@Cocolapew no I didn't get an ice cream headache, I got ice cream teeth ache instead. 🍦

Cocolapew · 01/05/2019 19:26

Sad that'll teach you Grin.
I work with a woman who is trying to lose weight, we're driving the others in the class mad with talking about food, what we're going to eat and when.

I'm feeling a bit wobbly, last week I felt more solid.
Am I liquifying?

Me! Would like to lose about a stone. Just going to stop comfort eating and do a bit more exercise. This popping up in threads I'm on will be motivation hopefully 😊

Good morning, everyone. Very grey and damp here today; more like November than May.

DH has just announced that he has hit his goal weight. Annoying. We started at the same time and had more or less the same amount to lose. He has become quite evangelical about low carbing. Glad I don’t have to share an office with him.

Cocolapew · 02/05/2019 07:31

How annoying Mia, DH always loses weight quickly too.
I'm off work today so I'm going to take DD to college, she's doing beauty therapy, and she's giving me a pedicure and a facial. So even if I don't lose weight I'll have nice feet at least.
Thinking I might start calorie counting. I'm not sure I can be trusted left to my own devices.
Good luck for today everyone Star

This is my 4th day sugar free, I'm about 3.5lbs down now and 3.5 to go! I think I need to calorie count too, coco as now I'm over the throes of detox I probably need to monitor my cheese consumption.

MiaCulper · 02/05/2019 07:57

THat sounds lovely, coco. I don’t like being touched but if it were my DD, I could handle it!

That’s a great loss, bear, well done. My scales aren’t budging at all but I feel less stodgy, IYKWIM. And despite the bleeding, I am feeling much more positive with this new HRT and no joint pain. Winning.

Scarcelyburnt · 02/05/2019 08:20

This is my 4th day. I'm not dieting strictly just upping my exercise. I'm also not checking my weight. I'm looking at measurements so no change so far.

jimmychoux · 02/05/2019 08:38

Beautiful sunny day here today.

I made an effort this morning to put make up on and I curled my hair. I look so much better. I'm going to try and keep it up.

Today's mission is to sand my feet using my new electric foot sander thingy which I bought yesterday. I also bought a new nail polish.

What are your plans for today.

I won't be eating ice cream today that's for sure!

Cocolapew · 02/05/2019 12:49

Since starting the course DD has realised she doesn't like touching people very much HmmGrin.
I have an awful feeling the scales won't have moved much, if any, but I'm definitely not as bloated and tired.

Ha ha coco. Poor thing, she’ll have to specialise in airbrush fake tans. That’s actually the only non-contact beauty treatment I can think of.

Have any of you tried Footner? I did it at the start of the Easter holidays and it was amazing. Took about ten days to shed all the dead skin.

Not feeling confident for tomorrow’s weigh in. Too much cheese.

Cocolapew · 02/05/2019 19:51

I used footner last year it was epic, my friend used one from Poundland and suffered terrible burns with it. She had to wear flipflops for weeks Shock
My toes are looking v pretty with my french manicure. Pity I never wear sandals because of the horror that is my second toes.
I think I might put off weighting until next year

I’m back in socks and boots today, and Weather Carol said it was going to get even colder tomorrow.

I might have to use tomorrow’s weight as an official start weight. I suspect it will be same as or more than last Friday.

MiaCulper · 03/05/2019 08:55

1 and a half pounds off from this time last week. Which is fine, I suppose. Bit fed up because I was another pound and a half lower mid week (after the egg fast).

I don’t know if I can stick to low carb any longer. I’ve been at or around this weight for 7 weeks now; losing and gaining the same three pounds while denying myself so many foods. I need to have a think about what to try to make a difference. If anyone has any top tips for me, I’d be grateful! Bit fed up and disheartened by just how hard this is post-50.

jimmychoux · 03/05/2019 09:29

I actually can't believe I'm writing this. I triple checked.

I have lost 7lbs since last Friday.

Cocolapew · 03/05/2019 09:42

Well done Jimmy Star, I'm buying ice cream later, you've stumbled on to a new diet Shock that's fantastic!
Mia that's great but I understand your frustration, I struggle to get into the 10 stones. What about calorie counting? I find I don't feel like Im missing out doing that because I eat what I want as long as I stay under my daily allowance.

I've only lost a pound but Im happy, that's been in 4 days rather than 7 and I haven't felt like I've starved myself or missed out.
Good luck for the rest of the Friday weight ins Flowers

Miaculper are you doing any weight training or resistance exercises? You shoukd try building that in. I find dieting really hard. So I just eat normally but reduce portions. I find this easier to manage.

jimmychoux · 03/05/2019 10:14

@Cocolapew thanks. Wouldn't it be great if you could live on ice cream and lose weight Grin

Cocolapew · 03/05/2019 14:48

You're the threads diet guru jimmy Grin

Guru Jimmy!

jimmychoux · 03/05/2019 15:36

I think what has made the biggest difference is that I'm doing 16-8 so I only eat between 10 and 6.

Once 6 o'clock comes that's it, kitchen closed.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/05/2019 15:53

Look up emi Wong on YouTube if you're looking for good beginners hiit/strengthening workouts. She does some really good 10/15 minute whole body ones (I like had no jumping ones because I can do them without trainers on) and they are really accessible and fun to do. Strangely addictive. My plan is to do one every day for the next 3 weeks before I go on holiday.

dementedma · 03/05/2019 16:53

mia we must be soul sisters. Mid 50s and struggle to lose it and also end up doing multiple meals. Well, multiple demand for meals. DS hates veggies apaet from one or two, DD is vegetarian. I have solved the issue by telling them to cook their own bloody meals then. DS is living on pizza.Grin
A good low carb day so far today
