I have stepped away from the pancakes Stealth Halo My portion plate has arrived and it’s bigger than I feared it might be Grin I have been eating too many carbs though.
Hope things go well as you look to get all the nutrients you need Stealth. Well done for keeping going carrot and for staying the same whilst away bob

StealthNinjaMum · 05/03/2019 19:57

whencanIsleepagain I suspect carbs are the reason for all my weight gain and whilst I crept up after my big loss I never overload my plate with carbs.

Another bad / good diet day depending on how you look at it. I was so busy running around doing errands that I didn't have time for breakfast or lunch and so for evening had soup with seeds, yogurt and cheese drizzled on top and toast. So bugger all calories. I was full up but made myself have a pancake with lots of sugar. I haven't entered into my fitness pal but I would be surprised if the soup and toast was more than 400 calories and a couple of hundred extra for the pancake. Not much really but I don't feel hungry.

mrbob · 05/03/2019 23:13

Processed carbs are definitely the difficult ones for me. So addictive!
carrot I know it is slow but keep going! And you might find little changes make all the difference like the bread etc. We are in this for the long run!

mrbob · 06/03/2019 07:26

Joined the gym today and about to go to body pump. Totally terrified! I have been before and liked it but I know how much it HURTS to start with

Fiontar649 · 06/03/2019 07:32

Good luck mrbob Grin

WhenCanISleepAgain · 06/03/2019 07:36

Well done bob! Let us know how it goes!
Not sure if everyone is on the weigh in thread - I’m down 0.8lbs today so I’m really pleased to see the scales start to move down again.

PrivateCello · 06/03/2019 07:54

Good luck at the gym MrBob and well done on the loss when delighted the scales are moving again!

StealthNinjaMum · 06/03/2019 09:23

Wow! Impressive mrbob. Isn't Body Pump one of the hard ones?

Well done whencanIsleep. You might find that you have suddenly have a big weight loss followed by none with inch loss. That seems to my pattern. Keep going.

Might do what carrotpuff did and plot my monthly weight.

1st Jan 150.6lbs
3rd Feb 144.lbs
1 Mar 137.8lbs

I am also going to measure myself on the 1st of every month or any week I stay the same so am just popping off to do that for this month.

mrbob · 06/03/2019 10:05

It feels hard! But a total buzz. I tend to struggle to lift my arms or get off the toilet the next day... I had really light weights because I hadn't one it in ages and even with that it was painful. But I love feeling strong. Plus when you lift up 5kg and realise how heavy it feels it is nice to know you have lost that!

Good idea stealth I am too scared to measure myself but maybe once I get a bit smaller!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 06/03/2019 10:42

Thanks stealth and well done bob!

StealthNinjaMum · 06/03/2019 11:43

Hmmm is it possible that my bum would have grown an inch? Am ignoring measurements! Will try again on 1st April.

CarrotPuff · 06/03/2019 17:31

I'm jealous on body pump mrbob, I'd love to do that too. Go you!

Exercise didn't happen last night as all of a sudden I felt very achy and shivery. Still felt very wobbly this morning, but getting better now.

Had a sandwich and some choc digestives at work though BlushI couldn't face soup while feeling so crap...

mrbob · 07/03/2019 21:54

Hope you are feeling better carrot ?
Don’t feel too jealous- 2 days later and I can hardly walk Grin

CarrotPuff · 07/03/2019 22:20

I feel awful actually, it's gotten worse now Sad

wizzler · 08/03/2019 14:01

Hope you feel better soon Carrot

StealthNinjaMum · 08/03/2019 14:03

Oh carrot that's not good. I hope you're able to relax this weekend and be pampered.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 08/03/2019 20:20

How are you feeling now Carrot? DS has been unwell with a temperature and very grisly which is unlike him so it has been a long week in our house and today hasn’t been very successful diet wise.

aurorie11 · 09/03/2019 06:35

Slight whoosh, having lost 3lbs over 3 weeks, lost 3lbs in a week. Have had a mostly golden week

Started on 2/1 @ 13-11
Today (9/3) @ 12-3
Total loss 22lbs

Still loads to go, still in the obese category (I’m very short) I have a big birthday in 5 months and want the stones in a single digit, just have to stay very focussed.

Hope everyone is doing well Smile

aurorie11 · 09/03/2019 06:36

One question, has anyone changed scales?

We’ve got one mechanical scales thinking of buying electronic, but fearful scales we have are weighing light and getting disheartened to have to recalibrate my current weight

CarrotPuff · 09/03/2019 07:45

I'm better now, thanks, heading out for a run shortly. Carrot house is a bit plagued at the moment. DP is still fighting the same thing off, and DS has a bit of a cold, but he's not too bad.

Wow aurorie, that's very impressive loss, well done!

My weigh in day was yesterday, and I had a 1lb gain, but it disappeared this morning. Need to stay focused for the rest of the week and hopefully I can lose a lb or 2.

Decided to weigh myself daily as well, as I think it's more motivating than weekly. Will only record weekly weight though.

StealthNinjaMum · 09/03/2019 09:37

Great news aurorie11 I was 13 -9 once and now I'm 9 something (can't remember what). You've totally got this.

I bought electronic scales and I love them. My previous ones were just inconsistant and I had to squint to work out what my weight was on them the dial was so small. The thing is even if you do weigh more than 12-3 now it just shows you had a higher starting weight and have done an even more amazing job!

carrotpuff I am weighing myself daily which I shouldn't and I had another loss today. So far it's about 3lbs since Tuesday. I'm off to have some hummus and veg sticks now for breakfast.

wizzler · 09/03/2019 09:46

Ok team... why am I falling off the wagon?
Have lost my motivation, am eating crap and moving less. Give me a kick up the arse please

StealthNinjaMum · 09/03/2019 10:04

You tell us. Why have you fallen off the wagon?

When I have fallen off the wagon in the past it's because I have been unable to decline unhealthy food, a personal problem/ comfort eating, I have got bored with diet food, or it was just too much work to do a different meal to dc, or even a lot of work to meal plan for me.

Is it something you can talk to us about?

I have fallen off the wagon lots. In fact between 2017 and 2019 I was off the wagon. But I'm on it now and every day is a new day.

StealthNinjaMum · 09/03/2019 10:04

Sorry that sounded so bossy. I typed it without really looking at it.

aurorie11 · 09/03/2019 10:38

Hi Ninja thanks for the encouragement. How do you manage maintenance?
