Target: 2kgs per month off by Christmas (any method) - anyone?

Just for some moral support/egging on, anyone else joining me with a steady 2kg per month off until Christmas? By any method we like?!

I am going to start (this week) with generally trying to eat less cals a day, less carbs and also try Intermittent Fasting a couple of times a week. Not going mad with crazy diets, and not going to break my neck doing it but also just trying to eat less/move more, and lose a couple of dress sizes over the next few months.

Would anyone like to join me? :)

Morning all. Still shuffling along here like a snail. But I’m going. Big little is out of hospital which is ace. Had to stop myself eating all the chocolate and crisps yesterday as was knackered. Was about 80% successful.
Weigh in tomorrow but feel like I’m thinner. So we shall see.
Plan today is toast for breakfast; an omelette of some sort for lunch and sea bass with potatoes and green beans for dinner.

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 09/10/2019 14:35

Yay well done to DS. And well done for feeling thinner!

I was 74.1kg this morning but then had two breakfasts and a burger king for dinner! May skip weigh in tomorrow!

3.5lbs down!! That would be stress. 15.5in total since August 1st. So proud. Aiming for another 10 before Xmas day

Pinkroseuk · 10/10/2019 10:17

Well done @KTD27 ! Stress does help me too I find.
I'm down to 87.5 this morning so pretty pleased with that :)
Aiming to get to 80kg by Christmas (then reward myself with a lovely large Christmas dinner!)

Rezie · 12/10/2019 08:06

Last week 82kg
This week 82.3kg

In ok with the gain. Last weekend I went away and we are and drank well and I know i didn't make the best decisions. Bought some treat this weekend but trying to make them last the whole weekend. Hoping to get 81 point something next week.

Hello all,
How's everyone getting on. I weighed myself this morning and was back at 75.1, I'm meant to be almost 70kg by now!! argh! Had a really good day until dinner time when I couldn't stop eating veggie fingers!

Need to get back on the wagon!

How's everyone else doing?

At this rate the LBD for Christmas is going to be a VBS (Very Big Smock)

OP posts:
KTD27 · 13/10/2019 16:54

Grin at VBS. I went out on Friday for a Chinese with friends and haven’t been able to get back on the wagon since. I have tried to be good today (and eaten a donut) and I fear the worst isn’t over for me yet...
shall see where the land lies tomorrow morning

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 13/10/2019 16:57

i fear we are all in the same (large) boat

OP posts:
Rezie · 13/10/2019 17:07

Original plan was to be 76kg by Christmas (page 2). New plan is to be under 80kg.

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 13/10/2019 17:13

I haven't really moved since I started. Sad

RubySlippers77 · 14/10/2019 20:49

@2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin if I ever went to Christmas parties I would also be wearing a VBS.....

Bought a size 14 Halloween t shirt in an overly optimistic mood that I'd be able to wear it without it clinging to the lumps and bumps of my roly poly tum. I have two weeks left but it's not looking hopeful Sad

I've joined the low carb bootcamp thread as I'm also trying to give up wheat (for health reasons as well as weight loss). Hoping that will give me some more motivation to shift a few pounds before the eating fest that is Christmas! or indeed any weekend for me

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 15/10/2019 14:29

Oh Good luck with that Ruby!

Trying to be good. But mostly failing.

Another day another trip to blummin hospital with the littlest gremlin. Face first down a slide and a beauty of a black eye but nothing else thank goodness. These kids are sent to try me and my diet!! All i want to do now is drink all the wine and eat all the crisps Grin

Clipperclopper · 15/10/2019 15:41

1lb = -3,500 deficit...
3kg is beyond extreme...
Maybe if severely overweight it can be done for a short while.
If we need about 1700 cal a day to mantain you do the math.

RubySlippers77 · 16/10/2019 09:21

Aaarrrgghhhh @KTD27!! Is your DC ok now? Hospitals are (ironically!) not the easiest places to make healthy eating choices, either!

Another extremely wet school run for me. If rain could wash away the pounds I'd be Kate Moss by now.....

KTD27 · 16/10/2019 10:32

@RubySlippers77 haha tell me about it! I look like a drowned rat.
She is fine. Has an amazing bruise on her face but is totally fine. And I’d like not to see the inside of a hospital for a wee while now!

Weigh in this morning I’m down another pound but there’s no WAY that’s true. Normally my weigh in is at night so there’s no chance I’d see a downward trend if I could get there this evening so I’m going to be extra cautious this week. Making a chicken soup today which should do lunch for me over the next few days. Lots of recipes from PON planned and an evening out Friday so hopefully it will balance out by weigh in next week. Still 16.5 lbs in total since August 1st so I’m pushing for that 21 if I can get there!

KT sorry to hear about smallest gremlin, however it all seems to be doing wonders for the weightloss! 16lbs is amazing!

Ruby how is your low carb going?

I did not have dinner today but had a glass of wine instead - I seem to be almost the weight I was this morning which hopefully means overnight something will vanish. Maybe replacing meals with wine is the future?! TBC tomorrow after scale-time.

@2slices I feel with Christmas coming that is a diet I can get behind.

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 17/10/2019 12:40

it didn't work unfortunately. and i couldn't find anything this morning for work that would cover up the rolls. Getting really fed up!

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 17/10/2019 17:48

ok, I've decided to bite the bullet and sign up for the meal delivery things where you get 3 meals and snacks for the day. It's extortionate but I really need to do something drastic. I've done it before and lost a lot. it's my only hope. :o

OP posts:
KTD27 · 17/10/2019 20:36

Oh good luck @2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin is it super expensive?? I think sometimes you just need to take away the choice.

RubySlippers77 · 17/10/2019 21:08

Yes, good luck with the meal deliveries @2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin. I do think sometimes that it helps to have tunnel vision for weight loss; when I was able to do Slim Fast (no DP/ DC at home to cook for) I did lose a bit quite quickly. If it saves you time and effort then why not give it a go? Especially coming up to Christmas, if it helps you you could always ask for vouchers towards it for the New Year (should it still be helpful by then!)

And well done on the 16lbs @KTD27. I've lost precisely 1lb but then the summer hols were brutally hard with small DC on the go all the time!!

Rezie · 18/10/2019 06:54

Last week 82.3 kg
This week 81.5 kg

It took a while but finally results are starting to show. Hoping few weeks have not been a fluke Envy
