Well done wizzler!

StealthNinjaMum · 26/02/2019 06:24

Yay! Period has made no difference ..... Yet?

I am down from 142.6 to 140.7 lbs

My goal for Feb was to lose 4lbs and I only managed 3 1/2 but my measurements are down and if I can keep going at this rate I'll be almost at target by the summer.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 26/02/2019 06:43

Well done wizzler and stealth on your losses! I’m also going to weigh in tomorrow as I didn’t have a great day diet wise yesterday and Wednesdays have been going well for me recently Grin I need to get back to having soup for lunch because it’s something that helps me manage my food better over the day and works for me too.

AwdBovril · 26/02/2019 07:03

Hurrah! I weighed kast night at my slimming group, I've lost 4.6 kilos in 12 weeks. 1.4 kilos of that was in the last week alone, made a massive effort this week as I'd actually gained a kilo the week before, which was very disheartening. I have realised that although I am a fair cook, I am rubbish at cooking healthy meals for one - I simply cannot estimate portion sizes, so I'm having to follow recipes to the letter for the first time in nearly 20 years.

Congratulations to everyone who has lost weight.

Howlongtillbedtime · 26/02/2019 07:13

fudge Could you share your recipes please ? The on!y leek and potato one I have made had a load of cream in . Batch cooking for the freezer would work well for work lunches. And a lot cheaper than keep buying soup .

Well done everyone on all your losses. I had a good first day so just need to keep it up.

My usual pattern is for it all to go to pot after a week or two . I am going to have a look for a good book to try and keep me on the straight and narrow.

Will be meal planning today as well .

wizzler · 26/02/2019 07:13

Well done Stealth and Awd.

All the soup must be paying off!

Mimosa1 · 26/02/2019 07:53

Hi everyone, may I join you? I've got 10+ kg to lose and I'm determined to do it this year! I'm also on the bootcamp thread and it's working for me slowly but that's ending in 3 weeks and I need a bit more accountability going forward. Congratulations to everyone on their progress.

StealthNinjaMum · 26/02/2019 09:34

Thanks wizzler It's chicken soup for lunch today! and tomorrow and the day after And well done for your loss.

bovril that's a good result, 1.4 kg I think that's about 3lbs dodgy maths which is awesome for the 12th week of a diet. I thought my result was unusually good too. I have been doing this for 11 or 12 weeks too and have lost 25lbs.

Welcome mimosa. Years ago I lurked on the bootcamp and was too scared to join in. I'm not organised enough for it but it has really good results. I'd love to know what you're eating.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 26/02/2019 12:06

TheHoundsofLove · 26/02/2019 16:40

Well done to everyone who has managed to lose anything at all!
I don't know if any of you like podcasts, but I can really recommend Chloe Madeley's 'Bodcast' - I've really enjoyed it and have learnt loads from it.
In other news...I tried on my size 12 skinny jeans at the weekend...and they fit! They're slightly tighter fitting than I would ideally like, but they'll be perfect in a couple of weeks. 😀
Keep going, Ladies!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 26/02/2019 18:06

Fantastic work Hounds! That’s wonderful progress. It struck me earlier that if I keep going I could be a size 12 by summer which would be amazing.

AwdBovril · 26/02/2019 22:32

I did about 17k steps today (we went shopping for several much needed things), had no breakfast (no time / forgot), sushi for lunch, & this turkey chilli recipe for dinner, with some lettuce & cucumber. I've looked at a few of the recipes on the channel & quite a few of them look nice, & not too complicated. I have got a cup of hot chocolate now though, but I reckon I earned it.

My feet really hurt. And I'm sure my bank account is pretty unhappy too...

I've also looked at Jessica Smith on youtube, I'm going to try some of the easier workouts. Some are clearly aimed at the less fit, & there are plenty of harder ones as well. I am definitely starting with the very easy ones!

That sounds very promising, Hounds - keep on at it! I have some "motivational" smaller clothes, too.

