Hi all, made a new thread as the last one filled up so quickly and I'm still bloody massive!Grin

Rules are: be kind, no judging, have a sense of humour, weigh on Wednesday mornings... and no training with Amanda Grin

@YouBoggleMyMind @recklessgran @MrsMummyBx @emilyjeff and others! Here's a brand new spanking thread.

New starting weight: 14st exactly.

I'm still here and still fat 😂

MoonNoodles · 04/09/2019 09:49

I think its smart not to weigh in then @TinselAndKnickers also I hope you have a happy birthday!

Down 1 lb. So back where I was on the 18th of August which feels a bit discouraging but trying to stay positive. Its a marathon, life has setbacks, etc.

How is everyone else doing?

emilyjeff · 04/09/2019 10:01

Morning all
Happy birthday tinsel and good news about the job
I was 10st 10.5 today so a very small loss. Went for a run yesterday morning and it was awful, my legs didnt want to work! Thinking I might try a bike ride tomorrow to mix it up a bit. Other than that feeling quite motivated for weight loss ready for my holiday

TinselAndKnickers · 04/09/2019 22:46

Thank you!

Well done on the losses x

Hi ladies, sooooo sorry for the absence, I’m so happy to see everyone is still messaging. I’ve been totally rubbish - life has been really hectic the past few months and I haven’t been on MN since May I think! How are you all? Tinsel I’ve just seen above that you broke up with your other half- really sorry to hear that. Sending you a big hug! How is everyone else?x

emilyjeff · 09/09/2019 10:08

Hi mummyB nice to see you back :)
Its been quite quiet on here of late.
All good with me, just back from a weekend caravanning and managed to control my eating pretty well so feeling quite pleased with myself as weekends is normally when I go off the rails! Also did parkrun near to where we were staying.
Hope everyone else had a good weekend x

recklessgran · 09/09/2019 16:45

Just popping on to say Hi! Back from my holiday in Ibiza nice and brown and fat!! Oh well, I'm sure it will be ANOTHER gain for me this Wednesday. I'm going to try the alternate day fasting thing to see if that works. Will see what the damage is on Wednesday first of all and make a fresh start after that. Hoping to end the year with the stone finally gone but not holding my breath on that one! We have a week in the Canaries booked for the first week in December so I'm really hoping I can make some inroads by then. Some of my holiday clothes are feeling snug and I had to make an emergency shorts purchase for Ibiza as I couldn't get the 16's I had done up. [The shame of having to buy a size 18 gave me a bit of a jolt.]
Glad to see you back here @MrsMummyBx - when is your little one due? You must be a fair way on now - how exciting!

emilyjeff · 11/09/2019 11:50

Hi, nice to see you back reckless hope your holiday was fab
I weighed 10st 12 this morning :( kind of disappointed but its nearly that time of the month so hoping that is to blame for the slight gain as I thought I was doing quite well.
How did everyone else get on? x

recklessgran · 11/09/2019 12:51

Thanks@emily - it's gone very quiet here but I'm back with a massive gain so I'm posting daily from now on as that seems to give the best results - being accountable and all that!
My weight this morning was a massive 13st 9lbs.
Gawd. Gotta get my shit together. No more nonsense here!
So far today I have eaten nothing so may make this a fast day or at least VLC.

MoonNoodles · 11/09/2019 14:02

Hi all! I have lost 1.5lbs so thats good.

I hope you had a nice holiday @recklessgran I was thinking the other day that I miss your daily diaries.

Sorry been quiet. I've been in my own head a lot recently. Settled into new job but the stress level is so much lower than last one that I am a bit bored. Having to really resist boredom eating. Also just a bit down. We are in month 9 and the telling myself its a process and a marathon and to keep going forward is getting really ugh. And so then I want to drown in chocolate and thats another struggle. I have worked so hard. And I can see that I look different and my clothes fit different or are too big but still have a ways to go. Ugh maybe I need a new mini goal?

recklessgran · 11/09/2019 14:17

Ah @MoonNoodle I'm sorry you're feeling down - big hug from here. Just keep telling yourself that less stress is good for baby making! I completely get what you mean about boredom eating - I seem to do a lot of mindless snacking at my desk. I think too much time sitting at my desk is in fact part of my problem. I'm going to have to start exercising and I think that I will post that along with my eats. No kidding I'm sure that I only do a couple of hundred steps a day at the moment - especially during the week. Perhaps the shame of having to post "exercise nil" will force me to go out for a walk round the village or something.

TinselAndKnickers · 11/09/2019 22:07

So glad you're back reckless!! Hope you had a fab holiday Grin

MoonNoodles I feel the same - been very quiet on here recently.

Sorry everyone! Still getting back to my old self and also started my new job so until I'm more settled I'm going to just not pressure to lose any more weight Grin although i would like to! I'm going to have to work hard to weigh and meal prep etc, get back into calorie counting as it's the only thing that works for me

Morning all.
Food for yesterday;
1 slice wholemeal toast with 3 thin slices of cheese.
Grilled plaice fillet with side salad.
Numerous cups of tea,
Exercise nil.
Plenty of room for improvement!

