KickBishop I just saw your post about your BMI - amazing news! Well done Star

Quim I'm going to steal some of your snack ideas! I really can't eat eggs, I've never liked them. I wish I did though as they seem to be a golden food. I can eat them if they're well mixed in and cooked, like omelettes (or cake). I might look for some omelette style recipes and use these instead. I LOVE Babybel though, so I'll stick some on the shopping list for sure.

I've eaten way more than that at times huggy so don't worry. One day won't ruin everything as long as you go back to your normal routine right after. It's when you think 'well I've ruined it now so I'll binge all week' that it goes wrong, speaking from experience Grin

So I finally faced the fear and weighed myself: 9st 11lbs. Think I was 10st 5lbs after Christmas so very pleased with that. Got 3 more lbs to lose (and then want to stay there!) which sounds like nothing but is always the hardest bit but I seem to have found a routine which works now so will try and just carry on. I've fasted a couple days this week and not drunk any alcohol bar one glass of wine yesterday. Problem is, my ILs are here this wknd and I suspect this will involve a lot of food and wine Blush But will just have to try and limit the damage and then back to normal next week.

Yep, that's it. The old me would have seen this as "diet over, do what you want now" but I've not got up this morning feeling like that. I actually feel pretty rubbish (physically) because of my feast. My tummy hurts, I feel a bit sick and I'm bloated and sweaty. I'm going to eat less today, around 1000 cals probably, and drink extra water. Also hoping to get out for a walk at some point.

Well done on your loss bearhunt - that's brilliant. Is it 3lb more to your target?

Huggy even before I got to the end of your post I was thinking "we've all been there"! We absolutely all have, and it's totally part of the process - the good news is that when you have an unplanned binge like that and end up feeling guilty and cross I think it rewires some kind of neural pathway; your body has to retrain the "binge = all better" muscles into "binge = cross and guilty" ones, and in my case it happened surprisingly quickly - I can't remember the last time I went food-mad after a bad day. I definitely remember doing it though! There was a memorable incident with a block of blue cheese, the leftover beef brisket and a pack of rolls... Also MrQuim has started sometimes joining me on fast days and sent me a message a couple of weeks ago saying "When you skip dinner, do you ever get really ferocious sugar cravings and end up going to the shop and blackout eating half the sweet aisle? Asking for a friend" Grin Later on he related to me the things he'd eaten and they were such bizarre choices, like trifle and foam bananas and iced gems, I think he really was in a total blind sugar frenzy, like one of the zombies from 28 Days Later Grin

Glad I could help on the snacking front! Shame about the eggs (I don't think eating them in cake form would have quite the same effect Grin ) but protein in general is good - I've been known to cart around a small tupperware of chicken breast to nibble on, although it isn't as convenient (or as cheap) as eggs. Plain Greek yoghurt is really surprisingly satisfying - I think half the time it's about keeping your mouth entertained as much as your stomach, so anything with a good strong flavour like that (but not a really moreish flavour) is good. Same with tuna if you like that - again, not as convenient, but eaten on its own straight from the can, you'll find you tire of it quite quickly as it's a bit overwhelming, so you won't go mad on it and it'll keep you going for a good while.

Well, in Quim News, I've just weighed in at 1.1 kilos heavier than at the end of my Golden Sprint Sad I was a bit disappointed after really smashing it yesterday and doing pretty well on Weds, but thinking about it, all I changed was adding in three extra Golden Days to counterbalance two extra Indulgent Days, so it's fair that I've ended the month just 300g lighter than I started it. It feels like Golden Days should count extra if I do them on a weekend, AND when it's raining and I have a cold, but I guess the cunting laws of thermydynamics don't work like that...

Trying to stay positive by thinking about how enormous I'd be if I hadn't taken preventative measures!

Huggybear16 · 01/03/2019 10:43

Ahhh QuimReaper you're always so kind! Thank you.

I feel physically crap because of my binge last night. I want to remember how I feel right now - uncomfortable, bloated, puffy - and think of this when I'm next tempted.

Chicken, tuna, Greek yogurt are all things I like, so I'll get extra of those things today whilst I'm out shopping.

I totally get how disappointing it is when you have a gain, especially when you've been so good. I guess the thing to hang on to is that you HAVE ended the month lighter than you started, and that is an achievement. Well done Quim

AutumnNymph · 01/03/2019 17:08

Weighed in slightly heavier than yesterday which is weird as i have been quite good.

But even with the weird gain I am ending Feb with a loss of 1.3 kgs which i am fairly happy with.

Do we have a March thread yet?

Congratulations Lucked I imagine that must be a massive boost to hit a milestone like that.

I stayed the same this week but I need to get back to MFP again. I’m back on track with my exercise and attended run club twice last week plus a weights and body weight/core session and a solo 4 mile run. I’m hoping to hit 5 miles next weekend.

My diet is pretty good but MFP just keeps it on track.

Remember everyone summer is coming 😱
