I'm fed up with being fat.

Anyone fancy joining me, starting from tomorrow with a weigh in?

It would be lovely to have some company.

I'm going to use today to stock up on healthy food and purchase some bathroom scales.

MilesFlora · 29/07/2019 15:32

Will check in tomorrow, forgot to weigh in today (was on holidays last week so dreading a big gain Blush)

LollipopViolet · 30/07/2019 09:16

Can I join you? Just had a nasty wake up call. Got some new size 16 trousers for a job interview today and they're unbearably tight. Got out my size 18s and they're also getting tight :(

Honestly, could cry. But I won't, instead I'll finish getting ready and get this interview done. Then I can deal with the horror that is my body :(

MilesFlora · 30/07/2019 10:54

Nice to see new people Smile Hope your interview went well LollipopViolet.

So after a week of holidays I’m only up a quarter of a lb so I’m a bit relieved as I indulged a bit while away. Back on the straight and narrow now. This is going to be a long and slow process for me.

Week 1: 10st 7lbs
Week 2: 10st 4.75lbs (-2.25lbs)
Week 3: 10st 5lbs (+0.25lb)
Week 4: 10st 5.25lbs (+0.25lb)

Just weighed in - I've lost 10lbs since I started (4 weeks tomorrow) so feeling ok, just takes so bloody long doesn't it?!
I bet I could put half a stone on in less than a week but it's 3 weeks hard graft getting it back off again

theneverendinglaundry · 31/07/2019 12:05

@evilherbivore that's great, well done!

Yes I feel like I've been doing this months but it's only been 2-3 weeks since I made the decision to lose weight!

On monday I started Couch 2 5k. I have never ran or done any kind of proper exercise in my life. I really hope I keep it up, strangely quite enjoyed it!

Interview was good, thank you
The last day I've been really conscious of my food choices - I'm off for a meal out on Monday so need to be good til then.

Interestingly, I discovered my size 18s had a popped seam, so found a stretchy pair of 14s from the same shop, and they fit! Clothes sizing is weird!

Will weigh in on Monday to get my starting weight.

theneverendinglaundry · 01/08/2019 12:54

Oh gosh, I made the mistake of having pizza for lunch. I tried to be good, still ate around 700 calories and I'm still hungry 😭

Pinkiii · 01/08/2019 14:15

i’ve had a lot or family events going on so have kind of fallen off the wagon, but trying to be good again

LollipopViolet · 02/08/2019 15:49

So my period turned up today. Possibly explains the trouser situation and my complete overreaction to it. Annoying though as I want to eat every carb on the planet when I have it.

isittooearlyforgin · 02/08/2019 18:58

Hi there! Can I join too? Been quite obliviously overweight for a couple of years now having lost lots in the past. I don’t seem to find losing weight difficult once I’m in the right mind set as it’s so motivating watching the weight fall off but keeping it off is another matter!
@theneverendinglaundry I’ve just started couch to 5k too. How are you finding it?

theneverendinglaundry · 02/08/2019 19:30

Hi @isittooearlyforgin ! I've just completed week 1 and I have to say I'm enjoying it! I didn't think I would, but I am! Are you on week 1 too?

EvilHerbivore · 02/08/2019 21:34

Had a reasonable week but got an all day eating and drinking based work event tomorrow - I always fall off the wagon spectacularly at events and find it so hard to get back on it, I'm so much better when it's just day to day life to cope with
Any tips anyone?

isittooearlyforgin · 02/08/2019 23:55

@theneverendinglaundry yes just finished week 1 and beginning of week 2. Not as bad as I thought though my calves were quite painful. I think the running does make you feel less likely to fall off the wagon

theneverendinglaundry · 04/08/2019 08:54

@isittooearlyforgin the muscles at the top of my thighs inside my leg really hurt after W1R3, but I'm going to power on with week 2 tomorrow.

I indulged a bit last night, had half a bottle of wine and some crisps. Had a hard day with the 3 year old. Clocked around 2100 calories in total yesterday but went on a big walk and my usual running around after the kids so hoping that balances things out a bit!

isittooearlyforgin · 04/08/2019 15:50

@theneverendinglaundry am on week 3 which has a 3 minute run. I thought I would die but then I thought I would die after 1 minute in week 1 so It does get easier although lower legs still ache. Keep going!

theneverendinglaundry · 04/08/2019 16:38

How did you get on at the event, @evilherbivore?

theneverendinglaundry · 04/08/2019 16:39

I'm actually looking forward to it tomorrow, @isittooearlyforgin!

EvilHerbivore · 04/08/2019 17:14

@theneverendinglaundry I've spent all day with a hangover and ordered dominos to cure the carb/salt craving! 🙈
Totally back on it tomorrow though

theneverendinglaundry · 04/08/2019 19:21

@evilherbivore oh no! 😂 I really love domino's.

theneverendinglaundry · 05/08/2019 06:55

I'm very happy this morning, I've lost 2 pounds this week. Now 11st 8!! I think the running definitely helps.
