all 😊

Skyejuly · 17/01/2020 08:05

I weight this morning and down 2lbs. Total of 9lbs but think its come off my boobs as I feel the same!

Seer · 17/01/2020 09:12

Morning!

@DottieLottie1 yes i think he is getting to 'that' age! 😀 we went for the ex-G school that's furthest away, ie not in our town 🙄 and now waiting to see if he gets in.

Well done on losing that last pound! I knew you'd do it and quickly!💃

That's great news @Skyejuly tho I appreciate you'd rather be able to see it somewhere other than your chest! I can rarely see the difference as I go, it's when I try something on that'll I'll realise.

Bizarrely I've lost another pound 🤷🏻‍♀️ after months of struggling to lose that much in a week when I'm actually dieting!

I think I'm now the lightest I've been in years (I have no real idea as I've weighed myself v infrequently in my whole adult life as I'd never put on weight before!)

I really can't understand it as I've eaten breakfast twice this week (usually do that rarely) and I've been having normal sized lunches instead of low cal ones).

And I'm due on today so I actually look pretty bloated.

I cant believe the No S diet is the answer as I thought I eat so little seconds, sweet or snacks anyway... or could it be the small amounts here and there add up that much? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bizarre! I can probably afford to lose another few pounds before I start to look out of proportion or gaunt (my face deffo needs the fat!) I will keep going as I am and then review if weight keeps coming off.

I'm working as usual this morning then I have DS's assembly to watch at 2.30pm and then an architect coming over later to quote for an extension.

B: fast
L: vegetable and lentil rice
D: Indian takeaway and wine 😋

Have a lovely day all!

DottieLottie1 · 17/01/2020 09:14

@Skyejuly , I've lost weight all over which means my boobs are quite small now. Personally I'm not bothered as they have never been my 'feature' 😳😂

DottieLottie1 · 17/01/2020 09:15

Oh, and well done! 🙌🏼

DottieLottie1 · 17/01/2020 09:19

@Seer, it's great when you pose some without feeling like you've put much effort in (meaning your extra breakfasts😉). Its frustrating the other way round though, when you've had so little with nadda result!

Hope you get your 1st Preference. My two are well into secondary now and seemingly happy and doing well 👍🏻
