Hey - a virtual meet-up. What time would it be with MrsJC when we're meeting though? Probably the middle of the night.

WigWamBam · 08/08/2007 08:21

Jackie, he only has this uncanny vision of how things are in your house, since that's very often what they're like in our house too. Espcially since I started playing Scrabble on Facebook ... it's even more addictive than MN.

We should definitely include MrsJC; being stupid-o'clock is no excuse for not joining in

ooh WWB must tell me all about scrabble when we meet - I have a face book account but don;t use it.

littlemisssensible · 08/08/2007 09:54

Hmmmmm, Am I gonna be the oldest at 46? I shall expect some deferential treatment with regard to my obvious elder wisdom if so

I'm glad to see that its not just me and dh who converse by computer in the evenings! We've even been known to do so whilst sitting side by side on the sofa!!!

WigWamBam · 08/08/2007 10:19

KC, Facebook Scrabble is fab (although dh reckons it's on the same level of geekiness as postal chess!). You choose who you want to start a game with, and can play with up to three other people (although I've only played one-to-one). I like the fact that you can leave the game at any point and go back to it - which you have to when you're playing someone like MrsJC in a different time zone. You can have as many games ongoing as you can keep up with.

Kwec, I've tried and failed to find you on Facebook - are you in the MN group?

Mrs JC you are younger than me by a whole 2 months! [ancient]

I'm off to facebook now to get the scrabble application

I've been sending out fishes btw

TigerFeet · 08/08/2007 10:24

Kwec? wtf?

WigWamBam · 08/08/2007 10:31

I couldn't find Kwec either

Join the MN group so we can find you, KC - and come and play Scrabble!

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 08/08/2007 11:16

how do I join the MN group [not a geek, have a life kind of emoticon]

TigerFeet · 08/08/2007 11:41

I found a link through another MNer's (who was already a facebook friend) home page

However if you go to your own homepage, on the left there is a list, including "Groups", click on that, click "Browse Groups" and look for us under Type General Interest, Sub Group Families

[geek, don't have a life emoticon]

littlemisssensible · 08/08/2007 11:52

Where do you guys find the time to be 'Geeky'? I only just about manage to shoehorn the small amount of mn-ing I do into the old work/life schedule!

TigerFeet · 08/08/2007 11:55

work is very quiet atm, have plenty of lurking time

Kewcumber · 08/08/2007 11:59

Ok found it and applied - now to work out how to play scrabble.

LMS - I find time during work and wehn DS is first in bed I sit in teh room next door (with computer) for 30 mins until I know he's asleep MN'ing.

littlemisssensible · 08/08/2007 12:09

Ahhhh, I see!

I must admit most of my mning is done at work , but being the boss has its advantages

I'd forgotten those evenings cof relative peace when the lo is in bed!!! My dd (now 9)has far more stamina than me and is usually still running around like a loony long after I've collapsed on the sofa with the tv remote and a sustaining cuppa (about 7.00pm!)....Its probably my advanced years!

MrsJohnCusack · 08/08/2007 12:12

I am 11 hours ahead

I have just been to see Bob Dylan. Was fab!

WigWamBam · 08/08/2007 12:28

Would love to see Dylan. Hope you had a great time!

MrsJohnCusack · 08/08/2007 12:34

he was brilliant actually
support act was fab too (The Frames, an irish group)

finished with All Along The Watchtower. DH is VERY happy

WigWamBam · 08/08/2007 12:37

I have nothing much to add apart from

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 08/08/2007 13:00

contrary to popular belief my cat is named after a more literary Dylan. DT is a bit miserable for my liking

WigWamBam · 08/08/2007 13:02

Nothing like a bit of misery

I rather like Leonard Cohen too.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 08/08/2007 13:06

changing my mind about a meet-up. Will bring my Abba LP's as an antidote...

WigWamBam · 08/08/2007 13:09

I shan't be bringing Leonard Cohen with me, you know

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 08/08/2007 13:19

aw shame [sarky emoticon]

still bringing my Abba LP though

WigWamBam · 08/08/2007 13:24

Abba makes me feel old.

Particularly when dd is singing and boogie-ing along to Dancing Queen ... reminds me of being a teenager. A blardy long time ago!

OP posts:
littlemisssensible · 08/08/2007 13:28

Ohhhh Abba! I can dance round my handbag like the embarring older mum that I am {grin]

I'll see if I can find my white stillettos!!!!
