oops 'embarrassing' So excited by Abba I forgot how to type!

TigerFeet · 08/08/2007 13:47

Oh I love Abba

JackieNo · 08/08/2007 17:00

You don't need to bring your Abba - I've got it, but only on vinyl. That's how old I am (almost typed [grim] there - would have been quite appropriate!). Don't have a turntable plugged in though; it's gathering dust in the spare room atm.

TigerFeet · 09/08/2007 10:07

My sister (15yo, the magic of Abba has endured another generation) has half inched my cd, otherwise I would bring it along

However I can bring..

Coleslaw & similar stuff
Potato Salad
Salad dressings
Houmous, standard and flavoured eg lemon & coriander
Guacamole
Salsa
Other dips eg cheese & chive etc

I work for a company that makes that sort of thing and I can get samples.

Any requests??

JackieNo · 09/08/2007 10:26

Sounds fab, TigerFeet, and very nice of you to offer - maybe don't worry about coleslaw, as Littlemisssensible's bringing hers, but anything else would be fab. Thank you.

littlemisssensible · 09/08/2007 13:49

Mmmmmmm! Dips! Hummous! Potato salad!

Yum!

Kewcumber · 09/08/2007 19:45

especially the hummous. Don't forget the hummous. Plenty of hummous - a BIG sample.

WigWamBam · 09/08/2007 19:46

Ooooh ... samples of humous [yum]

I don't suppose you can get samples of cake as well, can you?

Amid all this talk of houmous, don't forget it's weigh-in day. I've put on, I think - a pound at least (have lost track a bit).

WigWamBam · 09/08/2007 22:03

Oh heck, so it is.

Sorry

Too busy playing Scrabble!

You just can't get the staff, can you.

OP posts:
Littlefish · 09/08/2007 23:15

What would you like me to bring?

JackieNo · 10/08/2007 08:36

Littlefish - happy for people not to bring anything. I was assuming I'd provide food, so it's lovely to have offers, but if you just bring yourself and your DD that's fine with me.

littlemisssensible · 10/08/2007 09:57

Ooops! Forgot to e-mail yesterday, just done it. I hope it isn't too late

I've gone with stayed the same because my scales say I lost 3lb but I know thats because I didn't have anything for dinner the night before.

I know thats VERY silly but I was expecting Dh and DD to arrive back from the beach and then all of us having something...however at 9.30pm they texted me to say that they were having Pizza with friends and I was so I couldn't think about making myself something to eat so I went to bed in a strop instead!

I'm still a bit annoyed but I'm getting over it!

TigerFeet · 10/08/2007 11:01

Bugger, forgot to weigh in, I'll have to do it tonight (might not eat too much today then )

I will remember the houmous, pots and pots of it, all different flavours. We do a lovely topped on with chilli in it, yum.

TigerFeet · 10/08/2007 11:01

one

agalch · 10/08/2007 17:51

Better dash,dd2 has gone very quiet again!

Kewcumber · 10/08/2007 19:37

just the plan old fashioned sort works for me Feety! I haven't been able to weigh as have had DS for an extra day (am on hols) and when I went to weigh in Tesco their mahcine only takes 50p pieces and nothing else. Think I may have put on though I will wiegh in Boots tomorrow morning though. Better late then never.

JackieNo · 11/08/2007 12:20

WigWamBam - meant to say: DD has sent your DD another letter, and it may need a bit of decoding - your DD had said that she wasn't learning to join up letters yet, and DD has said in this letter that joining two 'e's is her favourite bit of joined up writing. Hope that makes sense.

WigWamBam · 11/08/2007 18:09

I'm sure we'll manage to work it all out, Jackie!

OK - so I'm a bit late again this week - sorry

Agalch: +0.5 (total 32)
JackieNo: +1.5lb (total +1.5)
LMS: stayed the same (total 5lb)
MrsJC: -1 (total 15lb)
WWB: stayed the same (total 6lb)

So this week's cake - whoops, I mean crown - goes to MrsJC.

And a swift kick for the rest of us!
