Morning, still no chocolate and it's day 12!
Birthday in April and a trip to centrepiece booked for the Easter hols ..aiming to buy a new swimming costume in a smaller size for the occasion

mrbob · 12/01/2019 09:01

I am amazed by myself and my ability to stick to this for so many days too! Despite a bit of a stagnation of weight loss. I really hope it comes back- today I have had some celery sticks, a protein shake and a stir fry with carb free noodles so I can't possibly see how I can fail to lose weight but my body is a tricksy thing

TulipsInbloom1 · 12/01/2019 09:23

My energy levels from this new regime are much improved. I'd usually slug around on a Saturday morning drinking brews and reminiscing about being in bed.

This morning I was up and attem. Beds stripped, washing machine, dishwasher and tumbler all on, everyone dressed and fed. Going to take the dc to feed the squirrels at the park soon then dd wants to bowl this afternoon.

Super productive Tulips !

It's nice here today, might go to the coast and walk the harbour wall later.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 12/01/2019 10:26

Went out for breakfast today and have eaten half my body weight... very rough estimate is 900 calories. I hope to redeem that a bit with soup for lunch and salmon and salad for dinner plus by going for a run and doing 30 Day Shred. Here’s hoping I still get a loss on Tuesday.

StealthNinjaMum · 12/01/2019 10:43

Thanks for the new thread tulips

Of course we can stick at it.

I weighed myself again this morning - I know, I never learn- and I had bloody gone up .1kg. Trying to see it as only half a packet of butter but it's bloody annoying.

I will keep going. More water, more home cooked foods and I am going to a friend's house later, I thought I'd walk there rather than drive. It's only a mile each way but better than nothing.

wizzler · 12/01/2019 11:17

Today's challenge. I am tidying the house and I promise not to leave anything at the top or bottom of the stairs to be taken up or down the next time I go.

AFridgeTooFar · 12/01/2019 11:31

Will catch up in a second.

But...

Is there a difference? I can't see a difference.

Elmashbu · 12/01/2019 13:03

@afridge I think there's a difference around ribs/ bra band area that's the first place I lose weight or notice it gone anyhow

AFridgeTooFar · 12/01/2019 13:06

DH says I've lost loads from the top of my stomach, and my face.

AwdBovril · 12/01/2019 13:08

DH bought me 2 almond croissants for breakfast this morning (bought it last night). I asked him not to buy me pastry etc in future... apparently I'm being ungrateful. How do I deal with this? He knows I'm trying to lose weight, he said he thought it would be something easy he could give me for breakfast if I was ill in bed, as I often am.

I am forgoing lunch. And the pudding we'd planned to have after dinner this evening. Damn him.

FleeceDetective · 12/01/2019 13:14

Also determined to make 2019 my year! I joined slimming world last week and had my first weigh in on Thursday, 8lbs down which was the right push I needed. I’m also combining slimming world with 18:6 at the minute and finding that useful not to be constantly grazing all day.

Had turkey bacon, scrambled egg and mushroom for breakfast and just prepared a three bean chilli now bubbling away in the oven that I’ll have with a salad later on.

I need to lose 4 stone to get to the lowest ‘overweight’ weight, I’d really like to lose 5 stone though. Good luck everyone, it’s nice to know there’s more of us in the same boat.

FleeceDetective · 12/01/2019 13:16

Do you think he’s trying to sabotage your efforts Bovril or just not thinking at all? I think it would change how I approached it. Maybe you could make a big deal of saying how much you fancy a really nice fruit salad? And hope it filters through.

PrivateCello · 12/01/2019 13:45

I was up at 2 o’clock in the morning with the baby so was browsing the net for nice recipes. Came across a fantastic recipe for a chicken burger by Joe Wicks and that’s what we gonna have for dinner tonight on buns with some salad stuff. Hope y’all having a great day whatever you doing. Fridge your stomach has def shrunk!

PrivateCello · 12/01/2019 13:54

Great work Surferjet and Wizzler the sense of achievement feels so good!

StealthNinjaMum · 12/01/2019 14:19

That's awful bovril as a pp asked is he sabotaging it? How big is he? Do you think he's jealous? I would be tempted to have half with a piece of fruit and freeze the rest.

wizzler · 12/01/2019 14:38

Fridge, I can see the difference in the picture where you are sideways.

TheHoundsofLove · 12/01/2019 18:52

Well done for keeping going, Ladies!
Fridge I can definitely see a difference!
Today is my weigh-in day and I haven't lost anything this week - which was to be expected. However, my in-laws have now gone back to the UK and I've had a couple of days to lie in a darkened room so I'm back on it... I think I'm going to have a fast day on Monday to give myself a bit of a boost.

TheHoundsofLove · 12/01/2019 18:55

Oh, and my birthday is in April...I am definitely planning to be almost wasting away by then! Grin

TulipsInbloom1 · 12/01/2019 19:11

fridge there is definitely a difference. Well done!

Pinkroseuk · 12/01/2019 19:19

Yes a difference there @AFridgeTooFar well done :)
Had a really busy day today so not had time to do much exercise but have walked a fair bit so the steps have mounted up.
My birthdays the start of March and we're going to Italy end of March so aiming for then to have lost quite a bit.
March is always tricky as within 2 weeks there's mine, DH and both parents bdays so there's always cake about!!

HermioneWeasley · 12/01/2019 19:25

Noticeable difference Fridge - well done!

I’m 12:4 so a 2 or 3 lb loss depending on whether my starting point was 12:7 or 6.

Hairdresser said “you’ve lost weight”, but i don’t think a couple of pounds is obvious to anyone else, so I think he was just flattering me (which he is of course paid to do 😆)

HermioneWeasley · 12/01/2019 19:27

I’m on holiday at the end of March and would like to be below 12 stone by then (as I intend to EAT on holiday,)

NakedAvenger · 12/01/2019 20:28

End of week weigh in and it's a square 7 lbs of loss including 2% of body fat gone.
Delighted and amazed that that's 15% of my 50lb goal done already.

Have to keep telling myself that every little bit helps from now on as I'm expecting a slow down to 1-2 lbs a week which is when I get disheartened.

certainlymerry · 13/01/2019 07:20

I'm going to try and get back on the horse tomorrow. I've just lost the plot. Well done everyone who is sticking to it and has lost weight.
I just find it so demoralising when I am not losing weight and I start to feel really unwell about week in which doesn't help.
Please motivate me!!
