Cannot find even 1% motivation to lose weight but need to

I’ve been steadily gaining for a while now and don’t even know how much exactly as not weighed but I look and feel like crap.

I’m 5’6 and a size 16 now.
The more like crap I feel the less motivation I can find to change anything

I’m waiting for probably another gynae op, I keep telling myself even after the 1st one that I would change my ways and did nothing! I’m vit D deficient (on treatment), anaemic (on treatment)

I have a sedate desk job and I eat LOADS.
I have heartburn (on tablets) and have asthma which isn’t helped by lugging my weight around

My biggest problem seems to be stress related eating and drinking. Right now I have a mega bag of sweets in my handbag and will not flinch at eating them for breakfast!

I’m out of control. How can I get control back? Any advice?

A medium Big Mac meal is all your day's calories?? Shock Shock and presumably all that is the fries and burger! I'm a vegetarian but can't imagine the McDonald's veggie choices are that much healthier Sad

School hols are tricky here too, don't get time for proper cooking, house is a constant tip, DTs want attention all the time (I'm writing this with one of them climbing all over me!). I desperately need to rethink my holiday survival tactics - can't imagine coping with them like this for six weeks!!

Off on holiday this weekend, back next weekend, will be starting healthy eating in earnest when we get back as I'm so fed up of being this big. DTS1's ear infection has returned and he's a grumpy, tantrumming nightmare who hardly lets me get any sleep, I have no idea when I'd find exercise time. But at the same time I'm off to a funeral soon and wearing my old maternity trousers which isn't ideal - size wise and the fact that the seam of the trousers now sits right on my c section scar - ouch!

How are you doing @PookieDo?

Toli · 03/06/2019 20:15

Please oh please can I join? I can't take it too strongly as I'm two weeks pp but I'd love to shift some of the weight through diet and upping the walking? Weighing in to begin with at 12st 4lb.

I will post more soon but on holiday at the moment... knackered after running round after the DC a lot, but probably over indulging in Cake to make up for it!!

I’m feeling exactly the same. Want to lose weight but can’t seem to get motivated.

Have bought nice summer clothes in size 16 instead. Feel so much better!

Makes me think sod it! My body obviously likes being bigger, why fight it!

RubySlippers77 · 10/06/2019 12:09

I had to buy bigger clothes too Thunder and it does help in a way. It's awful feeling fat and hot and having nothing that fits!

Just been to visit my DM though (DP live a long way away, it's months since I've seen them) and she's now suffering lots of health issues because of her size - I can definitely see myself heading down that road Sad my DF's side of the family are all skinny minnies but sadly I don't take after them! My DM is almost immobile now from ignoring various problems and carrying on eating as if she was fit and active, which then makes her weight worse and makes her more immobile, it's a vicious circle.....

Once all the post-holiday washing and tidying is done I'll be looking for my motivation again. It's a sad thing to say but I really don't want to end up like my DM!
