Lots of compliments on my hair and actually my outfit too today Stealth though my hair still looks like it did when I left the salon. Remains to be seen if I can style it as nicely when I do it myself Hmm Exciting that you’re able to try different styles now.
Thinking of you pink - I’ve been there in that cycle of TTC, finding it so hard emotionally when others conceive so easily it seems, putting on weight and needing to lose weight for fertility treatment. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I did manage to lose what I needed then and I’m sure you can too in the next couple of weeks. Try to be gentle on yourself Flowers

Pinkroseuk · 24/02/2019 19:12

Thankyou @WhenCanISleepAgain. I'm trying to get there for June time but not sure I'm gonna make it :/
So hard to keep going but I know I need to and really want a little person next year to join our family

PrivateCello · 24/02/2019 19:14

Sorry you are having a tough time Pink. I didn’t see your post before posting. Please take care Flowers

When, your make over sounds lovely Smile

Pinkroseuk · 24/02/2019 20:34

Thanks @PrivateCello :)

wizzler · 24/02/2019 21:02

Pinkrose sending you Thanks. It's so tough in that situation.

Howlongtillbedtime · 25/02/2019 07:46

Can I sneak in and join you ? I am 2 and half pounds heavier than I was at New year when I started to try and lose weight which was not the plan !

I have 3 stone to lose and I am starting today. Snacks are my downfall. I don't think there is a crisp I don't love.

I know there is no secret to getting rid of the weight sadly but if you have a kick spare then I would appreciate it . Or if you do have any magic tricks then even better.

PrivateCello · 25/02/2019 08:23

If I start with my 31 Dec weight of 78kg then I have lost 1 stone ( well close Grin ) as I weighed in at 71.9kg. Not too bad considering I didn’t really try very hard in February!
Hello How!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 25/02/2019 08:46

Hi How and think we have lots in common given your user name.

That’s fantastic cello! Well done!! Great way to end the month.

StealthNinjaMum · 25/02/2019 09:08

pinkrose that sounds tough. Please stay on here and we can at least support you with the weight loss. 3kgs is a lot but it can be done. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that your family does get bigger.

privatecello thanks. By chance I couldn't find anything to wear today so am wearing a relatively short dress and I do feel good. I have been having a wardrobe clearout as I am intending to revamp my image.

privatecello wow that's about a stone! Well done.

whencanIsleep I'm so pleased, I bet you look fabulous.

Welcome howlongtllbedtime savoury snacks are my downfall. At my peak I could proudly eat two tins of pringles in day while pottering around in the kitchen. All I can say is that after a couple of years where I lost 5 stone I kind of lost a lot of my love for food and I just don't do that these days. My weight crept up 3 stone and I am now down nearly 2 again. I think that time and developing new habits is the only way to do it. I imagine we'll all be alive for another 20 to 40 years so a couple of years to kick the habit is nothing in the general scheme of things.

I weighed myself and I'm down a lb which is great as my target for Feb was to be 10st. I am now 10 st 1 and there's a few days left.

comeagainforbigfudge · 25/02/2019 09:12

Can i join as well? Weighed myself this morning and im 14st exactly. I have no motivation or will power though and keep just snacking. Need to get a grip.

Im going to supermarket this morning and will purchase a pile of veg to make soup to freeze. Then i have no excuse to eat crap at lunch time as there will be plenty to choose from..... in theory!

Need to increase fruit and veg as well. Already drinking lots of water so thats a start at least.

Also going to empty the cupboard of doom (snack cupboard) and put it away in a box in another room. Out of sight, out of mind. Cant get rid as partner not quite on board with the healthier diet idea but i need to get a grip on things as heading down the slippy slope to 40 and enough is enough!

Thanks for reading, if you got this far that is!!! BlushGrin

PrivateCello · 25/02/2019 09:20

Thanks SNM and when! Feels great to say that I only got 2 plus bit stones to go now compared to 3 plus at the start of the year.
SNM well done and wowser you must be rocking that dress esp as it’s such a sunny day today Smile
Ha When yours and How NN made me laugh Grin
Welcome Fudge! I don’t have a sweet tooth but I do love fudge Grin

WhenCanISleepAgain · 25/02/2019 10:39

Guess what!! I am wearing a size 14 dress today! I bought it in a sale last year and it still have the labels on because there was no way I could squeeze in to it. It fits perfectly now!
Welcome fudge!

