I'm fed up with being fat.

Anyone fancy joining me, starting from tomorrow with a weigh in?

It would be lovely to have some company.

I'm going to use today to stock up on healthy food and purchase some bathroom scales.

@Apolloanddaphne I am interested to see if you have lost weight. I could definitely do two fast days a week and just more mindful eating the other five days. I pray that you have lost and I can adopt this style of eating.

I agree that you will have more control on a self catering holiday. I hope it all goes well for you.

Morning all. So one day to go until weigh in! I had a good Mon-Fri and had a few (too many!) indulgences yesterday. I had my toast with butter and jam this morning and that’s the end of it for today - no more “treats”.
I’m actually quite relieved to be putting some shape/control on my eating - that is so important for me as it takes me so long to get to that “full” feeling.

So I’m really quite grateful for this thread Smile Hope all are doing the best they can and good luck for tomorrow on the scales.

Pinkiii · 14/07/2019 13:49

@sevenandeight i’m hoping to test out my new self control and maybe opt for more of a healthy option, burger without bun, chicken and salad.

The alcohol will be my downfall.

We need to to give ourselves more credit i think :)

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 14/07/2019 15:52

Back from hols and I’ve put on 4lbs. I’m confident I can lose it quickly as it’s all beer, wine and bread!. One last glass of red today with my tea then the party is over!

sevenandeight · 14/07/2019 15:55

This time last week I was stuffing my face with chocolate. Today I've just had Greek yogurt and raspberries.

Baby steps.

Weigh in done today, happy with my results. Hope I can keep it up.

Starting weight: 11 stone 1lbs
Current weight:10 stone 8lbs

Hope everyone else has good weigh ins today!

sevenandeight · 15/07/2019 06:59

@Pinkiii

Wow, 7lbs down. That's amazing isn't it? I'm so pleased for you. It must be nice being out of the 11 stone bracket and into the 10's.

My starting weight was the same as you.

Let's keep going.

Weigh in

I’m 1.7 down. That was 2 fast days, 3 good days and then some extras over the weekend. I’m a bit disappointed. I’ve done 5:2 before and, even taking the weekend into account, have had better losses, especially in week 1.

But I’m not giving up! I’ve reinstalled MyFitnessPal and will track this week. Also I had my period last week which never helps.

Pinkiii · 15/07/2019 07:24

@sevenandeight thank you! Im so pleased, just goes to show what cutting out snacks can do, the first couple of days was hard not having chocolate after food or my nightly wine but i didn’t even miss it towards the end of the week.

Hope you’re pleased with your loss! I know you felt a bit unmotivated mid week and wanted to delete us but well done for keeping at it!!

Spinosaur · 15/07/2019 08:16

HI,

I have had a difficult couple of days and been really hungry/lightheaded. I have drunk loads of water and stuck to the plan but will look to switch to the 5:2 soonish. I have had my period too so my weight is a bit difficult to judge. I have gone down about 6lbs on the scales which is great but my weight does change when having my period. I will just carry on (unfortunately I have a couple of days away soon so will just be mindful and try my best). Hope all is well with everybody and have a good week.

Apolloanddaphne · 15/07/2019 08:17

Weigh in

1.6kg down (3.5lb approx).

I'm well pleased. Apart from the fast days nothing about it felt like dieting.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 15/07/2019 08:40

nice work, losers. You're doing fabulously.

I have lost nothing. I weigh to the ounce what I did last week.
However, I have definitely eaten less, and better, this week. I am confident that with a few little tweaks I shall be on a downward trajectory next week.

sevenandeight · 15/07/2019 08:44

Well done everyone, let's have a good week.

Checking in for weigh day.

Some fab losses in here this week, well done all!

I'm really pleased with my results this week because I've shown myself I can focus on my appetite and cravings rather than needing to restrict or count things which is what I've got hung up on before.

#2 12st 6lbs (-6.5lbs :o)

sevenandeight · 15/07/2019 08:57

Well done @FannyFeatures

CCquavers · 15/07/2019 10:15

Well done everyone. There are some fab weight loses here today. Not so great for me but maybe I shouldn't have started a diet when I have 3 eating events to go to..

Today is a new day and I'm exploring the use of my husbands dumb bell that is sitting in the garage.

You are all giving me the impetus to just get on with it and not just eat!

clare8allthepies · 15/07/2019 10:24

Well done everybody! 2 and a half pounds off here which I’m happy with as its been a bit hit and miss.

Pinkiii · 15/07/2019 10:27

Well done everyone! Hope its another good week for all.

ElizabethG81 · 15/07/2019 10:51

Well done everyone. 7lb off for me.

MilesFlora · 15/07/2019 11:30

Wow, impressive losses! Well done to all.

I’m down this week so really going to try and keep at it.

Week 1: 10st 7lbs
Week 2: 10st 4.75lbs (-2.25lbs)

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 15/07/2019 11:42

I weighed in too early ! I've been for a 5k run in the sunshine and have sweated off a pound Grin.
still sticking with original weight for accounting purposes.

sevenandeight · 15/07/2019 11:52

We should all be very proud of ourselves.

It feels so much better on the head losing weight than it does just stuffing my face all day long and feeling out of control.

I feel much more motivated compared to this time last week.

I would love to lose 2lbs this week to make it half a stone gone.

Keep it up everyone Grin

Seren10 · 15/07/2019 12:45

Hello everyone, I also started my diet last Monday!!

I started at 10 stone exactly last Monday. I was well behaved all week, no alcohol but went to a Festival at the weekend so relaxed a little over the weekend (still only drinking gin and slimline though). Weighed in at 9 stone 9 3/4 this morning.

I would like to get down to 8stone7 as that's where I look and feel my best.

Good luck everyone :)

sevenandeight · 15/07/2019 13:11

@Seren10 well done, we have all done so well.
