It is my weigh day tomorrow.

Not been too bad today.

Cocolapew · 10/05/2019 08:05

Well my weight didn't go as planned, the battery is low and I got 6 different readings, none of them acceptable Grin.
Ill try again on Monday with a newe battery.
Good luck for today Star

@Cocolapew this happened to me a few weeks ago. I decided to buy new scales as a new battery was quite expensive. Got a fancy pair from Argos that tell you body fat, water weight, bmi etc for only £12.99.

I lost 1.5lbs this week.

Frankel9 · 10/05/2019 09:04

Hi, weighed and I have lost 2 lbs since yesterday, stuck to no carbs, coffee, fish and lots of veg. Forced myself to do 30 mins on treadmill to try and lift my mood. It did help. Friday is my busiest day of the week which will distract me nicely. One meal planned for today, lentils and veg. Have a good day everyone.

MiaCulper · 10/05/2019 09:25

Well done, jimmy and Frankel.

I am a pound down from this time last week, which isn’t too bad with bank holiday and birthday in there. Still not back in the 10s though. Chuh.

jimmychoux · 10/05/2019 09:40

Well done @Frankel9 and @MiaCulper

jimmychoux · 10/05/2019 14:39

I have just had a jacket potato with cheese. I had forgotten how good they are. Not had one in ages.

Cocolapew · 10/05/2019 20:41

Well done Jimmy Frankel and Mia 🥳.
I went for a 40 minute walk tonight, first for a few months, so I'm going to try to walk a bit every night now. I used to walk my dog but she's too lame to go far now Sad.
Ate more than usual but don't care, I need to concentrate on getting healthier and to stop obsessing about what I'm eating atm.
Feeling quite positive for some reason Hmm

Weight in this morning and a pound off 😯!
Hope everyone gets a bit of sunshine today, if the rain stays off here I'm going to walk into town andnot buy an ice cream.

jimmychoux · 11/05/2019 08:49

@Cocolapew well done on your weight loss.

Enjoy your walk into town and avoid the ice cream. It's cold here right now but the sun is due this afternoon.

How's everyone doing?

Frankel9 · 11/05/2019 10:33

Hi everyone, very cold and grey here. Congrats Mia, Jimmy and Coco.

DD lost out on a medal in a competition yesterday to someone in a U13 category who is 14. Closest she has every gotten to a medal. Ridiculously cross about it, I know get a grip Frankel! Luckily DD has no idea and I did not intervene as they are just children. Coach knew but turned a blind eye. Anyhow it did mean I did a very angry quite fast for me 40 minute run this morning when I usually plod for 30 mins. Feel much better now. Period rumbles on. Was strict yesterday and feel less huge. Boiled egg for breakfast, skipping lunch, chicken and green veg for dinner, allowing myself a gin and tonic tonight. Feeling determined.

Cocolapew · 11/05/2019 12:02

Thanks Smile
Frankel that's ridiculous, your poor DD Angry

MiaCulper · 12/05/2019 07:07

How unfair, Frankel. I would be cross too.

Felt a bit unwell yesterday and didn’t really fancy eating much. Pound off this morning. Shock. Is this what I’ve got to do? Actually starve?

Still not feeling right but the sun has finally made it to this part of the country so will get out for fresh air and Vitamin D. Have good days, everyone.

Cocolapew · 12/05/2019 21:48

Hope you're feeling better Mia.
Haven't ate great but have started to walk. 4 miles yesterday and worked in the garden and had a walk earlier. By worked in the garden I mean spent hours removing weeds and cleaning the patio. I don't do flowers Hmm

Much better, thanks, coco

Went for a walk in the countryside yesterday. Unfortunately, there was cake at the end. Whoops.

SATs at school this week and I’m invigilating.

Frankel9 · 14/05/2019 09:52

Hi all, Sunday was a very foody family day and then yesterday I was hungry as my appetite increased after Sundays merriment. Sighs. This is what happens, strict for 4 days and lose weight, have a jolly weekend and regain weight lost. The stupidest bit is I actually feel a lot better on my strict days than on my foody/carby days so why do it? Period finally finished hurrah! Today's meals are scrambled eggs for breakfast, small ham salad for lunch, salmon and veg for dinner. Beautiful day here. In desperation I bought a couple of new minimiser bras from M&S and they are so comfortable, unsexy as hell but it is so good to be comfy. Have a good day everyone.

Cocolapew · 15/05/2019 10:18

Hows everyone doing?
I was told i was fading away this morning Grin, I'm not so I'm going to have to wear this outfit forever.

Gaining and losing the same pound over and over. Can’t quite get my head in the right place this week.

Cocolapew · 16/05/2019 08:05

I keep losing and putting on 2llbs.
I'm going to stop for a couple of weeks and restart to see if that helps.
This might be the weight I'm stuck at Hmm

Coco I have lost and gained the same 2lbs since June last year! Lost 3 stones, but wanted another 2/3 off to see me in a new stone 'bracket' pure vanity reasons and despite dieting consistently since then I'm still 10.3!! I think they call it 'maintenance'!! I call it annoying. However, I'm a whole dress size smaller now than I was then and more muscular from exercise, but I definitely think this is my body's preferred weight.

Cocolapew · 17/05/2019 13:11

I was talking about this in work, the bloke I work with is totally dedicated to eating well and training. He knows all his calories in and out. Exercises for a hours a day. And still gets stuck at the same weight
He came of his healthy eating for a weekend and put weight back on Confused. I can't see how that was even possible he didn't eat for the entire weekend, just normal bbq type stuff.

MiaCulper · 17/05/2019 14:05

10.3 was my happy weight for the last twenty years. The closest I’ve got is 10.13 lately. Perhaps this is my new weight? I don’t like it. None of my clothes fit comfortably.

Yesterday, I ate like a normal person. Not avoiding stuff, but not over-eating. Two and a half pounds on this morning. Ffs. Feeling a bit low at the thought that to be happy in my post-menopausal body, I will have to be constantly vigilant around food.

Toying with different ideas for changing my diet. I think we might go meat free for a while. The carnivorous males have not rejected the idea, surprisingly, but as the cook, I am put off by the hours spent peeling and chopping to produce really nice veggie food.

Cocolapew · 18/05/2019 10:50

That's what i don't understand. You need to eat about 3000 calories to put a pound of fat on.
Eating normally for a day or two shouldn't do it. It must be fluid.

OP posts:
MiaCulper · 19/05/2019 17:28

HAve you all had good weekends?

I have a plan of sorts. We are going “meat free” while DD is doing her A level exams. This way, I will know that she is eating well and not living on Quorn chicken nuggets and crisps. I will cook but am insisting that we all eat together every night. We always used to, but it’s slipped over the last year or so as teens have developed their own ideas/got jobs/balked at leaving the phones for 30 seconds...

Going to limit processed, carby foods but am going to have fruit again. And perhaps a jacket potato now and again.

Also swapping to soya milk. Supposed to be good for menopause symptoms, I’ve heard.

MiaCulper · 19/05/2019 17:31

Oh, and calorie counting/tracking. Not manically, because I lose interest after a couple of days, but just being a bit more aware of calories in vs. calories out.
