Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

Portion size is definitely and issue for me had a shake for breakfast and lunch and 2 out of the healthy snack allowance so 14 almonds I was sad enough to count them out and then carrot and hummus and for tea I’ve had some turkey with curry powder yuk with green beans and half a portion of rice

MrsMummyBx · 23/01/2019 23:42

Thermae Spa in Bath is great, haven’t been for a few years, hope to go again later this year! It’s been refurbed recently I think.

For dinner I had a full on Burns night menu, cock-a-leekie soup (thinking not many cals), haggis neeps and tatties, (more calories) followed by beef, roast potatoes, (lots of calories), followed by cranachan, followed by shortbread (I’ve lost count). Let’s not forget copious amounts of wine and a bit of whisky....

Tomorrow need to be extra good!!!

Hi everyone sos I’ve just put my dinner into MFP and it’s -1250 calories!! Basically means I need to not eat for a day (OBVIOUSLY not going to happen) or I need to eat about 1000 cals a day for the next week. Argh!

🤣🤣🤣 at least you enjoyed it! It sounds amazing Grin do NOT starve yourself tomorrow as you will end up spiralling and eating even moreeee (speaking from experience!) tomorrow is a new day, and you're back on it Grin

MrsMummyBx · 24/01/2019 00:37

Tinsel I think you’re right I just need to wipe the slate clean tomorrow and start afresh! I will try and be extra good though!

Just finish the chips and feel bad!

I will follow my own advice tomorrow at work

ChubsyMcChubFace · 24/01/2019 10:10

Morning all!

I mean, yes, that’s a fair few calories mummybx, but frankly it sounds too delicious to have missed out on! Are you Scottish? Because, if so, it would’ve been rude not to! I’m a big believer in a loosely-based-on “The No S” approach. Holidays / festivals where you are part of the culture and birthdays are not days for counting calories!

I’ve decided to join the intermittent fasters on here. I was reading about some of the benefits and it sounds like a no brainer! I’m planning to eat between 1 and 9. Feel great so far, but it’s only 9.30 Grin.

Hope everyone has a good day.

TinselAndKnickers · 24/01/2019 10:11

Morning everyone! Almost the weekend.. almost.

Breakfast - will be scrambled egg!
Lunch - chicken, veg, some brown rice
Dinner - tomato and basil soup (probably)

I'm having a huuuge revision session tonight to try and cram for tomorrow's exam so it will be hard not to eat all the chocolate I have Blush maybe I will have some popcorn instead.

TinselAndKnickers · 24/01/2019 10:13

Ahhh morning chubsy! I'm doing 12-8 so similar Grin been doing it for a few days and honestly it's not so bad where you get used to it.

MrsMummyBx · 24/01/2019 11:59

Hi Chubsy, no I’m not Scottish, just love a good dinner!! It was worth it!

Good luck with the intermittent fasting!!

Tinsel- good luck with the revision!

Thank you! No eggs in the house so I had hummus and pita instead today.

How's everyone's morning going?

ChubsyMcChubFace · 24/01/2019 13:53

Thanks mummybx.

So far, so good tinsel!

I had my first food at 13:08.... not that I was counting down the minutes or anything Grin.

I had a sort of omelette-y thing with mushrooms, spinach, two eggs and some cheese with roast tomatoes and garlic on the side. Probably a bit oil-heavy tbh and the cheese a little calorie laden, but it has filled me up at least! So hopefully I won’t be reaching for crappy snacks later.

We have a family birthday meal this evening, but I will try to stick to salad and possibly a slither of cake... No calories after 9pm.

MrsMummyBx · 24/01/2019 14:33

Chubsy Your lunch sounds delicious!

I had a shake for brekkie and a hearty chicken soup for lunch. I will probably have a shake again for dinner if I can bear it!

Hi ladies, sorry for being late on today. DS has hospital appointments this morning. Today looks like this so far:

Coffee coffee poached eggs on toast coffee water. 😂

Stew and dumplings for dinner. Have run out of wine (sad face).

Lots of steps today so should be within my daily calories easily.

TinselAndKnickers · 24/01/2019 17:09

Oooh sounds great! Hope the appointment went well. I am giving myself tonight off (within reason) as I'm so hungry and will be unable to learn anything.. and trust me I need to learn a lot Blush so maybe low fat pasta sauce with brown pasta and chicken. Lunch was a jacket potato! Completely the opposite of what I said I'd eat this morning. Grin

MrsMummyBx · 24/01/2019 18:27

Boggle hope your DS appointment went well. Good luck Tinsel and don’t be too hard on yourself pre exam. Hope it goes well!

I’m off travelling tomorrow and away overnight so going to have to try and make sensible choices!!

ChubsyMcChubFace · 24/01/2019 18:44

Evening all!

Hope all went well with your son’s appointment boggle.

Yes, your brain needs food tinsel! I’m sure it’s a thing. Good luck with it.

This evening went well. We went to Wagamama in the end and, having looked it up on their website, I actually don’t think it was too bad on the calorie front. I had two gyozas, three pieces of squid and half a bowl of ramen. About to have some cake (and possibly a small Wine). Finishing calorie consumption at 9pm until 1pm tomorrow.

I feel like today as gone fairly well. Wonder how I’ll find the second day and if I’ll actually manage to lose any weight on this WOE or if I’ll just massively overcompensate by stuffing my face in my “feeding window”! I’ll certainly try not to.

What day is weigh in for most people on here? I haven’t stepped on the scales since I was weighed at the GPs a couple of weeks ago.

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/01/2019 18:53

Sensible choices but enjoy yourself too. Life is too short.

Thank Tinsel and Mummy, today we had audiology and physio. DS was extreme unwell from 17 days old and almost died (think people coming to ICU to say goodbye 😞) hence the horrible year last year.
He's well now but will be in and out of hospital(s) for various different things for the rest of his life. We got discharged from audiology 🙌🏻 and physio will be ongoing until he's walking. He's doing really well and is a little ⭐️

My dumplings are cooking in my stew and the house smells amazing! I'm so hungry!

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/01/2019 18:54

And Chubsy! Smile

Good luck with your exam Tinsel!

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/01/2019 18:55

Chubsy I love Wagamama! Grin

ChubsyMcChubFace · 24/01/2019 19:34

It was pretty delicious boggle. Did you know their chilli chicken ramen is “only” 600ish calories?? Vita massive. I couldn’t get anywhere near finishing it. A lot of bang for my calorie buck there Grin!

I’m really sorry to hear about the very rough ride you and your ds have had Flowers. So glad he’s doing so brilliantly! What an amazing little boy StarStarStar.

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/01/2019 19:40

I love Wagamama chicken ramen 🍜 my favourite SmileSmileSmileSmile

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/01/2019 19:52

Oops, posted too soon!

Thank you Chubsy. It's been a long and tiring road, a real rollercoaster. Hopefully I will never have to experience anything like it again!!

Bacardi101 · 24/01/2019 21:55

That Scottish sounds meal made me dribble a little! Sounds amazing! I feel a bit saintly today got back from work and instead of nose diving into the biscuit tin I am having a shake instead. This won’t last!

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/01/2019 21:57

Positive thoughts Bacardi! You can do this! 1 day at a time! God job avoiding the biscuits! Grin
