I'm fed up with being fat.

Anyone fancy joining me, starting from tomorrow with a weigh in?

It would be lovely to have some company.

I'm going to use today to stock up on healthy food and purchase some bathroom scales.

@MilesFlora

I'm scared to weigh myself tomorrow too. Grin

Fuck it we’ll just jump on the scales and take it from there. I quite like the thread title actually...fresh start. That’s exactly what I need Wink

sevenandeight · 07/07/2019 10:40

@MilesFlora yes a fresh start is what's needed. I need to really sort myself out.

Right, I'm off to town now to purchase my scales.

Me!!! Shocked I've put on 2 stone as still squeezing into my size 10s (stretchy ones!!) but stood on the scales yesterday and nearly died!!

Started couch to 5k last week and did the first week nicely so going to continue that.

Need to give up the wine...think will have a proper detox and give it up completely for 2 weeks!

barbaramillicentr · 07/07/2019 10:54

I'm in.

NewStartYetAgain · 07/07/2019 10:54

I will join you all. Was intending on starting a weight loss regime on the 1st July but have been floored this week with a chest infection. Feeling better now the antibiotics and steroids have kicked in.

Started low carb yesterday but will weigh in tomorrow with you all. My weight on 1st July was my heaviest ever at 14st 1.4lb. I now have over 4st to lose.

sevenandeight · 07/07/2019 11:07

@NewStartYetAgain

Glad that you are feeling better now.

I'm on way from a holiday and plan to start tomorrow. I am going to do 5:2. I need to lose around 3 stones. I am going away for another 10 days very soon but we will be self catering in the UK so I should be able to keep it up.

Poppiesway1 · 07/07/2019 11:16

Oh yes please. This post is such good timing.
I’ve been yo yo dieting for so long I need to get control but find it so hard.. I do ok.. then stop and I put it back on and more Sad

Have got Pinch of Nom and going to try recipies from there as tea time and evenings are my major major downfalls

clpsmum · 07/07/2019 11:19

@sevenandeight can I join please? I'm sick of being the fat one all the time! (I am bubbly though if that counts!!)

Littlepigsmig · 07/07/2019 11:19

I'm in, back from holiday and whilst I didn't over indulge as I normally do, I still have weight to lose. Could do with losing about 2.5 stone.

catinboots99 · 07/07/2019 11:23

Can I join? I have 5st to lose Blush

I started with a PT last week and I am doing OMAD

sevenandeight · 07/07/2019 11:23

I'm so glad that's you all are joining me.

There will be a lot of us tomorrow morning dusting off the scales.

Mintysmoons · 07/07/2019 11:47

Yep, me!
I’m always trying to lose weight but it’s so slow I keep giving up. I want to lose about 3 stone.
I’ve been giving 16:8 fasting a go over the last week, which has been surprisingly easy. I think I’ve lost about two pounds without really trying too much. My eating window has been roughly 10am to 6pm.
I’m intending to start restricting calories a bit more and implementing an exercise routine on Monday week. I break up from school on Friday so I can give my lifestyle change my undivided attention.

sevenandeight · 07/07/2019 11:53

Hi @Mintysmoons

I'm planning to follow 16:8 with my eating window 10-6. Most of my overeating is done in the evenings so I am hoping that a 6pm cut off will help. I'm also going to be counting calories.

Depressing isn't it? I just want to crack on with losing this weight and to stop beating myself up about it all the time.

sevenandeight · 07/07/2019 11:55

I'm also going to big time hit the beauty products. A full body overhaul is on the cards.

OP posts:
gggrrrargh · 07/07/2019 11:59

Me too!

I actually started to try and be more careful from Saturday including a weigh in, but we'll ignore that fact :)

I'm a total binge eater. If I buy a pack of 5 jam doughnuts I will eat them all within half hour.

Mintysmoons · 07/07/2019 12:00

seven I have felt really great this week just by curbing the evening binges.

I bought the Fast 800 book and it’s been very inspiring. I think it seems very do able.

sevenandeight · 07/07/2019 12:01

@gggrrrargh

I'm the same with doughnuts, except I would buy a ten bag!

OP posts:
sevenandeight · 07/07/2019 12:03

@Mintysmoons

My evening binges are out of control. I feel hung over in the mornings. I'm hoping that no food after 6pm will help me gain some control.

It's going to be face and hair masks in the evenings for me from now on. Grin

Please can I join? I'm a chocoholic, no off switch, serial snacker and want to lose 2st as soon as possible, develop some healthier habits and hopefully lose a couple more long term. Hoping having a place to check in and support will help along the way!

sevenandeight · 07/07/2019 12:22

@snowspider1 you sound like me.

OP posts:
IamMummyhearmeROAR · 07/07/2019 12:56

I’ll join but I’m on holiday so can’t weigh in. I eat well on holiday - I don’t snack at all- no crisps, chocolate, cake or biscuits. However the alcohol and bread are a different issue. I lost 8lbs before I left but I have a stone to lose on top of that.

snowspider1 · 07/07/2019 13:15

It's crap isn't it seven. I wish I was one of those naturally slim people, who just knew when to stop and had healthy habits.
