I'm fed up with being fat.

Anyone fancy joining me, starting from tomorrow with a weigh in?

It would be lovely to have some company.

I'm going to use today to stock up on healthy food and purchase some bathroom scales.

@snowspider1

I was once one of those naturally slim people that could eat anything, and then I had kids.

I do a lot of comfort eating.

I'm in. Got a meal out next Saturday and going on holiday the week after but will use it as an opportunity to make changes to everyday habits. After all, if I throw caution to the wind every time I go out I'll never lose anything so going to have to change those habits anyway.

Drinkandknowthings · 07/07/2019 15:03

I’m in! I have 30 pounds to lose (nice round number)

When it was hot 2 weeks ago I tried on a pair of shorts. They barely went up my legs and wouldn’t close. I have photos of when they used to have plenty of room on my legs in them!

I’ve cut back on the gin & wine and am going to do 4:3.

Exercise wise I’m doing an at-home workout called T25 which is just 25 mins at day 5 days a week.

Spinosaur · 07/07/2019 15:20

I am really bad after 4pm. I also used to exercise but have lost my motivation and have become so squishy my kids think it is funny to wobble my arms. I am considering the Fast800 and wondered if it worth the money for the 12 weeks - does anybody have any experience of this? I have a habit of starting things and not continuing them. I am really sad about the state I am in and am looking for a manageable path that will fit in with family life and meals.

NewStartYetAgain · 07/07/2019 17:20

My binge time is when we get home from school, the kids have a snack and it's just downhill from there on! Must be more conscious this week to snack in a keto friendly way.

Have also just invested in some apple cider vinegar tablets after a relative commented lately he has lost a stone taking them but not really changing much else. He bought them originally as he suffers from gout, which has also improved, the weight loss for him has been a happy accident!

Pinkiii · 07/07/2019 18:25

Hi all

Can I join?

Have about 2 stone to lose, keep starting and see no difference so i give up but I can’t keep going at the rate im going cause im piling it on so quickly!

Like most of you snacking in the eve ings seems to be my downfall so going to cut back on all of that and be aware of my portion sizes cause o have huge portions! Blush

snowspider1 · 07/07/2019 18:58

@sevenandeight

I've never been that person unfortunately! However, since having kids it's much harder due to weight gain, comfort eating, being time poor and tired all the time!

Doseydots · 07/07/2019 20:08

I am in. I have said it now so I that’s it. I need to lose game a stone which doesn’t sound a lot but I need to sort my binging and sugar addiction out.

From tomorrow I will do 16:8, no S, and log my food everyday.

Also ‘newstart’ I am going to google apple cider tablets. I love a supplement Wink

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 07/07/2019 20:17

Ooh can I join too? Think I could do with losing about 2 stone. DS is now 9.5 months and I need to get back into gear. I have no off button and bad binge habits especially emotional eating. This has come at a good time as I made the decision yesterday when feeling totally gross that it was time for a change ! Bingeing doesn’t make me feel good but it’s hard to remember that at weak moments !! Weigh in tomorrow morning then!

DPJ1973 · 07/07/2019 20:29

Every Sunday night I promise myself I wont spend another weekend binge eating. I've gone from a svelte size 8 to a solid 12. If I could maintain at a 10 I'd be happy. Binge eating support would be lovely.

loverofpants · 07/07/2019 20:32

Can I get involved? I'm terrible for eating poorly and being lazy. I need to lose around 3 stone. I am going away for three weeks on Wednesday though which I'm worried about, I don't want to come back even bigger.

What's the difference between 5:2, 16:8 etc there seems to be so many different plans ?

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 07/07/2019 21:36

Eek I got over excited and weighed myself this evening - I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been agh!!!

WalkAwaySugarbear · 07/07/2019 21:47

I'm in.
I started last week and I'm a kilo down. I stopped drinking alcohol in May and was rather hoping the weight would magically melt off, it hasn't.
I started a low carb 16:8 (12-8 window) last Mon. I'm 1kg down, another 19 to go. I feel loads better eating more veg, the bread bloat has gone.

ElizabethG81 · 07/07/2019 21:49

I'm in. Think I want to lose about 2 stone, ideally maybe 2.5-3, but I'll see how it feels once I get 2 off. I had success with the Blood Sugar Diet last year but put it all back on. I've been trying to get started again since the beginning of the year but not been able to stick to anything, largely due to a lot of stress at work (how I long to be someone who goes off their food when stressed!)

I've now finished that job and have an 8 week break before I start the new one, so want to really use this time to lose the weight and get fit. I've bought an exercise bike this weekend so no excuses now!

I'll weigh in in the morning Shock

EvilHerbivore · 07/07/2019 22:05

2chubbycubs is also good for SW/low cal meal ideas, they've got a cookbook coming out soon too

So assuming I don't go on a binge of the kids biscuits (and I'm not promising anything!) I'm ending the day on 1251 calories, fairly happy with that

Ihatesandwiches · 07/07/2019 22:52

I found the scales under the bed. I need to lose 2 stone. A friend took a photo of DP and I today and ... great legs, apple tummy :-(

thisisgettingridiculous · 07/07/2019 22:58

I will join. Honestly, I need to lose 6 stone. I am horrified to write that but I have to start somewhere.

I am a binge eater for comfort and boredom. I am constantly knackered and do very little exercise. I also snack in my office as my colleagues bring in unhealthy food. I have a deeply warped relationship with food and crave carbs and sugar. Not good at all but here we are.

Good luck!

sevenandeight · 08/07/2019 05:48

God morning all, welcome to day one.

I woke up and had a panic about doing this, but needs must.

I'm off for a shower and I will weigh myself and report back.

I'm scared of the scales!

Awake early and weighed myself. I am 13st 5lb. That is heavier than I have ever been. I plan to try and do my fast days on a Monday and Thursday so today will be 500 calories. I will report back later on how I manage this. Good luck everyone.

sevenandeight · 08/07/2019 05:55

@Apolloanddaphne Good luck today.

Ihatesandwiches · 08/07/2019 07:16

Good morning @sevenandeight
I'm starting at 11 stone 11 pounds. Better than expected but i still need to lose 1.5 stone to feel "healrhy" again. Hope Day 1 goes well for you! I'm off to make a healthy packed lunch :-)

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 08/07/2019 07:26

I’m starting at 10st 13. Good luck everyone! Had a peppermint tea last night instead of the chocolate I craved. Might stock up on more ‘exciting’ teas for snacks lol!

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 08/07/2019 07:26

Shall we aim for weekly weigh ins?