StealthNinjaMum, Wizzler - if I'm having soup I tend to alternate between minestrone (just flavoured with Mediterranean herbs), Thai curry soup (I just get a jar of paste & then add some meat, veg etc), or miso soup (it is a fairly specific taste though & some people just don't like it). All are pretty easy as can be flexible re: what veg, protein etc you can get, or need to use up.

PrivateCello · 27/02/2019 07:03

Well done to all of you who lost weight. Good job Hounds and SNM!

wizzler · 27/02/2019 07:05

Hounds that's fantastic . Size 12 !

PrivateCello · 27/02/2019 07:35

AwdBovril I love love love Jessica Smith videos. After I had my son, I lost 25 kg doing her workouts, & watching my diet.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 27/02/2019 07:41

Wednesday weigh in and I’ve stayed the same. I’ve not heard of Jessica Smith so will need to look up her videos.

Howlongtillbedtime · 27/02/2019 07:45

A friend invited me round for a wine in the garden after work yesterday and I am weak Blush so not an ideal second day but I stuck well with my meal plan and today is another day .
I am also upping my water intake. I am normally pretty good at drinking it but making a conscious effort to drink water before just deciding I am hungry.

I am going to have a look at some soup recipes today and start making my own which will help keep me on track.

Doors anybody have any good book recommendations? I am looking for something to keep the motivation up when it inevitably falls by the wayside in a week or two.

PrivateCello · 27/02/2019 08:09

when I haven’t weighed myself today as I guessed it would show no loss. But hey STS is better than a gain?! Shall we try again tomorrow seeing as it’s the last day of the month?. I will be your weigh in buddy for tomorrow! Hope Tulip and Fridge are okay. Haven’t seen them around for a while now.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 27/02/2019 09:37

See you here tomorrow morning cello!

PrivateCello · 27/02/2019 10:47

See you here tomorrow Grin
Hope everyone is having a good day Smile

StealthNinjaMum · 27/02/2019 13:06

Thank you for that video awdbovril I have just watched the first two recipes and feel quite inspired. I have been thinking about doing an omelette so I probably will. I'll watch the rest later. Years ago I used to cook loads of stuff but I can't be bothered now it's just for me. I love the taste of citrus fruits so I will often do a lemony chicken soup with rice (I think this is loosely based on a Greek soup) and a limey fish soup with ginger, coriander and fresh chilli. In the past I've found pea and mint is super easy to do as well.

Not so sure I feel ready to watch any videos of workouts never mind do any. I've got a cold at the moment and feel pretty lethargic.

Hounds size 12 skinnies is amazing, I can't wait for that moment in two or three weeks when you tell us that they fit perfectly or they're even a bit loose.

whencanIsleep STS is a good result considering you said it hadn't been such a good week.

I weighed myself again and have lost 1lb since yesterday which is fantastic as obviously I wanted to be less than 140 by the end of the month and i hit 139.8 lbs. Obviously it's good but as well as stbexh being a prat I have had problems with dc and sometimes force myself to even eat minuscule portions because I know I need some nutrients. Anyway I am resolving a lot of these problems and actually feel pretty good today but I feel embarrassed that I am already really small and dropping the pounds quite quickly which is why I wanted to explain. I have now lost 26lbs since the beginning of December which I know is ridiculously quick.

Fiontar649 · 27/02/2019 15:34

Hi everyone! Got back this morning, and scales were NOT pretty - I am hoping it's a lot of bloating 😂
I didn't eat huge amounts but it was mostly off-plan. DH and I are going to have our final "cheat meal of the week " tonight, supermarket shop tomorrow, and then back on it.
Well done to the losers, welcome to the newbies... I will be glad to get back on track

PrivateCello · 27/02/2019 18:12

SNM you have done amazingly well and I can only applaud you for all your hard work as it’s def not easy to lose weight. Sorry ex and kids are being a pain, just thinking out loud that kids must be finding the change a bit difficult and perhaps that’s why they are playing up?. Hopefully as the months roll by, everyone settles down and things get calm. Well done for getting to goal this month, you have done well Smile

Fiontar am sure all the extra pounds were worth it and will be gone in no time at all once you get back into routine. Hope you have a fab time!
