It's very good for your good gut bacteria so I think actually does have some scientific backing for health, if not weightloss.

Cocolapew · 30/04/2019 17:07

you can also use it for cleaning 🙀

OP posts:
MiaCulper · 30/04/2019 17:15

Cleaning? Oh no, I don’t want to be doing any of that nonsense.

I tried the pint of water new. It just seemed to prolong the horror.

In other news, I have got a period. Well, unlikely to be an actual period, 11 months since my last one, but some sort of bleed. Rather caught me out. Change of HRT? Or oestrogen from diminishing fat cells? Whatever it is, I am not impressed. Really thought I was done with this nonsense.

JanieClay · 30/04/2019 17:38

My teen DD told me to drink a shot of apple cider vinegar half an hour before eating. She got this “top tip” of Instagram. 🤔 Fuck, but it is disgusting. It BURNS.

I'll be laughing myself healthier at this rate!

I had some weird blood thing the other day after about three days of period pains. A bit like you, Mia, I've not had a real period for months. Towards the end I thought I'd been inhabited by alien. Oh gawd...it was bleedin' gruesome!!

Had porridge today, an apple and a banana. Not trying to under eat, but like a complete food addict, I had a burger and half a portion of fries last night(after being mindful for 10 days) which found it's way back out at 5am this morning. Not upchucked for a long time and now all the blood vessels in my face have burst - I look like I've done ten rounds with Tyson!

So yes, a bit afraid to eat, especially late in the evening. Apparently I have a haitus hernia. Nice.

Decormad38 · 30/04/2019 17:41

Me too. Ive cut out bread, cakes, wine, sugar. Going to have at least one day where i just have 800 calories too.

JanieClay · 30/04/2019 17:52

Hi OTI: I'm going to eat as though I was a size 8 waif and hopefully one day I'll resemble one.

Your comment cracked me up! Grin

JanieClay · 30/04/2019 17:55

Damn you bread!

Good for you. Keep it up - it would be really encouraging if there were some successes to read about in here in a few weeks time.

Was doing well until had to attend work event this evening. Nothing low carb on offer so had to have sandwiches and a wrap as was starving! Need to get below 12 stone

jimmychoux · 01/05/2019 06:21

Morning all,

It's day six for me today, I have just woken up and I'm bloody starving.

What are you all up to today? It's my day off so I am going to sort the house out and I may go for a walk round town, I feel a non food treat to myself coming on.

Have a good day

MiaCulper · 01/05/2019 06:43

Morning, jimmy, how is your head today?

I’ve been up since 5:15 because next door have got a new puppy and it is very yappy. He goes to work at half past five and is very loud about sorting the dog out before he goes. Sigh. We have had three months of peace since they lost their last, incredibly yappy pooch and it has been lovely.

Despite a good low carb day yesterday, I have put on 0.7lbs. Chuh. Is anyone else a daily weigher? I can’t stop myself since we got flash new scales.

Have good days, everyone.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/05/2019 07:00

Morning.

Jimmy I'm going for a mooch round the shops too- we are getting our new sofa delivered today so I'm going to treat us to some new cushions!

Mia I am a regular weigher, Michael Mosley recommends it in the blood sugar diet book, but personally I find I get a bit addicted to it ( I only ever weigh once a day though, Max) so I try to get into the habit of drinking a pint of water first thing so I don't go straight to the scales.

jimmychoux · 01/05/2019 08:19

@thenewaveragebear1983 good luck on the cushion hunt today. Love a cushion and I can't go to bed without fluffing them. Hate a messy cushion.

@MiaCulper I still have a bit of a headache but it's much better today. I feel a bit hungover from all these food adjustments.

Cocolapew · 01/05/2019 08:22

Morning everyone, I'm trying to hold off weighting myself until friday. I get disheartened if I weight myself too often and it doesn't get lower.
Half day at work for me then off to get my eyes tested, fingers crossed my stomach doesn't rumble.

OP posts:
jimmychoux · 01/05/2019 08:35

I am only weighing once a week. My first weigh day is Friday.

Which day does everyone else weigh? Be nice if we all had the same day.

Cocolapew · 01/05/2019 10:09

Mine is going to be friday too

OP posts:
Frankel9 · 01/05/2019 11:36

Hi everyone, I will weigh on Friday too. I have been doing ok, not stuck to it fully but pretty good. Lunch yesterday was lots of salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot and small bean salad. Dinner was 125 gr salmon, asparagus. Then I ruined it at 9.30 pm when I had a large glass of wine and two sausage rolls. I bought the sausage rolls for a picnic on Saturday that was postponed due to crazy high winds. Had asked everyone in the family to for the love of God eat them. I can't throw good food away and they were eat by 30th.. Just checked and they were 580 calories. Have to be strict today. Period due on Friday which isn't going to help matters. I am going to keep trying. Don't want to be overweight in hot weather. Done that before and its horrible. Wishing everyone a good day.

Cocolapew · 01/05/2019 16:28

So I had a banana and juice before work,4 water biscuits and butter at 10, I cant remember if I had another banana but i think I didn't Confused
Dh was off so ended upin the pub and had chips and chicken dtrips and a pint of Coors light Blush.

Friday suits me. It was last Friday’s weight that set me off on the egg days!

Been quite good so far today although possibly too many almonds. Things got a bit ranty in the staff room at lunchtime and I was just scarfing them down without thinking. I work in a primary school and morale has never been lower - we are stretched so thin now there is nothing left. There is a lot of, “Fuck it, I’m going to get a Subway/Gregg’s/chocolate.” going around. Hard to stick to salads...

jimmychoux · 01/05/2019 18:11

I found ice cream in the freezer. I ate all of it. 850 calories.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/05/2019 18:38

Oh jimmy! Tomorrow is a new day. Did you enjoy it at least?

I've been good for 3 days, it's amazing how much more in control I am when I don't eat sugar. I'm over the detox now, managed to divide up Easter eggs for the dc and not even tempted. I hope I can keep it up because I'd love to do 4 full weeks. Ran a fast 8.5km today too. Dinner was joe Wicks fishcakes and salad and now the kitchen is closed for the night.

MiaCulper · 01/05/2019 18:55

Chips for coco and ice cream for jimmy. Living the dream. I’m saving chips for when I can sit in the sun, possibly on the beach, eating salty, salty chips from a polystyrene tray. Best chips are at the end of a summer day.

MiaCulper · 01/05/2019 18:59

I am cooking three meals tonight. Low carb for me and dh. Carbs and meats for dses. Vegetarian for dd. Madness.

Cocolapew · 01/05/2019 19:13

jimmy did you not get an ice cream headache!?
I was in Whetherspoons and they put the calories on their menu so I didn't over indulge. 199 calories in a pint of Coors Light if you're interested, I should have had gin though, its practically healthy.
