I'm fed up with being fat.

Anyone fancy joining me, starting from tomorrow with a weigh in?

It would be lovely to have some company.

I'm going to use today to stock up on healthy food and purchase some bathroom scales.

So after my binge weekend (just calorie counted and it's not a pretty number!) I feel utterly shit
Knackered, bloated and nauseous this morning, actually looking forward to getting back on it today

Have I broken this thread?!

theneverendinglaundry · 08/08/2019 11:29

Haha @evilherbivore it has gone a bit quiet hasn't it. How are you feeling after your weekend?

I had a great day yesterday, burned off about 700 calories walking and running. I have also discovered alcohol free beer! Only about 20 calories a bottle!!!

RubySlippers77 · 08/08/2019 14:53

Is anyone still going on here? I have three stone to lose and need help..... it was all going ok till we went on holiday and now my willpower has deserted me!!

theneverendinglaundry · 08/08/2019 14:58

I'm still going!!! Calorie counting (most days) and have started Couch to 5k. Lost 6lb so far.

RubySlippers77 · 08/08/2019 15:09

Ah well done!! How much are you aiming to lose?

I lost all my baby weight then piled it all back on, with some more for good measure Blush but it has to go by next summer when I have two weddings to attend 😱

theneverendinglaundry · 08/08/2019 15:33

Well I started at 12 stone, am currently 11 st 8, and am aiming for 11st at first. I'll then be in the 'healthy weight' BMI range.

I'd like to be lighter than 11st but want to take it one step a time. For me it's a lifestyle change rather than a diet, I need to be able to maintain it!

EvilHerbivore · 08/08/2019 16:42

Please help me guys - has a shocking weekend and vowed to be back on it this week, had a good Monday and Tuesday but have completely gone off the rails yesterday and today
This is what happens, I'm great as long as I'm consistently strict - one taste of 'forbidden fruit' and I'm eating all the kids lunch box snacks at midnight Blush
I need help getting back on it, I really want/need to do this

KickOffTheSundayShoes · 08/08/2019 22:02

I am joing in if you all don't mind! I am sick to the back teeth of feeling crap. I managed to stick to my calorie goals for a couple of weeks but have fallen off track.

I NEED to do this.

theneverendinglaundry · 09/08/2019 08:01

Dont worry about falling off track. Just stick to it as best you can. For me, it's a massive learning curve and its really hard to undo years of bad habits. I think it also takes a good few months before you see any noticable change.

slipperywhensparticus · 09/08/2019 08:06

I'm dropping in too I'm over eleven stone FUCKING 11 STONE I haven't weighed so much since I was pregnant and my youngest is six I need to lose two stone fast so I ate chocolate and crisps last night my will power sucks

RubySlippers77 · 09/08/2019 08:45

Same for me @EvilHerbivore, I thought I could just have a week of being fairly sensible whilst we were on holidays and get back to it..... nope, now I am craving all sorts of rubbish! Doesn't help that it's the school hols and there is no let up from the DC, or that it's AF time and I'm in constant pain, but even so.....

Dreading getting back on the scales tomorrow. DP is out tonight and I'd promised myself a takeaway but even that will make me feel guilty! I just need a good day to set myself up with some meal prepping and then hopefully will be back on the wagon again!!

Pinkiii · 09/08/2019 13:06

I also find it hard if I’m not consistent, summer is prob not the best time to start a diet as there is lots of family stuff going which means more waiting.

Im eating a lot of food but not as much on the snacks and the alcohol so i suppose thats something!?

EvilHerbivore · 09/08/2019 14:51

Right so far today I'm on it - better than yesterday where I literally started the day on biscuits!
I've hoovered the stairs and both bedrooms, that's got to have burnt some calories!

Oh my god, I messed up today. Undid all my good work.

Sainsburys chewy granola slices. Cant be that bad, i thought. Been for a run, 13,000 steps in total, I'll have 2.

368 calories per slice.

I'm really annoyed with myself!

RubySlippers77 · 10/08/2019 00:03

Oh dear laundry ☹️ what a pain about those being so high in calories! Is it because they have nuts/ syrup in them? I do like a granola slice but a lot of them have plenty of sugar in there!

You're right about the summer hols being hard work Pinkii - I feel like I'm constantly chasing my tail - no time to plan ahead and do some meal prep. If I get any child-free time I have to do some cleaning just to stop the house being tooooo filthy. Roll on September and my liberation from grumpy toddlers

Really disappointed in myself though that I can't get back into a 'diet' mentality. Before we went away I was happily pottering along following my plan and losing a pound or two a week and now I feel like I'm undoing all my good work Sad maybe once this horrific AF finishes my motivation will return...

theneverendinglaundry · 12/08/2019 06:30

I'm still 11st 8 today, haven't lost anything! Really annoying as I have been trying so hard this week (apart from those granola bars of course) and have been running 3 times. Oh well.

Seren10 · 13/08/2019 13:36

OK I officially suck. Have completely fallen off the wagon.

I go on holiday in 18 days - I need to lose at least a few pounds before then.

Shall weigh in tonight but I am terrified what it will say!

RubySlippers77 · 13/08/2019 14:27

I weighed in this morning and am the same as two weeks ago; not outstanding given that I have three stone to lose still but fine considering I've been on holiday!

Back on my diet now, day 2. Although with DTS1 having apparently developed insomnia and DTS2 being a scratching, biting, whining horror from tiredness after being kept awake, it's taken all my willpower today to not dive headfirst into a bar of Toblerone Sad

isittooearlyforgin · 16/08/2019 22:04

Omg! Just done week 5 run 3 on couch to 5k - 20 bloody minutes! I made it but a) exhausted b) where did that come from all of a sudden. Previous run 8 minutes longest. Crawling to lick wounds

theneverendinglaundry · 18/08/2019 09:48

Hows everyone doing? I haven't been calorie counting this week as I'm getting fed up with it. I am however still being careful about how many snacks I eat. I'm also still doing c25k, starting week 4 tomorrow!

theneverendinglaundry · 19/08/2019 06:42

11st 6 today! I'm very happy. When I started this, I was 12 st!

theneverendinglaundry · 19/08/2019 06:50

@isittooearlyforgin argh I am now dreading next week!! Haha.