StealthNinjaMum · 25/02/2019 10:59

awdbovril, sorry I meant to say well done on the lb. Like you I am also struggling with healthy meals for me. I feed my dc relatively well but they like things like sausages, pasta and toad in the hole that I don't really like. I have been making myself soup that lasts for two or three days and lots of salads. I tend to chop some of the ingredients up and use them for a few days so in the fridge at any one time I probably have chopped red onions and peppers to just shove in a salad with a potato or add some stock and frozen fish or quorn to make a soup. It's not the most interesting way of doing it but I'm ok with that.

welcome fudge. I started t 13 st 9 and got down to 8 1/2 st so it can be done. Whenever you have a wobble just start again and don't give up. Do you need a snack cupboard? I don't have one even if I put treats in the car I would get up at night and find them! and neither dc nor stbexh have ever complained. If they want a snack they have apple or a glass of milk. I have also started to freeze things like home made mashed potato, scones and cakes so that I don't eat something made for dc 'because it'll go off if I don't'.

whencanisleep that's great. The dress I'm wearing is also one I bought in the sales about 14 months ago and was too small to wear. I feel so confident in dresses yet because of my wobbly tummy I need to get some high waisted jeans.

Howlongtillbedtime · 25/02/2019 15:40

Thanks for the welcome.
I have had a good day so far and I am about to go for a walk in the sunshine with a friend rather than eating snacks while cooking dinner .

My plan for now is
No food until 11 ( I work in a school and this is first break)
Eat dinner before 7.30 and then nothing else after that.
Cut down on the booze and up the exercise.
One snack a day . If I say no snacks then I will cave in and end up with my head in a family bag of crisps or a big pile of cheese and crackers.

Sounds easy doesn't it ? Grin

PinkHeart5914 · 25/02/2019 15:43

Hello everyone

HowLongTillBedtime Welcome to the thread & welcome to you as well ComeAgainForBigFudge

WhenCanISleepAgain Yay for the size 14 dress, the boost of fitting it in to stuff you’ve had a while is great to keep you going.

I went for my run 5 miles this morning 😇 and I’m out in the garden with the dc now playing, this weather is very good for February.
Food for today;
B- bowl of shreddies with blueberries. Coffee
L- pastrami, Edam and mustard sandwich. Sweet chilli pea crisps
D- is going to be cod topped with a spoon of pesto, suede, carrot and potato mash, peas

WhenCanISleepAgain · 25/02/2019 16:57

Thanks everyone. I feel so chuffed to be able to begin to wear my size 14 clothes again.

Well done pinkheart. 5 miles on a Monday morning is impressive!

PrivateCello · 25/02/2019 17:08

Oh so delighted for you When! What a fab way to end February! On a non diet related news I got a raise of just over 8.5k and I am walking on air today Grin with this grin on my face!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 25/02/2019 17:15

Oh wow well done cello!

PrivateCello · 25/02/2019 18:07

Thank you when.

Pinkroseuk · 25/02/2019 19:04

Thanks @wizzler and @StealthNinjaMum.
I have stuck to it today so day one down :)

StealthNinjaMum · 25/02/2019 19:46

pinkheart 5 miles is amazing. Another lovely meal. I have some fish in the freezer so I might copy your cod tomorrow by adding some pesto.

Well done cello can I have some of it?

Brilliant pinkroseuk you can do it.

Guess what? I had soup for lunch and salad for dinner .

My period came too so I may put on weight tomorrow - but not sure when the period weight gain happens if at all? I always mean to track it and then never do.

comeagainforbigfudge · 25/02/2019 21:49

Thanks for the welcome

stealth i agree but OH just buys sweets n treats anyway. So need to work on that. He a skinny bastard so doesnt think he needs to watch what he eats even though he has a pot belly happening

I have made a huge pot of pea n ham & leek n potato soup. Portioned it up and froze it so i cant use my usual "nothing to eat" excuse. Now i can just grab it and go. Plan to make a lentil soup and a lentil dahl to freeze as well but that can wait til sunday.

Just need to do a meal plan for evening meals but inspiration has left me tonight.

Congrats on the pay rise cello

wizzler · 25/02/2019 22:34

Sorry not had time to post much.. but good luck to everyone weighing in tomorrow

PrivateCello · 26/02/2019 05:51

Oh thanks guys! Good luck to everyone weigh in today, I won’t be today as yesterday was a bit of a write off for me. SNM mine happens a week before and I lose it by the second day. Not sure if it will be same for you and yes happy to share with you Grin

wizzler · 26/02/2019 06:11
