Half a stone off in April (3kgs for the 'metrix')

Carrying on from the March thread (but all new joiners welcome), a fresh slate for April!

Please join me - all plans welcome (calorie counters, weight watchers, citizens of slimming world, intermittent fasters, eating-only-blue-food eaters). Here to support each other and aim to lose 7 pounds, or 3 kgs.

My starting weight for April is 65.1 pounds and getting to 62-ish or just under by the end of the month would be great.

Who is in?

I snacked ALOT. If I could pop a picture on via Android app of my weight journey I would.

Typical yo-yo!

shoelace88 · 11/04/2019 13:32

Congrats to everyone who has lost! Even if it's just a single lb., that's a huge accomplishment! Sending out lots of positive energy to anyone who is struggling or going through something. You are not alone, everyone has struggles and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep your head up! 😘
I have to brag on myself for a minute. I wasn't thinking I would get a workout in yesterday but I did. I took my youngest daughter to the zoo with my mom and brother and we were gone all day. I also had to go to my middle daughter's school last night. Well, I managed to workout before all of that!
Breakfast: 2 eggs and some fruit
Lunch: sweet potatoes
Dinner: salad with chicken
Snack: apple and pb
Workout: fitness blender

Been pinned under baby most of the day today and have only managed 2 chocolate straws. Send help and healthy snacks!!

I am hoping that my feeling 'meh' : headache, melancholic, introspective, emotional, weigh not budging, unusual hunger is because my period is approaching. Aaaah, raging hormones....

Well done on the workout shoelace and hope you managed to find some healthy snacks delphimum?!

I also have done a workout this am and walked over 15,000 steps in London today, pleased with that!

🤞Fingers crossed for the 2 job interviews!

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 11/04/2019 21:16

Goo luck to you too!

I may know tomorrow depending on whether there's a clear winner... Or after Easter if it goes to 2nd interviews

How about you

cricketmum84 · 11/04/2019 21:23

Hopefully tomorrow for me too. They are wanting to move very quickly on it and said they would go back to agency ASAP. They are wanting someone available to start in the next week or so and since my last contract ended a couple of weeks ago I am free from now lol!

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 11/04/2019 21:56

I've been temping with an agency. It's been bloody awful! Hope you've had a better experience

I've found this Interview without the agency help. Will be glad to end my association with them. The hirer has been amazing however!

Good luck!

cricketmum84 · 11/04/2019 21:58

Temp contracts are so stressful.

This one is an 18 month contract so not as stressful. I can't cope with the 3 month ones as I get so worked up towards the end of them if I have nothing lined up. (Like this time...)

cricketmum84 · 11/04/2019 22:05

Good luck. Let's hope we are both back here tomorrow asking how many calories are in Prosecco Grin

MercuryRising · 11/04/2019 22:06

2nd weigh in of April tonight and I have lost 2.5 pounds, so 5 pounds this month so far. It made skipping the chinese takeaway on Saturday worth it. I will try to catch up on the thread in the morning but wanted to say keep going ladies. We can do it!!

whatthefoxsaid · 12/04/2019 06:54

Well done everyone. There's some fantastic losses already this month and we're only halfway!
Good luck to you both cricketmum and funky I had an interview this week and got the job so hopefully the same will come to you both! The waiting to hear back is the worst bit!

aweedropofsancerre · 12/04/2019 12:26

Great job everyone! I finally succumbed to the scales. 12st 2 at the start and now 11lb 13....feeling motivated and have stuck to my calories counting, no wine and exercise....another 9lbs to go

GottaGetUp · 12/04/2019 12:45

Oops, you dropped off my Thread’s I’m On, prob because I promised to do yoga then didn’t do it 😬. But! I have done this morning, just so I could come back and post without shame 😄

Good luck to those waiting to hear about interviews. I am procrastinating from filling out my first job application in about 12 years. I am excited about the job but detailing my ridiculous pre-dc employment history is a bit depressing. I am waiting til the dc go back to school next week, but it’s just an excuse really, I could be doing it right now...

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 12/04/2019 13:36

I've heard nothing yet......

cricketmum84 · 12/04/2019 13:43

Me neither :( I've just been disinfecting my entire kitchen to put my mind off it. Must have earned some fit points doing that 😂

shoelace88 · 12/04/2019 14:00

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is prepared for the weekend. It's my first weekend trying to stick to my healthy eating habits. I won't lie, I'm a little nervous. Lol
Today is the day I grocery shop, so I have no food. The only thing I know I have is eggs and 1 apple.

cricketmum84 · 12/04/2019 15:45

I got it!!!!

And they've offered more than the high end of the advertised salary because I impressed them so much!!!

GottaGetUp · 12/04/2019 16:00

That’s amazing cricketmum, congratulations!

VivaFrida · 12/04/2019 16:01

Congrats cricketmum84 - what a great start of the weekend!! Just out of curiosity - what industry pays more that the advertised high end? Awesome anyway!

shoelace88 best of luck for your first healthy weekend!!

cricketmum84 · 12/04/2019 16:30

Thank you :)

I'm a Payroll Manager, it's really not normal for companies to pay more than the high end at all! I had expressed concern about the price of city centre parking though so I think they've done it to cover that.