MrsMummyBx · 13/09/2019 08:44

Hi lovely ladies! @recklessgran my bubba is due early December but I’m having a c section so will be v end November - not long to go! Making the most of time before the bubba arrives! As soon as I’ve popped I’m going to try and get back on the diet as I’ve lost all self control during the pregnancy and eating so badly. Hoping that some breastfeeding will help me drop weight!!

recklessgran · 13/09/2019 09:37

Morning all.
Food yesterday
2 slices small wholemeal toast with laughing cow light [instead of Lurpak] and marmite
2 chipolatas and roast veg.
1 mini bag chocolate buttons - about 80 calories I think]
2 Digestive biscuits.
Numerous cups of tea.
Exercise - walked for an hour not very quickly so about 2 miles I guess. I've ordered a pedometer from Amazon - about time I did my 10,000 steps. I'm prepared to be shocked by how little I move and am wondering if that is part of the whole problem with me. We're looking after DGD this evening whilst DD goes out so if it's nice we might take her to the country park for a run around.
DD5 is coming tomorrow evening after work so she'll be looking for some good old fashioned home cooked dinners. DD1 is coming for a couple of days on Monday. She'll be fine as long as I've stocked up on Jammie Dodgers and ham!
Otherwise nothing much planned for the weekend. Anyone doing anything nice?
Off out now for my usual Friday lunch in the pub with g/f. She's house hunting [downsizing] so we'll have plenty to talk about.

emilyjeff · 13/09/2019 12:39

Hi ladies. Pedometer is a great idea reckless I have a fitbit and I love it. On work days I usually only do about 1500 steps and I find that motivates me to have a walk or something in the evening.
I went for a run yesterday morning and hurt something at the top of my leg/ hip...google tells me its called a hip flexor? Its only my left side that hurts but its kind of annoying as I think I'll need to rest it for a bit now.
We are off on our cruise on sunday!! Kind of disappointed that I didnt do better on the pre holiday weight loss but I'm really gonna try my hardest not to overindulge as we are going for two weeks, I could end up putting a serous amount of weight on x

TinselAndKnickers · 14/09/2019 09:48

13st 4lb today so 1lb lost since my last check in. Not sure how as I've been eating absolute shit!

YouBoggleMyMind · 14/09/2019 09:49

Good job Tinsel 👌🏼

recklessgran · 14/09/2019 10:35

Morning all.
Food for yesterday.
Bacon and egg sandwich with 2xJD and cokes [Pub lunch!]
Half a J.P. [no butter] with tablespoon of chilli on top with side salad.
1 jammie dodger and 1 digestive. [Naughty]
Usual tea drip.....
Exercise;
Walked round town for 3 hours - does that count as exercise?
Took DGD for long walk to try to get rid of some of her energy. Ha! Ha! Failed.
Glad everyone is doing O.K. - tinsel I'm in awe of you, you're doing so well!
I hope you have the best time on your cruise emily.
I'm just off to M&S food which is quite a dangerous outing let's face it. After that I'm blitzing the house as I haven't done much in the way of cleaning since we got back from holiday.
This afternoon we're going to the garden centre hoping for winter pansies for the hanging baskets and I need a couple of hundred crocus bulbs which I'm going to naturalise in the front lawn.
The sun is shining here so I hope everyone has a good day.
Catch up later.

MoonNoodles · 16/09/2019 12:47

Hi all,

@emilyjeff I hope you have a nice cruise!

@recklessgran a pedometer sounds brilliant. I love my fitbit for that. Plus other reasons but mostly that.

Good work @tinselandknickers

Injured myself yesterday pretty badly. Debating going to the urgent care walk-in (its not a&e!) As my GP told me to when I tried to get an appointment as they think I will likely need an x-ray. Its a lot less blue today but still super swollen and really painful. I can put weight on it (hurts a lot though) but apparently that doesnt necessarily mean its okay. Ugh. What to do, what to do.

MoonNoodles · 17/09/2019 10:53

Update: got it checked out and xrayed this morning and its not broken! Just super injured will likely take 10 days to 2 weeks to heal. In the meantime I have to stay off it. Going to have to figure out a seated workout or something. Hmmm...

recklessgran · 18/09/2019 10:48

Morning all this Weigh Day Wednesday
Last week 13st 9lbs
Today 13st 7.25lbs
So that's a 1.75lb loss for me and I'm happy with that I must say.
@MoonNoodles that sounds awful you poor thing! I hope you feel better soon!

MoonNoodles · 18/09/2019 15:55

Yay! Congrats @recklessgran

It hurts a lot but isnt broken so should heal in 10-14 days so am hoping soon.

Wednesday weigh in results: Down 2 lbs! Which is awesome.

Also had a full body analysis today done. Was interesting to see. Really wish I had done this last year so I can see my progress in that way but am trying to use it as motivation to keep moving forward so I can do it next year and have even better results.

TinselAndKnickers · 18/09/2019 21:43

Having some health problems atm so not going to weigh as it's not good (going down at a rapid rate is rather scary)

Congrats reckless and well done and so glad you are okay Moon!!

recklessgran · 18/09/2019 22:49

Crumbs @TinselAndKnickers I'm sorry you're not feeling well at the moment - hugs for you.
@MoonNoodles well done that's a big loss! Hope you're not in too much pain now.
I'm going into hospital next week for an op on my shoulder so hoping the pain might put me off my food for a couple of days. Nothing to worry about, just going for a scan on Monday so the surgeon can see what he's dealing with and then hopefully just an overnighter and I'll be back! Sling for a few days and then physio - hopefully that will put an end to months of pain.
Food for today;
Small ham sandwich
Quiche and roast vegetables
Numerous cups of tea.
